Reg's land and cabin are lovely. He's a sweet and accommodating host :) The property feels a little magical with a walk along the river and a big beautiful tree to greet you. The record collection is fun to dig through - some real gems in there.

Reg’s hundred acre wood is a charming mix of huts and outbuildings new and old. The vegetation overgrowth and misty air conceal various construction materials and antiques around the property. Dishes and coffee are available, and the BBQ worked as long as you can squeeze into the narrow place where it’s situated. The washroom is cute, the kitchen is slated for demolition, and the cabin we stayed in was warm. Reg was enthusiastic about showing us around the property, and introducing us to the sheep.

Reg is friendly and check in was very easy. The place had everything we needed and the space heater worked very well even on the lowest setting. The area is beautiful, particularly the little grotto area down the hill. I think it's an excellent stay especially for the price.

Reg has created a very cool space on his property. We loved staying in the analogue room, it felt very private and the bed was really comfortable! There’s a cozy washroom with a clawfoot tub and hot water and a kitchen both only a few steps away.
The property itself is stunning! Lots of hiking to explore and a volcanic grotto that had some of the most incredible rocks I’ve seen. This place is magic!

Beautiful property with direct access to Sumas Mt. Very quiet. Shared washroom and kitchen were clean and well kept. Quite a comforting experience with Reg and other the tenants. Would recommend.

We had a perfect weekend away at the Analogue Room. It’s nostalgic and homey, there’s privacy, a gorgeous view, scenic artwork and a sense of community throughout the property. This experience will do wonders for the soul and your mental health. Reg is a warm and welcoming host and has a curated a space that is visually stunning, safe and inviting. 10/10.

As other reviews said, if you stay at the tent site you will hear road noise. I was primed for this, so it didn't bother me. Reg's place was absolutely perfect for a quick spot to car camp before heading back home from exploring Baker. He and his partner Amanda were very communicative and kind. The property is clean and charming and I can tell they both have a lot of pride in it. I will definitely come back, next time to hopefully rent a cabin. Thanks again for opening your special space to others!

Reg was a wonderful and thoughtful host! He was extremely accommodating, we came on a very hot day and he provided us with a box fan in the cabin. The land is beautiful and we loved talking to Reg about his connection to the land. The bathhouse and kitchen are great additions and made our stay comfortable. The cabin itself was cute and cozy.

North Wind House - Analogue Room
The Analog Room is a fun, private, curiosity shop style space on a property that also hosts other guests. We slept well on the firm but comfortable mattress. We enjoyed our mornings sitting and listening to the birds in the field and distant canopy, were able to make simple meals in the well-equipped shared kitchen, and enjoyed wandering around the nearby land to some of Reg’s recommended sites.

Pretty great Hipcamp!! The community kitchen and washroom are so nice, and everything is clean. Both cabins have privacy; willow where we stayed has a bit more room and an extra bed while analogue room has a nice view of the field and hills. One note is that willow also is in clear view of the string lights, which stayed on all night. Was hard to sleep, since they shone through the curtains quite bright. Not sure if that’s the usual or a one-off but would suggest a sleep mask.

The surrounding nature was beautiful and we loved listening to the many birds singing and also enjoyed climbing up the knoll at the edge of the forest to watch the sun set. The creek area was beautiful, too, and if it had been just a bit warmer, we would have dipped in. The land manager made us feel welcome (Reg was away) and was prompt to answer questions when we had them. The shared washroom and kitchen were clean, as was our room. We were disappointed, however, that almost all of the vinyl records — a key reason for picking the Analogue Room, where we stayed — were locked up (we were told because of previous guests taking them). We had also expected there to be a picnic table at our site based on the listing so we could set up our own camping kitchen, but there wasn’t a table surface of any kind nearby, so we set up a makeshift one with things found in the area. We would have brought our own if we’d known. Be advised that the room is quaint and cozy with plenty of blankets — and also a bit more rustic than expected (only partially working outlets) and quite small with nowhere to sit inside besides the bed. We also didn’t expect it to be part of a larger fiberglass barn (the other cabins on site are stand alone). Our favorite parts of the location were its privacy from the other sites and land manager cabins, a dedicated fire pit (buy wood before you arrive as none was available onsite), and being able to sit on the porch during the rain and look out.

We had an amazing time at Regs property, especially my dog who got to roam around the fields and the lava tube creek in the back. The creek water was ice cold and so refreshing to dip into. The analogue room was cozy with vintage decor, and stayed very cool inside during the day for a nice little break from the sun. Campsites didn’t seem too close to one another, and having the community bathroom/kitchen was very nice to have. And bugs didn’t seem to be a problem at all this time of year. Would definitely love to come back with a group to stay in multiple sites. Thank you Reg for sharing your property!

Everything about this place is magical!! The analog room is so cozy and private, the fields are gorgeous and let us run the dogs, and the grotto is beautiful and refreshing!! Reg is an amazing human who has cultivated a beautiful space for humans and animals to coexist in a beautiful and simple way. I could not recommend this place more

My stay here with my pup was so relaxing and rejuvenating! The cabin was cozy and the views of the mountains were incredible. I enjoyed the trail down to the water and connecting with other campers. This was the perfect weekend getaway from the city. Thank you, Reg!

Marvelous time at Reg’s homestead. Moon was bright and blue, stars shining, fire pit was a treat and as warm as the welcome, surrounding area vast and beautiful, Analogue Room was cozy and full of music to listen to. Thank you Reg and all, we shall return!!

Beautiful, fresh, and cozy. The 2 of us felt so welcomed by Reg as soon as we met! He walked us through the property, introduced us to the Cat, explained the essentials, and even offered us a bigger cabin with a loft that happened to be open, which was absolutely a treat. The location was beautiful, nestled in farmlands and facing a mountain, with everything we needed including a hostel-style kitchen and shared bathroom. It was a cool April night but we found our cabin and common spaces to be perfectly warm.
Definitely recommend checking this place out and giving Reg some appreciation for the beautiful work he has done with his property and space! We hope to come back again someday. A swim in the Grotto would be epic during the hot summer months ;)

We loved our two nights in the Analog Room. Such a peaceful property with lots of little nooks and nature adventures. The river is beautiful, as is the view from the hill. Reg was very kind and accommodating. Would certainly visit again :)

We arrived after 11pm and Reg still promptly greeted us and gave an informed, helpful tour. He's clearly put SO much work into this whole place, and I'm so bummed we had no time to properly enjoy it!! Our room was cozy, quiet, warm, and only an hour away from Mt Baker. Highly recommend!!
