Labor Day weekend- 15 min walk to b
The campsite’s pretty decent with flat, spacious grassy lots that are great for rooftop tents. It’s a shared area that seems to have four to eight spots, but the numbering is confusing since they repeat on both sides. The bathrooms are by the tower and kept clean, though I’m not a fan of the location. Just a heads up, the grass is full of goatheads, so you definitely need to keep shoes on. It didn't seem to bother any of the dogs, though. Table #1 is super wobbly and doesn't feel safe for more than a couple of people. Every site has a fire pit. The walk to the beach is about 15 minutes through a nice, quiet veteran's area. There’s a golf course across the way, and if you want to drive on the beach, you can enter at the Oysterville approach and head all the way into downtown Long Beach. We spotted some wild black bunnies, a few deer, eagles, and other bird species.
