Hoh River Campsites

I was fortunate to have the place to myself. What a beautiful area! Very clean and tidy. Plenty of trails to explore. And the river was just a few minutes walk. I would definitely stay here again. Had a great time exploring the area.

Amazing first Hipcamp Experince

This was our first Hipcamp experience and we may well have been at one of, if not the best, Hipcamps. Our site, number-4, was amazing in so many ways; well maintained, finely crushed gravel and level for our 21 foot trailer, large fire pit and picnic table, and the bathroom (sani-can) was pristine! The natural environment around our camp site and the entire area was a birder's paradise. Highly recommend the "Maple Tree" hike. It's awe inspiring and created a sense of enchantment to our visit. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. It was very quiet, but with the spacing of each site, we imagine it would be just as quiet if full. Our hosts, Maggie and Dan, were great, checking in with us upon our arrival. We'll be back and highly recommend Hoh River Campsites!

Absolutely Amazing!

Site 2 - TENT or SMALL TRAILER

Wow is all I can say! Absolutely blew our expectations out of the water. The entire campground including our site was meticulously taken care of. Including ourselves, there was only two occupied campsites out of seven. But we could tell even if the camp was full there was a nice level of privacy. The private pit toilet on site 1 was clean and there was even a private beautiful little trail right behind it. On day two we drove down to the river bank and ended up with it all to ourselves for the day. We definitely plan to visit again, thanks for an incredible weekend!

Scenic River Camping!

Site 2 - TENT or SMALL TRAILER

Site 2 is a great spot! It is fairly private with an "overlook" area that is very private! The outhouse near site 2 was well maintained and very clean. Site 2 could definitely fit 2 vehicles if needed or a good number of tents. There is great cell service on T mobile so if you want to work from the woods, it's great! Site 2 is about a 5 minute walk from the river and it's a nice walk through nature to get there. We have an awd SUV, but didn't attempt to drive it to the river. Probably not suitable for a low clearance or front wheel drive car, but certainly a truck or similar. We bought firewood with our booking and it was a good sized bundle for the price that was waiting at our site the day we checked in. Highly recommend!

The campsites are all spaced nicely apart for privacy. They are very well kept. I’d say the best you’ll ever find. Hosts are amazing communicators. There are no negatives to this site. We stay here a few times a year.

Peaceful weekend on the Hoh

This place is magical. We happened to be here when only two other sites were booked and it was so peaceful. The sites are well spaced out and we loved being in site 1. Short walk to the river, immaculate and cute pit toilet and gorgeous trail right off the site. The entire place from the moment you drive in is so beautiful. We can’t wait to come back in summer and fall. The hosts were responsive when we arrived and provided great info on the grounds and access to the river. They offered help for anything we may need while staying and had firewood for sale. Site would be great for a group but we were so happy to have it for ourselves!

Olympic Peninsula Gem

This is a great site within a lovely campground. The campground layout is very thoughtful overall, with care taken to maintain privacy between the campsites. This site is particularly private. I was there 3 nights and the only sense I had of the other campers was when I saw them coming and going. Small landscaping touches add a sense of welcome to each site and the campground is meticulously maintained. It’s an easy walk to the Hoh River, and close enough to the beaches that you can hear the sound of the ocean in the distance. If you’re looking for a coastal camping experience that avoids the crowds and offers its own unique access to the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula, this may be your spot! It’s a new favorite and I hope to be back before long.

Site 5 - Hoh River Campsites

Huge sites, with plenty of space between you and the next camper. Each site was well marked and tidy/mowed/trimmed. The host was very communicative and flexible, and it was nice to have the river so close by for wading and a scenic morning walk. The little trail around the big maple tree was also cute. We had a great stay!

We camped at site 5 and it was great. Very easy to get to, within 15 minutes of Ruby beach, river was great to take a dip in after a day of exploring Olympic NP. Porta potties were super clean! Would definitely recommend if you're visiting Olympic.

Another great camping weekend with our group of friends at the Maple Creek Outfitters land. We enjoyed our time by the river and Maggie’s recommendation to hike the Commissioners trail with our dogs. Hope to be back again next summer.

Camping on the iron man’s land

This property was so beautiful we stayed at site 7 and it felt like it was probably the most private out of all the sites. We loved that even though we were the farthest site from the river it was only a 10 minute walk away. Saw many elk and wildlife the history of the property itself I thought was really cool. It’s a fantastic place to stay if you want to see anything sol duc / Hoh rainforest / lake crescent / incredible beaches all slightly over an hour or under an hour away, with forks only 30 min away in case you need gas or extra food whatever. The porta potty was super well kept and very clean!! Loved that we could have a fire and it was a magical stay!

This place was awesome. Stayed in site 1, it was giant! We had 2 cars, van, 5th wheel. I don’t know where to start. The location was amazing, easy access to the Hoh, Forks and the beaches. Everything on the property was pristine with lot’s of trails to wander and walk our dogs. Outhouse was better than any forest service pit toilet. Pre purchased firewood was large, very dry and ready to go. We saw elk, deer, grouse, eagles, humming birds, rabbits and a cornucopia of slugs. Bugs were at a minimum. Our neighbors saw a bear at the river but we didn’t. Spaces are far enough apart for total privacy other than the occasional generator noise. Such a find, would love to go again!

Beautiful and private

Maple Creek Outfitters campsites are amazing. They are private, spacious. clean and beautiful. Maggie was very responsive to all our inquiries and brought us firewood pronto when requested. We camped in a self-contained RV in campsite 4, so for us, the lack of access to potable water wasn’t an issue. The location is close to beaches and not far from the Hoh Rainforest Visitor Center. If in the area again, we won’t bother to book anywhere else but here. Highly recommend!

Site 6 - Hoh River Campsites

Second time staying here and won’t be the last! Love this place- it’s so peaceful. Site 7 is nice and private, as well as mostly shaded. Check out the meadow trail and definitely go dip your feet in the river!

This is an incredible property! You get a huge, private site with your own access to the Hoh River, which is amazing. It's the perfect spot to start from if you want to explore the Olympic National Park. The hosts are great and really take care of the land. This is exactly what Hipcamp is all about, a true 10/10 experience!

Site 5 - Hoh River Campsites

Love love loved!! Camp is gorgeous, well marked/easy to find, clean, gorgeously maintained. Cannot say enough how tranquil and like living in Fern Gully it was! Maybe 5-7mins walk to the river (we were site 7 the furthest away and definitely had a mosey style walk going) and it took our breath away. You can have fires down there too! We made breakfast on our last morning and didn’t want to leave! We will be staying again and again and again! Directions and extra instructions/info sent 2 days prior to check in answered every question we could have had. The owner, Maggie, was super responsive and we got to say hi while she dropped off more firewood-she is amazing!

Great Campground! Highly Recommend

My family and I had a wonderful time camping here! The location was perfect for exploring the Hoh Rainforest and Ruby Beach areas, and the campground itself was fabulous with direct river access from the property. Our site was quiet, clean, and spacious, and we loved that firewood delivery was available. Maple Creek Outfitter’s was a terrific host—very accommodating, attentive, and welcoming. We’d gladly stay here again!

Lots of space per campsite, very quiet. It’s dry but the porta potties were readily available and clean. Camp host was friendly, helpful, responsive! And the river access was a big plus. We loved it. We were in site 5 - site 4 is right across the main road, but we barely heard anyone over there. And we had a lot of space. Site 5 has a long, strait, flat drive-up, great for a long RV. We had a camper van, so only took a fraction of the available space. The fire area is slightly up and to the left so lots of privacy there.

Site 6 - Hoh River Campsites

We so enjoyed camping in Site 6. The site was HUGE with space for our pop-up camper, 2 cars, a tent. It was quiet and private, with easy access to the river on the hot afternoons. We would definitely stay here again!

Our group loved site #4 and #5, the two sites are next to each other and there was plenty of space for our 4 large tents, 7 adults and 9 kids. The campsite was clean and spacious. We absolutely loved the river access- what a treat! We will be back!

This is a very well maintained and beautiful camp with good directions and a rapidly responding host. They area is very quiet and campsites are well spaced. The toilets were is very good shape. The river access is private and a short walk from camp. We enjoyed nearby ocean beaches and attempted the Hoh Rainforest trail but there was a long line of cars to get in. We plan on coming back to try again

This place was amazing. The sites are all immaculately manicured and ready to enjoy. Maple Creek Outfitters was super responsive. Dropped off wood right after we asked for it. This was a fantastic place for our family. Close to the Hoh Rain Forest and a dozen other incredible sites, hikes and more. We loved it and couldn’t recommend it more. We will definitely be back.

Great site for visiting Olympic

Great site close to Hoh Rainforest and Ruby Beach. We loved the privacy of the site, the green grass for our dog, wish we had more time there. Felt very safe. We had room to play frisbee and badminton on our site with just one neighbor we could see, but not hear.
