Our host Jenny was great. She checked in as soon as we arrived and was very friendly. The site was great and spacious for my large family. There were so many activities onsite. We were about 8min. From lake Yale. I will definitely be returning soon.

Great stay! Campsites are spread out with nice privacy at site #3. Porto potties were super close, very clean and plenty of toilet paper. A foot pump sink! Didn’t use the shower but loved knowing it was there! Perfect proximity for Ape Cave adventure weekend! A little far from lower Lewis falls but closest I could get with little notice so it worked out great! Also close to Moulton and Yacolt falls!

Overall, it was fine. The potable water was not from a drinking hose, just a cut off garden hose. The neighbors animals were loud, and other neighbors had loud karaoke late into the night. The host did not come meet us, but met the neighboring camp, which felt odd. The outdoor shower was wonderful! Easily the best part of this camp.

Loud rooster and dog on site

Clean campsite with plenty of room and easy to find. My one flag is that there is a rooster and dog onsite that are quite loud and can make it challenging for even deep sleepers like myself to sleep.

Had an amazing time. My family loved it. Well kept maintenance . We were a group of 13 With Kids de Absolutely. Enjoy that place… will come back again. Something to be aware of. There is loud noise of animals at night, which we are OK with.. we took an RV of 30 feet feet with no Problems. Love the little shower that they have install there..

Great campsite, not crowded!

Overall we had a great camping experience. The site was beautiful, with plenty of space, clean porta johns, a hose for water and two chimineas for fires. The soccer field and trampoline/climbing frame were kid-friendly and helped keep our toddler entertained. The host was friendly, responsive and willing to let us use an additional table/chairs set when the one provided wasn't enough to seat our whole group. The only cons were out of the host's control. First, the lake access was by car, not walkable; second, the campsite is adjacent to a property that's home to chickens, roosters, geese, and dogs. Unfortunately, the dogs and roosters woke us up during the night. That aside, it was a great place to camp!

Ape Cave Trips w/Kids

Stayed here two nights with 3 kids (ages 7-11) while exploring Ape Caves. Directions were clear, site was as described, porta potties were well maintained, kids loved the outdoor games. The outdoor shower was a huge plus. Host was very responsive. We had zero signal which was great on one hand but slightly problematic in some instances. I believe some other reviewers mention nearby dogs and roosters which may be a nuisance to light sleepers, they didn’t bother us though.

It is a beautiful place! The sights are clean and well maintained. The showers were fantastic after hiking.Jenny is very responsive to any issues that arise. My family had a fantastic time and we will be back! Highly recommend!

This was a super good spot to stay. Close to lots of activities and plenty of room to camp. Jenny and her husband were super friendly and accommodating. Sounds like there's even more improvements on the way. The guardian dogs at the neighbors did not bother me while sleeping, and they kept the coyotes away that I could hear in the distance. I definitely recommend staying here.

Great location for proximity to hiking destinations, thoughtful arraignments (space for tents and we were able to fit two people comfortably in the trailer!), and clean facilities. We wish we would have brought ear plugs for more restful sleep, many animal noises (dogs, rooster, etc) throughout all hours of the night.

The space is lovely with lots of open area, beautiful light, and easy access from the main road. We had lots of room, clean water, the shower was well appreciated by our teenagers, and the other campsites were as far away as a normal campground if not more, and there were only two of them. The shooting range was not a problem at all (we were gone during most of the day). Roosters outdoing each other at midnight is a new one for me but didn't bother to much. Definitely make sure you are ok with barking dogs. Most of our family slept fine but for me, earplugs were no match for the dogs going incessantly at all hours of the night.

Good location. However, hosts appeared to be out of town. The porta potties were almost overflowing and smelled very bad by site #3. We went to town when we needed to sit down. Weren't really sure the boundaries of site 3 but it turned out it didn't matter. I know dogs are dogs but what did they do to piss off the neighbor to train the dog to bark steadily all night long? Boy does that dog bark.

This site was perfect for what we were looking for when camping in the area. Amenities were on target, the grounds were great. Sure you had some roosters and dogs that bark but not nearly as a distraction that what has been stated. I slept like a baby. All sites were full and active (only 5) and everyone was friendly. The shower on site is great, if there were only one thing I would change, it would to put up shower hooks inside the shower stall to hang cloths or towels. I will most likely be staying here again.

The spot was great to get us closer to our Mt St Helen’s trailhead. Our group of three enjoyed the property basically to ourselves on a Sunday evening. We loved the option to shower, presence of garbage cans, and flat group for tent pitching. Unfortunately the small camper felt too cramped for two people, which was the original plan, so I’d recommend people count on it fitting one person. Additionally the nearby roosters and dogs made noise throughout the night- we used earplugs and still woke up throughout the night.

Host was friendly and communicative. Site had a small camper to sleep in and plenty of room for a large tent. There was a lot of space for games and activities with plenty of things to keep kids or adults occupied. There were alot of rooster noises but never bothered us. We saw a couple cats, rabbits and deer visiting the site. Everything had a great camping feel with so much to do in a short drive if needed. We would definitely stay again.
