Great place and view. Enjoyed the hiking trail. Outdoor hot shower by the host's area. Main road can be quite busy.

I love this place so much. Cat is such a lovely, welcoming host. Her land is so private, quiet and beautiful! We saw every star in the sky, found some awesome rocks, and we are dreaming about when we get to come back again.

This was my first HipCamp experience ever & what a knockout! I saw evidence of people at the top of the hill, but did not see another human during my stay, which was great! Cat was very responsive to messages, and let me move to the site nearer the toilet that had a picnic table. I wandered the forest roads a bit, collecting a few agates, then had a very restful night among the scrub oak and pines. It's not far from the highway, but feels very remote & has beautiful mountain vistas. Thank you!

This location was very quiet and peaceful. 17 minutes from the Goldendale Observatory. The gravel road was beautifully groomed! It was very easy to drive. Thanks for letting us crash at the ravens roost!

This is a little slice of heaven! Private, wide open sky to see all of the stars, beautiful rocks everywhere. Camped here last weekend and this weekend and will definitely be back!

The site was fine! Location was good for what we wanted. Lots of good hiking trails and the nearby observatory is cool!
We’re campers who appreciate good facilities. The porta potty, and it’s my fault for looking in, was filled with maggots and the shower wasn’t very private. It was inches from a camper and the sides had gaps in the slats. I guess it’s more for just rinsing off. We used the bathroom and showers at the nearby state park instead.

A beautiful piece of property with great amenities, I used the outdoor shower for a sunrise cleanse. The rock hounding was incredible and so easy to find. I was super grateful to have a place to roll into late at night then leave first thing in the morning. I wished I ha more time. Coming from Yakima, I also highly recommend Taqueria Noa Noa for late night delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Homemade flour quesadilllas! Chef’s kiss all the way around for a wonderful night!!

Relatively isolated and minimalist campsite. A bit exposed if windy, but very private and quiet. If that's what you're looking for, it's a good value in the Goldendale area as there are not many camping options on the Yakima reservation. Host was responsive, although I struggled to respond with low cell coverage at the campsite (T-Mobile). Cell coverage better at top of hill.

Great private spot, easy to find with the directions given. Responsive hosts. The area was beautiful and great for stargazing. We camped in our car and had no issues. Picnic table was very nice to have. The area had cool red rocks everywhere that were very pretty. We went to the observatory for the night sky show and came back late with ease.

It was a perfect retreat , no one else but me !! It was a wonderful place to let go and get grounded. I took a short stroll , there are so many beautiful yellow and red rocks, all naturally hanging out in the forest. I highly recommend.

Isolated in the forest. Really interesting forest, mix of small oaks and large pines. Interesting geology with layers of river rocks and agates. Western Tanager at our campsite.
Well graded unpaved road. Poetry Lane has a portapotty and picnic table, but is on a slight slant; better for tenting on the prepared pad or bring the chock blocks. Ravens Roost, up the road not 30 yards, is very flat, better for our poptop van camper; short trip to the portapotty (next time).
Cat is solicitous and friendly, obviously loves the land and is happy to see you.

We love this chunk of earth! We will continue to come back. It’s quiet, private and absolutely beautiful! Cat is wonderful and the hosts are make this property better each time we return. They are so incredibly kind! If you like rocks and wildlife, definitely make a stop! The town of Goldendale is close enough to pop down and have a meal as well. Again, I can’t recommend her property enough!

We loved the remote location in an expansive pine & shrub oak forest with incredible night skies and awesome vistas of Mount Hood and Mount Baker. Cathalina was very friendly and helpful. Not for anyone pulling a big trailer or poor clearance,

We really enjoyed Cat’s camp site and enchanted high desert forest. It was quiet among the oak trees and fun to visit the observatory. Cat is a very friendly and generous host, and a great communicator. We were happy we brought a shade tarp, and had fun hunting for agates.

We booked a last-minute stay at the Serenity campsite. Cathalina was great with communication and gave good directions. We got in late and left early so can't comment on the rest of the property, but it was beautiful!
The campsite itself was good, the tent area was a bit small for our 4-person tent but we managed. Portajohn was a bit far and it would have been nice to have a picnic table, but we knew ahead of time there wasn't one.

It was a wonderful stay close to Goldendale for the Oregonian Trail Rally. We were able to work our shifts and come back to peace and quiet after the noise and bustle of the rally. Cat went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and our life easier with our long hours of shifts. Thank you so much Cat for all your help and allowing us to use your indoor stove. We will be back.

We stayed at the Serenity Hill campsite, and the name perfectly describes the ambiance conducive to a great night's sleep under a million stars. For daytime activities there was plenty of hiking and rock collecting straight from your door on this beautiful piece of property. Finally, Cat was a great communicator and an extremely hospitable host. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay on Cat’s Serenity Hill, surrounded by whispering trees and chirping birds. And in the distance, Mount Hood. We had seen a presentation at the Goldendale Observatory, and when we parked for the night, our sky was filled with stars. Easy to get to, easy to find, all around an enjoyable stay. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

The land is mostly on a low grade hill but there was a leveled sand pit for a tent. The outhouse was convenient and water was easily accessible and refreshing. The hostess was very accommodating and answered questions quickly. I would stay again.

Absolutely stunning views, easy to get to, great directions from Cathalina. Lots of wild life. Wild turkeys, lizards, frogs, crickets. Beautiful view of Mt. St. Helens. Tons of stars. Golden Dale is only 15 minutes away. Absolutely check out Bake my day Cafe. Friendly, great food and coffee.

The area is really nice but the sites and the access road need attention. The road is washing out, there isn't enough flat ground, if you're not careful there is real danger of getting stuck in the mud when it's wet.
