Great stay at Quilcene Lantern! Came to see a show from out of town and was nice to just have to walk back to camp from their awesome venue! Looking forward to see more music here 😊

We had a great stay at the Lantern, grilled out during the day, danced in the barn, snuggled up by the fire pit, and then made the easy walk back to the Alder Grove campground! Portapottys were well maintained

Wonderful, private RV spot. Old growth forest that we explored just a bit before we had to leave. Responsive host, even brought us a fire ring after we checked in for us to have a fire. Cute cabins and an orchard as well as we heard a few goat noises. Will be back when we can explore more!
It was so serene out there and the Barn is champ!! So gorgeous! Love it! Plus the shower is fabulous! A MUST check out! ❤️ the host couple are so wonderful n welcoming people!

Alder Grove Dispersed Tent Camping
What an absolutely stellar experience. We were bikepacking so I really appreciated not feeling like I was paying extra for car/trailer amenities like a separate site per group, a big parking space, power, etc. while still having a really nice spot to disperse camp. And there was potable water nearby as well as shared picnic table. Check-in is an absolute breeze (grab an envelope from a bulletin board) and the property is easy to navigate with the included map and good signage. On top of all that, the family that owns the Lantern is lovely. I can't wait to visit again.

A pretty and spacious site surrounded by trees, private from the main venue, but short walk to the Quilcene Lantern barn for events. We will be back for sure!
Stayed 2 nights and loved waking up in the quiet alder campground with the gentle calls of a few nearby goats adding so much charm. Lucky for us, there was a show on Thursday night and we really enjoyed all 3 sets in the beautiful restored barn. We'll definitely come again for more camping and music!

The site was spacious and peaceful. Right across from a small apple orchard. Wonderful place to stay for the weekend. Check in was easy and quick.

Wonderful host, location, privacy
The host Laurie is exceptionally responsive and helpful. All of the staff we've met are gracious, and the campgrounds are absolutely phenomenal for someone (or two) who likes to escape every now and then to reconnect with the world.

We had a wonderful time. Showed up on a Friday with our camper and all was calm and peaceful. No pressure to meet and greet or check in. Grabbed our info packet and set up camp. Property is amazing. Our site had power and water, what a treat, and surrounded by majestic trees. Next day we watched a concert in that gorgeous barn. Had a blast. We'll definitely be coming back soon.
The alder campground was beautiful as was the entire property. I really enjoyed my time there.
The only suggestion I have is regarding the portapotties. I wonder why there aren't outhouses? The portapotties were not in the best shape and smelled terrible, which surprised me as there were many of them and not so many people on site. I suggest ensuring they are cleaned more regularly. I suspect that I followed a large wedding event and so they hadn't been cleaned yet. But if I were part of that wedding party, I would definitely want an immaculate bathroom set up.
Steve and Laurie are rad people and curating something very special. Excellent hosts with great taste.

Wonderful and beautiful venue. We camped in our van overnight after a show and only drawback was lack of bathrooms- there were only 2 portapotties for entire venue with lots of campers and a far walk from our camp area. High recommend but hope for more portapotties in future!

My partner and I booked 3 nights of camping at the Quilcene Lantern whilst participating in a workshop nearby. The first night we arrived and there was an open mic in a space visible and audible from the camping area which wasn’t the peace and quiet we were hoping for, but we were aware there would be an event on the property that night. The vehicle camping field is near wetlands and had the most mosquitoes of anywhere we went on our trip, so we weren’t compelled to hang outside anyways. The second night we went for a nice walk around the property before holing up in our camper to hide from the mosquitoes again. The third night we were exhausted from our workshop and so excited to come crash back at camp, but there was a wedding happening at the property that we were not aware of. The entire reception was visible and audible from the camping field, plus guests were using it for overflow parking. We left in frustration at 2:30am to go sleep in a parking lot instead. We had even paid an extra weekend surcharge to stay that night. If you are at all considering staying here, call and ask if there are any events happening because that ruined our experience.
I am so grateful for this space. Thank you 🌈 If you are ready for land that offers gorgeous and restful days and nights, this is the place. You can check their event calendar to find out if there are happenings that may interrupt your stay. Personally, the crowd they attract are delightful.
Really special site on a farm that also houses a music venue, beer & wine bar and coffee house. They just finished constructing a really nice shower house and washing station that guests can use. The host, Laurie, was very welcoming and accommodating. When I realized I didn’t need the electricity that the rv site offered she switched me to a less expensive (also less private, but just fine) spot to park my van. It’s also a 25 minute drive to Port Townsend, making it a convenient location for exploring the area. Highly recommend!

Outstanding campsite! Very clean porta-potty with a nice sink. Charming land and venue. Owners were very accommodating and provided clear instructions/directions. Very impressed!

The farm is beautiful and a perfect place for a large group camp out or family event or wedding. There were just 4 of us but we enjoyed camping in the grove and got a breakfast sandwich in the morning. Check out the cidery nearby.

Tent camping here was genuinely fantastic. The staff were incredible, and my partner and I felt truly so welcomed to be there. The beautiful land was clean and well taken care of, and the family that owns the location and venue are doing their utmost best to make it as perfect as possible.
We were lucky enough to be there when they had an open mic night and got to enjoy some fantastic local music, on top of hard cider sources locally.
Based on every aspect of our stay, not only can I say I greatly recommend this location, I also can say with confidence my partner and I will be returning whenever we can!
