Immerse yourself in the serenity of nature on Frog's Leap Lane.Enjoy this spacious, private retreat tucked into the trees. The most preferable tent site in my opinion is the NE corner of the property, where the ground is flattest. The NE corner is the highest point of the property, so while you're tucked into the trees, it also opens up to and looks out over the large grassy meadow/field where guests have access to communal camp chairs and a fire pit, and space to frolic :) Just south of the field is a communal 'kitchen' space to prepare food and/or store it secured in airtight containers. West of the field is a narrow trail leading to the magical mossy knoll where you will find gorgeous Madrona trees and the best light at sunset. Gaze up at the galaxies and infinite stars of the night sky, enjoy the sounds of songbirds like the Swainson's Thrush, the American Robin, the Wilson's Warbler, the Pacific Slope Flycatcher at dawn and dusk, marvel at the Ravens, Turkey Vultures, and Eagles soaring above. Harvest Nettles in early spring, and Salmonberries in early summer! This San Juan Island property on Frog's Leap Lane is a serene place for your mind, body, and soul to (re)connect with nature, yet close enough to town resupply and be social, if desired. Frog's Leap Lane is situated more or less in the center of San Juan Island, so it's just a short drive to access all parts of the island - between 15-25 minutes by car North to Roche Harbor, South to Cattle Point Lighthouse and South Beach, East into Friday Harbor town, or West to Lime Kiln Lighthouse and the West Side. Rustic Peaceful Oasis

Courtney’s land is a rustic, peaceful oasis conveniently located near town yet feels tucked away in the middle of nature. We had our boat hauled out at Jensens on San Juan to do some routine bottom paint and maintenance. It was wonderful to have an affordable accommodation to camp at with our pup while we were on this island. Courtney was helpful and kind allowing us to extend our stay as our job took longer than anticipated. We will definitely stay here again the next time we haul our boat out or camp on San Juan. Thank you Courtney for sharing this space with us.

While the camp ground offered a secluded plot of land to camp on, we had a difficult time getting to the camp ground in our sprinter van (10 ft tall). There were some bigger branches hanging down that scraped the exterior. We did spend some time breaking some of the branches to get them out of our way but we did not have equipment to cut some of the thicker branches. This resulted in a lot of unnecessary stress and some damage. I wish the description was clearer that this is not a good option for campers and vans. I think if you are tent camping in a regular sized 4WD/AWD car it’s a good little spot.

This one is deep! If you’re looking to leave the world behind and feel miles away from anybody, this is the spot. We were very happy with our two night stay, and would come again!

We loved this spot because it's super private and beautiful. Courtney's descriptions on how to get there were perfect. What a nice, hidden gem on San Juan Island! We hope to be back again soon!

Our stay at Frog’s Leap Lane went above and beyond our expectations. My fiancé and I have stayed at many different hipcamps, and this was one of our favorites. It was quiet, cozy, and full of beautiful nature. We took a short walk down a trail and were amazed by all the natural growing flowers and plants. Even though it was secluded, it is only a short and extremely easy drive to all the shops in Friday Harbor, the ferry, and Roche Harbor. 10/10 would recommend staying here!!

The name fits the spot well, it truly is tucked away in the trees in a beautiful, cozy corner. There’s plenty of space to tent camp or car camp and there was even a fire pit with chopped wood and everything! I enjoyed my stay here and would book again in a heartbeat.
