August 2026 awarded *Star Host* by HipCamp. We are happy to host dry camping on our 2.5-acre property on the north end of Whidbey Island. We have a mostly level site that can accommodate a variety of recreational vehicles up to 30 feet long. The campsite is tucked into the upper part of the property, offering semi-privacy from the house and driveway. Once you're set up, you'll be able to see our home from your camper. However, trees provide a natural privacy screen between the campsite and the house (see the photos showing the view from our home and the view from the campsite toward the house). Car Campers Wecome!! For group camping the site can accomodate 2 sprinter vans or any combination of travel trailer / tent / class B or C . Any additional camping beyond first guest accomodation requires a $15 additional charge. To add the fee for an additional vehicle go to "Extras" and select "rental" and "additional vehicle". Whidbey Island is a popular destination with endless opportunities for day trips, sightseeing, and outdoor adventures. This location is just 15 minutes from Deception Pass State Park and downtown Oak Harbor, 30 minutes from Coupeville and the Port Townsend ferry (gateway to Olympic National Park), and within easy drive of many of Whidbey Island's top attractions. Also for those heading to the San Juan Islands, just 35 min from Anacortes Ferry Dock and about 1 1/2 hours from the Canadian - US border crossing at Blaine, WA. Whether you're visiting Whidbey Island or passing through on your travels around the Pacific Northwest our campsite offers the perfect place to stay. We offer a quiet and safe space for you to set up camp. We're happy to help you plan excursions or recommend local attractions, and we look forward to hosting you!This is the only location available to camp on and is dry camping only. This area is at the top portion of our landscapped yard on 2.5 acres. The site is 40' long and 35' wide We are happy to offer water if you need to fill your tank. The site is fairly level front to back, however, you will need to go up on 1 block on the passenger side to level side to side. . At this time we do not offer any amenities but will look into a picnic table if guests request one and anything else that might make a guest more comfortable. We do not authorize any fires on the propery.

This was a great hip camp! I have two big dogs, and I was able to tether them outside of my van and they enjoyed relaxing in the sun with no other campers around. It was quiet and peacefully, dark. Just the way I like it. Thank you for creating a safe and lovely space! If I am in the area, I will definitely stay here again😀

Ella was very communicative and helpful. Instructions were clear and easy to follow and the location was very quiet and peaceful. It was enjoyable watching the night skies and waking up to the rabbits. Would definitely be back again

We absolutely loved our stay at Ella’s place in Oak Harbor. It was exquisitely quiet, with great sun exposure for our solar, and the location was perfect for exploring all of Whidbey Island. The site felt peaceful and tucked away, and Ella has planted trees and other greenery to create a privacy screen between the campsite and the home. It’s already lovely, and we expect it will be even more private as everything fills in. This was a gem of a Hipcamp stay, and we plan to return. We’ll also be featuring our stay in an upcoming video on @RVingWithJoe on YouTube so watchout for that video published late Aug 2025!

Ella’s place was wonderful! Very peaceful and a great place to rest for the night. It was easy to find, and Ella was very responsive and helpful. It’s also a great spot if you are either heading to Whidbey or the San Juan Islands!

What a great spot! Ella the host is super friendly and helpful, the wildlife around the site was abundant and adorable, plenty of space, very cozy. Highly recommend!
