Lefever Holbrook Ranch

Paulette was an incredible host, introducing us to kittens on the farm that my daughter adored, allowing us to pick some produce, and providing light to set-up the tent as we checked in late. This spot comes highly recommended for RV and tent campers, and especially stands out as a fun place to camp with young children.

Perseids at the lookout

This is such a special site! Paulette was incredibly welcoming, and had lots to share. The site is well away from everything with plenty of space for my group and the dogs. The lookout is adorable. The views, the sun set/rise, and the night sky were spectacular. 100% would recommend to anybody!

Paulette was so warm and welcoming. Her property has lots of animals including a red fox we saw after dark. The views are stunning. It’s also a short drive to the Goldendale Observatory, making it a short trip home after the nighttime presentation.

Recommend Insurance

We didn’t actually get to stay here, thanks to a sudden infestation of flying ants. After wrangling family from all corners of the state, the host canceled just hours before check-in. Getting our money back took over a week. If you do decide to roll the dice and book, I’d recommend insurance, an air mattress, and maybe a shovel since you’ll be digging your own latrine for this “premium” stay.

It was a beautiful Ranch! Gorgeous views. Paulette was very accommodating. Unfortunately for us though, the wind was high and we were tent camping so the weather wasn't great. Definitely recommend if you have a comfy place to sleep. Pricing is a bit high in our opinion. But if you can afford it, definitely go! Gorgeous place, fun to see the animals. Especially the peacock 🦚 😄

Vintage Shepard Wagon

A nice farm with a beautiful view.

A nice farm with a beautiful view and lots of room for any size of vehicle (including towing large trailers). The team there is very friendly and helpful. Overall a wonderful location for visiting the area. We had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE which was just as fast as any 5G we've experienced and there are no trees blocking the northern view for Starlink. Be aware there's no privacy between camp/parking sites and it's an active farm with all the animal noises that go with it. They're not intrusive, but you'll know they're there... We'll definitely be back if/when we visit the area again.

Magical Night Sky

Extraordinary views and delicious produce! This was a really special place to camp, enjoy the night sky and the expanse of the Washington landscape. Paulette was an amazing host and shared much about the ranch and its workings on the farm tour. Plus amazing pickles and meat from the farm store!

Fun Furry Friends and Star Gazing !

This is a fantastic spot if you love farm animals and beautiful grass swept views. Paulette was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make my 8 year old daughter feel welcome. She showed her the baby lambs that were only 3 hours old and let us check in on the critters and watch the farm chores. There is a spot with electrical for hook up and a bunch of different accomodation options. We loved the play structure and their gift shop had some nice treats. The farm dogs and cat were so sweet and friendly and my daughter loved all the chicken and peacock feathers. The location was in the middle of some delicious winneries and the Observatory is an absolute must!

We camped at Paulette's farm last fall and again this year. It is a beautiful spot with big views of Hood, St. Helens and Adams. Her gardens are impressive and charming and the walk up to the lookout is not to be missed.

Absolutely an amazing stay! The ranch is so quiet and peaceful. The views are incredible. Great sunsets and stargazing. Paulette is a gracious and welcoming host. The play area was great for the 3 kids ages 8, 3, and 2. The farm dogs, sheep, and other animals also helped entertain them. It was truly great to see a working ranch raising food responsiby. Stop in the farm store and support the ranch by purchasing what is grown there... Her bread melts in your mouth.

Safe Haven in a Storm

Coming in from the north in a rented oversized camper van on the heels of a wind and rain storm in the area, I was personally greeted by Paulette (and the friendly ranch dogs) with much ease and grace. There were several sites offered for me to choose from, and I was able to quickly set up and settle in. The next morning, after the storm had passed, I was greeted by a beautiful sunrise and a peacock! This site felt like a safe haven -- in a literal storm. Before I continued on in my journey, I had the opportunity to visit the farm store and go for a walk around the ranch with my pup. Highly recommend!

Paulette's place was the perfect overnight stop on our way to a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater. We camped on the lawn, but would definitely try the sheep wagon or lookout tower on a future stay! Great little common area for eating meals or playing a game of cards, and a beautiful garden!
