Ansel and his family have a quaint farm on Whidbey Island. The campsite is pretty rustic, but there is a little gully with a zipline and water available from the tap next to the house. We enjoyed meeting the farm animals, and as previous campers have mentioned you can hear the coyotes at night. Due to a mix up with our stay, we left early and Ansel was super great.

Farm Sanctuary with Mountain Views
We loved our stay at the farm, even with a day filled with rain. It's a great home base to explore the island. Sarah and Ansel were very kind hosts. We are very grateful to have spent a few nights at the carved out site with the cute lil creek, a pond filled with frogs who sing into the night, and cozy tree canopy. Thanks again for having us!

Fist time using HIpcamp and had a great experience! Ansel and his family were the loveliest of hosts and we had a delightfully quiet weekend on the farm, meeting the animals and exploring areas of Whidbey we hadn't visited before. Highliy recommend!

We had such an amazing experience getting to meet all of the animals and stay in such a beautiful place! Ansel was super accommodating, and I cannot recommend this place more!

This is truly one of the best sites I've ever been lucky enough to stay at. From meeting (and petting!) cows, to scratching a goats head, to holding chickens, to a beautiful campsite itself, I would go back here every weekend if I could. Ansel went above and beyond, lending me a lighter when mine died, and giving some great food recommendations.

Classic northwest weather - days of sunshine until we made plans. Never mind, we got to enjoy our own company and our van. The spot was secluded in a large animal paddock. Sad didn't get to enjoy this lovely little farm more but we still enjoyed our stay.

Loved it here. Meeting the friendly hosts and sweet animals. It definitely is a sanctuary! Beautiful and peaceful and all the right farm sounds to settle us down from travel. Owls and coyotes serenaded us at night too. With such a short stay we didn’t expect to get to interact much with the critters but were delighted it worked out. Will definitely stay again.

Ansel and his family (and farm family) were awesome! Quick to respond, plenty of locations to choose from for camp, very relaxing trip overall. Dogs loved having so much space to run around!
