We had an absolutely lovely weekend camping at Lazy River! Joe was so kind and welcoming--he escorted us to our site and even filled up our water jug for us. Highly recommend!

We came up to see the midsummer renaissance faire and found this amazing little site to stay at. It's close to the faire but out of town enough to be quiet and see the stars. We stayed at the maple lane site. It was a very private site, surrounded on all sides by trees. It also has a path that goes straight to the bathrooms. We were able to get to the site with our small car, we just had to go slow. The host was very responsive, accommodating, and just a wonderful guy. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to seattle!

This was our second time staying and it was better than the first! The river is amazing, the site in the woods was cool even though the temps were in the 80’s and Joe was as friendly and helpful as ever!

He provides anything you need while camping and goes out of his way to get anything you want to get comfortable on his property. Wears his heart on his sleeve, kinda guy. Thanks Joe for everything. What a Beautiful, Magical Place full of ancient forest wisdom and whispers from the clouds.
My 3 & 9 year old children will have the blessing of this memory forever in their hearts. They immediately adopted Uncle Joe and wanted him to stay with us, what a treat to meet him and his Spunky Pup Kita! The kids adored their visit! Joe made sure we felt completely comfortable and not without a thing. He surprised us with coffee & hot chocolate’s on day two and boy did I appreciate that mid trip with two kids! 🙏
I felt Safe, which was everything!
We arrived as strangers and departed as family.
We miss you already Uncle Joe, until next time! Take Care ✨ 🌕 ✨

This spot at Lazy River is awesome. The river was perfect for staying cool and Joe, the host was friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Moon Child has plenty of shade compared to some of the other spots and is the closest to the bathroom but not annoyingly close.

Our recent camping trip to Lazy River Camping was an absolute delight, thanks in no small part to our exceptional host, Joe. With a group of 18 spread across three sites—Gypsy Soul and two beach sites—Joe’s hospitality truly stood out.
The proximity to the river was fantastic for quick, spontaneous dips. Joe went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing firewood, installing a new fire pit/grill on our site, and even offering to run errands. We were able to pick fresh blueberries and apples, and he generously let us use his tube floats for river fun. Joe's friendly conversations and warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.
The convenience of nearby stores (Walmart and Safeway just 8 minutes away, Costco 16 minutes away) was a huge plus. While the campground lacks showers, the local gym and pool just 8 minutes away offered a great solution for a hot shower.
If your budget allows, I'd recommend booking 2 sites per family, one forest site and a beach site so you can have a day hang area vs. an evening area. I enjoyed the shade when it was hot and we spent days by the beach under our 13x13 canopy.
Overall, the experience was amazing, and we’re already planning to make this an annual trip. A huge thank you to Joe for making our stay so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Thank you Joe for a wonderful weekend. I loved this private campsite in the woods, as well as hanging out on the river. I also appreciated all the extra care from Joe, including helping us out with bug spray when we forgot ours. Hope to come back soon!

My husband and I had a wonderful time camping at Wildflower. Joe was a gracious and super friendly host. Offering to bring us anything that we may have forgotten or needed a refill of during our weekend there. Best part was sitting in the lazy river on a hot day. Pure relaxation! Campsite was super clean and private. The Wildflower site is incredibly spacious and perfect for a large group. Bathrooms were nearby and very clean also. Can't recommend this camping experience enough! We will definitely be back!

Just like last year.. we had a blast this year also. Kids had so much fun in the river with kids friendly natural rapids in tubes.
As usual, owner Joe was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back again here. Thanks Joe for keeping the place very neat and clean.

My boyfriend and I LOVED our stay! The site was filled with many second and third timer families and solo travelers. Very dog friendly- lots of pups to say hi to! The river wasn’t quite deep enough to tube down but there were a few good spots farther down. Joe was hands down the best host EVER! He has a heart of gold and goes out of his way to make sure everyone is a happy camper :) 10/10 would come back again.

Our second trip to Joe's place, first time in the dispersed area. Loved it just as much as the regular camping spots! Being right on the river was lovely and peaceful. Joe is still the nicest human I have ever met! We will be back for sure ❤️

My boyfriend, pupper, and I had a great time camping here this week! We lucked out and got the whole place to ourselves!
Joe was an amazing host and so welcoming and helpful. When we needed more wood and water or realized we forgot to pack a lighter he was ready and willing to help. He even offered to go get us coffee in the morning! You can tell he loves what he does and it makes for a great experience.
We saw a bunch of wildlife too! Several momma deer and their babies wondered by close to the camp. We saw ducks and herons on the river and an eagle flew by as well!
We will definitely be planning another trip with more friends and family! It's so close to the city but far enough to feel like you're in the middle of the woods. Can't get much more relaxing than that :)

The Lazy Rover Camping grounds are absolutely beautiful! The camp sites are fairly private from the campers next to you. The river is nice, when we went it had a nice gentle flow and was waist deep at the deepest spot, I have young kids and wasn't worried about the current in the river sweeping them off at all. Joe is an amazing host. Very welcoming and willing to help you get any supplies you might need or run out of. We booked on a rare week that he wasn't maxed out and he even offered to let us swap to a larger campsite when the family arrived since it was a slow week. There are little firepits at the campsites and both the portapotty and the river are just short distance from the campsites and the grouds were clean. We rented a dog kennel and as promised it was set up when we arrived and very sturdy! Unless you have a magical horse dog his kennels are going to keep your fur babies secure and safe while you grill your goodies. I highly recommend this campsite! We will be returning soon!

We had an amazing time at Joe’s property! The river spots were beautiful and we had a great time relaxing by/in the water. We ended up booking two beach sites for our larger group and loved that we were able to set up both sites directly next to each other. Joe was very responsive and helpful as we planned for our trip, and made sure we had everything we needed once we were there. It definitely gets hot in the summer (as there doesn’t seem to be much shade coverage with the river sites), so we’d definitely recommend bringing canopy shades and umbrellas. We would love to come back!

Although we didn't actually get to make our camping trip (that was on us) Joe went above and beyond and tried to help us make it work. Joe also refunded us for the site even though we were past the cut off. I would absolutely recommend and we will be booking again!

Beautiful spots right on the river! I highly recommend any of the beach spots or Imagine if you want to be on the river. It is very serene. Some of the sites not on the river are a little less private but can still make a nice camp and the beach is right there. All the people were very nice and respectful of each other. Surprising as there were quite a few groups but it was quiet at night. Joe is probably the best host ever! He is so friendly, funny, chatty and helpful! I looked forward to running into him. And we got to pick some blueberries on our way out! I'll definitely go back!

The property was beautiful. This site was nicely shaded but very close to the river. Joe was very accommodating. Also, very close to the lake, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Joe recommended Francisco's, and it was delicious! I would definitely stay again!

We loved tent camping at Gypsy Soul! The spot was easy to find, peaceful and loved floating on the river during the day. Joe was also the best! He had access to anything we might have needed and was so friendly to chat with! Will definitely be returning!
