Worth the squeeze

Great spot right next to the trails. The access is long and narrow but when you’re all set up it’s nice and private. Make sure to get to the spot with plenty of daylight and take your time getting in. Good space for dogs and quiet day and night. Host is very accommodating.

Bad. Really long, narrow and steep back in with no real level spot. This should only be for vans or very small campers. I could not get level.

My husband and I loved this spot. It’s quiet and so close to Galbraith trails & Whatcom Falls park. It’s also close to amenities like Whole Foods, coffee, etc. While we camped we saw a family of deer, squirrels, and the hosts chickens & ducks. We will definitely be coming back.

Thanks so much for the peaceful stay! Maybe a half a block from the north entrance trailhead of Galbraith. Amazing location if you’re here to ride and hike. The space is a grass driveway on the side of the home. I backed my Ford E350 Quigley van no problem, no scratches and didn’t encounter any thorns. Super quiet area, Andrew was really nice and happy to chat about rides :) I do recommend! Thanks so much Andrew!

Cool spot to stay that feels like you’re more remote but actually in the city. Wi-Fi isn’t great from the camp spot but host is very gracious in letting you use the backyard. I’d stay again!

Steep road to back down, bushes had long branches that scratched van, uneven ground at the bottom, got a sticker in my foot.

This was the perfect spot for our weekend in Bellingham. We enjoyed the garden, and birds. The spot was privatr, very quiet and in a lovely neighbourhood with friendly people. The host was very responsive and welcoming.

First the good - if you ride mountain bikes and need a place to stay near Galbraith it’s super convenient.
The bad - backing down the long downhill sloped driveway isn’t to tricky except the thorn bushes that scrap against your vehicle.
In fact, there are thorn bushes all over the camp site that makes it difficult to avoid.
The spacing of the lot is small already I could barely park my car on the mostly level area and again I had to step around thorn bushes.
As others have noted I had a large family randomly walk back and fourth through my camp.
The camp site feels less like a campsite and more like a green belt on the back side of someone’s property.
Over all if you need a place to stay near Galbraith is great. If they trimmed back all the thorn bushes I would consider / recommend staying there again.

Right next to the North Galbraith trails. Manages to stay pretty private for camping in a neighborhood. Sloping driveway that is a single lane, so teardrop was great but may have trouble leveling a bigger camper. Patio access was really nice.

The place was fine and somewhere to sleep for the night. The cell phone # provided by Andrew was “out of service” and I never got a response to 2 messages I sent through the app. Not sure I would recommend but the camp spot was fine.

A nice and easy stay. Cannot walk to downtown, but plenty close with a car! Definitely will need to bring supplies to level your rig, but he does provide an array of blocks. Probably not ideal for a tent unless small.

Good little spot at end of driveway of main house, with access to a nice patio with sink, grill, and fire pit. Parking spot isn't all that big, but a car/suv/van fits well. Close access to Whatcom falls Park, and bike trails, would recommend a 1 night stay at Andrew's place!

It was a tight fit getting our trailer down the driveway. Once we were set up, it was secluded and quiet and very close to Bellingham and Galbraith mountain. Andrew was a gracious and helpful allowing us a late departure so we could spend more time with our daughter.

Great spot and perfect for me, as I was visiting friends in Bellingham. It’s a little tricky backing a travel trailer down the driveway, but mission accomplished! I’d stay again, and most likely will when I visit Bellingham again. Thank you for the hospitality!

Pretty ideal location for a weekend riding Galbraith! Andrew was really friendly and easy to work with, the garden and firepit made for a wonderful evening, and the access to trails can't be beat. Riding downtown and to Lake Whatcom for other outings was really easy as well. As other reviews mention, folks pop in on the trail that goes through the camp area sometimes (saw two people over the weekend) so perfect privacy should not be expected, but the serene little corner is superb otherwise.

This is a great location if you are a mtb er or trail runner! However we felt there was very little privacy. You essentially are camping in a driveway that is difficult to level. The neighbours kids (they are nice kids) passed through 4 times on their way to and from the trails. The bbq and sitting area in photos are their backyard and we were invited to use them but just didn’t feel comfortable doing so. Host are great and we felt welcome … we just prefer a little more privacy.

Beautiful location and fine hosts. The nearby trail system is great. The approach is around a 100 ft and pretty steep. I had to put my truck in 4 wheel drive to back out after a rain. I think I found the most level spot for our trailer but had to fully extend the back stabilizer and lower the tongue to level it.
