The site was nice and quiet. Host was responsive and accommodating. Water and power worked great. The sewage pipe was difficult to make work, tried few times and could not use with confidence. Otherwise, fantastic site.

Deer Park Mountain View RV Campsite
As described and met our needs. We are close enough to many hiking trails - loved the backyard trail for a quick dog walk. The neighbors were quiet. Even the dogs mentioned in previous reviews were scarce - only saw one and it kept its distance. We did not get to meet Susan, but did meet many deer and the chickens.
The only cons (and these are mentioned in the description) are the hook ups are on the oppsote side. A 25 ft water hose, 25 ft electric (50amp connection) and 30ft sewer connection worked. The sewer connection sits high making it difficult to manage easily. It may be more convenient to pay and use a station I.E. state park. Our stay was a short three days, it would not be an inconvenience to dump elsewhere. Actually would have been easier to do so.
We would definitely stay here again. We had a lovely time.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us. We loved how close it was to town and Hurricane Ridge. The full hookups are great. If you are like us and Hipcamp because you have a reactive dog this may not be the best place for you. The owner lets their dogs run loose and they were on our site multiple times per day.

Susan's property was very nice and quiet. About 10 minutes out of town and a pretty level lot. Nice woodchip walking path to enjoy as well. I would definitely stay here again. Full hookups are awesome and loved the location for our weekend trip to the boat races.

This was a great place to stay, close to everything in Port Angeles and to Olympic National Park (Hurricane Ridge side). It has a nice little trail on the property to walk your dogs. The hookups are on the wrong side for backing in, but we have a 28' rig so we were able to pull in, unhook and then still move the truck out. I will say the the sewer hookup is a real issue if you are thinking you will hookup to sewer and leave it. (The owner does explain this in the description). It won't work. When we got ready to empty our tanks we had to stand there and keep moving the hoses up and down so that the contents would empty since the sewer pipe is sticking up above the ground so far. Certainly not ideal, but it can be done.
The chicken coup is right next to the spot, but no roosters so that wasn't an issue. We did see several deer which was nice. We would stay there again.

Amazing site, super private, very clean and easy to find. The property is quiet and beautiful. We even saw deer on our first morning. We would absolutely recommend this site to anyone. As we will be planning another trip ourselves to stay here again in the future.

Not as private as I thought. Also, odd interaction with the owner. She came rushing into our space in the morning while we were packing up and made us very uncomfortable. Got our dogs all defensive and felt weird that she came up close to our camper without any invite or interaction that warranted coming that close.

Beautiful and quiet campground. You really are surrounded by deer at times but particularly in the morning. Can see a lovely sunset over the mountains from the little chip wood path.

This was our first time using a Hipcamp spot, so wasn’t sure what to expect. My husband is saying this was the best spot we’ve had so far this trip, and we have had many many spots. Quiet, comfortable and somewhat secluded surroundings are what you can expect at this site. Friendly dear are sure to visit your camp daily. Well located to everything, at least as close as you can be when it comes to getting anywhere in Olympic national Park

Serene and quiet with a good view of the mountains. Enjoyed the deer coming right up to our camper van at twilight, and the chickens near the site. Instructions were clear and helpful. RV hookups were available, though we didn't use them.

Susan was quite accommodating yet not at all invasive. The site was quiet and provided easy access to town. Water and sewer were fine. Did not use electricity. The deer at sunset were a treat.

Beautiful site in Deer park area. Plenty of space, peace and quiet. Loved the spacious green space in front of the site.
Good enough proximity to all the Port Angeles amenities but the best part of this site is retreating off the beaten path.

July 4, 2024- Obviously it was nice being the only trailer there. The Good first: Susan responded very quickly to any questions, it was mostly quiet, we had good water pressure, we were about 10 or 15 minutes from Port Angeles, and oddly enough there was a movie theater really close by, we had ample space, it was fairly private, there were full hook ups, and there was a rock fire pit. The not so good: we had our very shy rescue dog with us, and the neighbors were allowing their dogs to just roam around, which meant we had to constantly keep an eye out and keep their dogs away from our shy dog. The grassy area had a ton of weeds and there were very pokey Thistle type plants all over the place, so you certainly couldn't go barefoot. The back portion of the property was extremely overgrown with 3 foot high grass and weeds. This made it difficult to find the barked path. The description said that at the top of the path there was a 360° panoramic view of something, we saw nothing. And to repeat all the other reviews, the waste pipe set up is awkward to say the least. Trying to empty the tanks on a trailer is definitely a two person job and even then it is a challenge. I would consider going back again under the right circumstances.

We had a great time camping at the Deer Park retreat! It was spacious, quiet and peaceful. Such a beautiful property. We enjoyed the trail and viewing the wildlife. The spot was nice and level and well kept and in close proximity to many of the main attractions of Port Angeles. The angle of the sewer hookup was alittle bit funky but we had no problem flushing our tanks down before we heading home.

If you are towing your RV, like a trailer or 5th wheel this is not the spot if you want full hook ups. Services are on the wrong side and running hoses and electrical cords underneath and over the walking area resulted in tripping hazards. We didn't feel it was a good value for us. We managed to empty the tanks to the septic by hooking up our tiny 17 foot trailer and pulling into the site. It took 2 people to work the hose, so if you are a solo traveler this will not work for you. Perhaps the host should list that you need a screw in straight connector to mate with their very tall sewer line. It was a mostly quiet and natural setting. The wet grass was high obscuring the offered walking trail. Directions were accurate and we would advise that visitors drive slowly after the motocross course to catch the turn on the first try. You are the only rv spot among some houses.

This site was perfect! Great location, just a short drive to Olympic National Park. We loved seeing several deer every day and we loved using the fire pit. Would definitely stay here again!
