Welcome to the HELD NATURE SANCTUARY. We have intentionally created a sanctuary in nature for you to release your troubles. We are here to HOLD you....so you can fully receive. We know the power of nature, rest and nourishment for body mind and spirit and the need for community, connection and tending throughout the journey of life which at times can be quite painful and also quite joyful. We are here for it all! We welcome you to stay and enjoy our services - homegrown breakfast, sound bath with gong and crystal bowls, and flower essence therapy in the Heartsong Yurt. We have tended this land with love and want to share our creations and spaces with you - we have outdoor spots where you can enjoy the gardens vegetable and flower, old growth hemlock, old growth Doug fir, breathtaking views of the gorge and one of the locations of native vision questing spots - Wind Mountain. We exist for the ones who may be hurting and in need of support, the ones who want to celebrate community and connection, the ones who want to get away from the noise and just BE HELD IN NATURE. Please read more about the listing and our others. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Unfortunately, we do not allow children or pets in our quirky rentals. We are just down the road from the Carson Hot Springs - great for soaking after your adventures in nearby towns or the woods full of waterfalls and foraging! 🍄 Backwoods brewing is just down the road! Centrally located in the Columbia River Gorge Scenic area, it's an easy shot from Portland (50 min) with quick access to Hood River, Mt Hood; Gifford Pinchot NF. Experience all the outdoor activities the gorge has to offer right from your doorstep. The property: 3 acres overlooking the Columbia River Gorge and Columbia river with meadows large garden, blueberry bushes, fruit trees, walking trails, large lawn for yard games or sunbathing with sitting areas around the property. All the views of the gorge are here all the time! The property is situated in a quiet woodsy environment yet with all the amenities you need within walking distance including; gym, grocery store, Backwoods restaurant/brewery, hardware store, dispensary, coffee shop, as well as St Martin hot springs! We live and work on the property and are happy to show you around or give you space! REST, REJUVENATE, RECEIVE Come as you are. You will be held. 🤍

    A beautiful cabin with the essentials. Incredible views of the gorge from loft. The location is a perfect mix of secluded and close to restaurants in Carson and Hood River. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

    The hosts were kind and prompt communicators. The site is beautiful, located on a small farm with the cutest chickens. The shack has amenities for a comfortable stay.

    Held Nature Sanctuary - Rest RV
    Wonderful peaceful place to stay in Carson. The host Meg and Dana were very caring and accommodating. They had all the comforts of home nestled in the beautiful mountain surroundings. The garden and chickens were a big bonus. The Yurt was especially sweet. The claw foot tub was also fantastic. Thanks for everything. We will definitely be back.

    A beautiful piece of property and a cozy little cabin with Great views facing the Columbia river. Meg was very nice, let us pick some vegetables from her garden and made us a tasty breakfast in the morning.
