Satus Springs Hideaway
This was the perfect spot for us. We knew there would be road traffic and being from the city it didn’t bother us. I prefer trucks over sirens any day. The host was very communicative before and during our stay. He provided a spotless port-a-potty and a picnic table on a raised platform. Perfect for cooking and eating. Really dark at night and we were afforded some great star gazing.

Tom was super accomodating to our group! The amenities helped us a ton, and the space was great. We fit a 24 foot rv, a pop up trailer, and parked our drift boat and vehicles. Our kids loved all the space. Would highly recommend and definitely use again!

Still many kinks to work out there. Mostly it was just incredibly noisy and knowing the rented tent area could be shared with strangers leaves you no privacy. Gate lock was difficult to unlock and over all the bedding didn't smell fresh or clean. We ended up using our own bedding. The bed he provides is an air bed but was low on air with no electricity to blow it up. Tent was supposed to be lighted but he didnt leave the battery. He didnt tell us there were ear plugs available and they were not in the tent but rather hanging on a nail near camping stove which we didn't find until morning. For sure to late. We actually packed up and left a day early!! It feels like your sleeping on the side of the road on a pull out!
Owner was nice but didnt but attention into the details.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and well maintained site. Being next to the highway there was some traffic noise but died down later in the evening. Be sure to follow instructions on entering the site since semi-truck traffic on highway can make entering with a longer trailer a bit challenging.

Great after a late-night Goldendale Observatory show! Tom was super communicative and it was a very flexible check-in. We're happy we found it!

Tom was a great host and directions were easy to follow. It was great getting to camp with a bed and chill out on the hammock.

This is a nice level gravel camping spot, perfect for our Jeep and roof top tent.
Tom, is super friendly and responds quickly to any questions you may have.
It’s only about a hundred feet from a heavily trafficked highway, so bring your earplugs to sleep at night.

Incredible star gazing !,
Well appointed campsite, nice location as we were coming back into the state headed for Seattle ,spent the night before making the final push over the pass.
Tom was helpful but not in the way

Had a great stay. The tent and bed set up was better than expected. Having the gas fire pit was perfect. The grills provided made cooking a breeze. Great friendly host!

Tom is a very nice host. He made sure that we had everything we needed and was very helpful. The site is right off the highway, so it is loud. It was great home base to do some wine tasting!

Plenty of room for several RVs, on a level gravel pad. Very close to the highway, but we didn't notice as much traffic noise as we expected.

Conveniently just off the highway and yet private and safe. This place is clean! A private little privy with no odor. A spacious lighted tent--no need for a lantern. Besides a very comfy bed, there is room to do my yoga. A table and chairs that fold up and out of the way when not needed, but there to put my bag on and to have a seat. A wonderful steel barrel for a campfire with a clean metal grate on top for grilling! Lots of firewood available. The campfire will be replaced with a gas fire in the drier season. Tom was friendly and eager to make my stay comfortable but left me alone to relax.
Must do's from here: head S to Greek Monastery Bakery for breakfast, coffee, and a mini cheesecake (lemon). 20 minutes to Maryhill Museum--an eclectic collection and fantastic cafe. 5 more minutes down the road to the Maryhill Winery. Unbeatable views and deals to be had.
I really enjoyed my stay here and I can't wait to return!

Beautiful trees, starry nights, no bugs. clean site and porta potty. Host was friendly and helpful. He provided us well water and garbage can. However, the big downside to this property is it’s proximity to the road and the traffic noise. All day and night. Bring your earplugs.

We had a great weekend in this remote spot in the middle of nature. Tom was a fabulous host and helped us explore the neighborhood. It was fun zooming around in his ATV

A private camp spot right off the highway. Big enough for the 2 trailers in our group and tons of room for the kids and dogs to run. Tom is a great host. Lots of hiking and views to be found.
It's a little tricky making the turn off the highway, but plenty of room to maneuver once you're up the gravel driveway.

This is a simple and clean clamping spot right off the hwy and just up the street from St. John’s Monastery and Bakery. Tom is a reall nice host and meet us when we arrived. He even chopped us some firewood. The site has a very clean porta potty and plenty of places to pitch a tent or pull in an RV. Just a heads up... the hwy noise is definitely present so that is worth mentioning. We found that we got used to it and it because white noise.
