Great location in Vancouver. It was so convenient for visiting with family. The parking spot was very clean and tidy. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

Great quiet spot with full hook-ups. It’s a back-in asphalt spot, but has a large turn around area before it. The hosts left a note with the WiFi password. Great location for getting into town or out into nature.

Ramona's RV site is set at the end of a quiet, private deadend Adriveway. Very safe and pleasant location. Close to town but away from the hustle and bustle. We had deer and rabbits wandering through. The wild blackberries were almost ripe and we ate some even though they were still a little sour! Wonderful to have full hookups. Very nice owners and pleasant people. You can't go wrong.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway! We have family in the area and it was the perfect place to return to in the evenings and enjoy the quiet nights!!! Hopefully we can return again next year!

Full hook-ups with a short drive to site seeing. Although Ramona was very clear in her listing that there was construction noise (which we didn’t have because we were there on a weekend), I didn’t realize that the whole construction site was our view. I can see that some trees have been recently planted to make the space more private both from the owner’s house as well as the new homes that are going up- these will make it nicer once they fill out. Regardless, we would stay again:)

This was a great stay! The host family was very friendly and it was nice to have the trees and green grass. Plus there was a picnic table and trash can. Full hookups worked really well. I recommend staying here!

We stayed with Ramona and Mike for almost two weeks, and they are wonderful hosts in a convenient neighborhood. We were able to scoot around Vancouver and Portland with ease, and had a secure "hideaway" to return to each evening. There were cons though– as Ramona mentions in the listing, there was a lot of construction going on, and sometimes it's right outside your door. They were making a lot of progress and working late into most evenings and some on the weekends as well. Sometimes it was quiet unbearable to have the windows or door open due to the noise and wind blowing dirt around like crazy. We had to thoroughly clean our trailer, but of course this was in no way the host's fault! They were awesome, and even accepted a delivery for us during our stay. Many thanks to them! We'd definitely return in the future if we're in the area again.

Everything as described. It was neat and clean. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. Here’s a few helpful tips. The RV pad is next to their driveway. We have a 28’ Airstream and had no problem turning around in the driveway and backing in. The passenger side of the trailer faces a small farm, the driver side faces the house and the back faces the woods. Hookups are conveniently placed.

Mike and Ramona’s place was the perfect spot to set up camp for these newbie RVers while we explored the Portland area. The RV pad off their driveway is serene and private, but easily accessible with plenty of nearby amenities. They were gracious hosts and provided us with our own garbage and recycling bins, access to their WiFi, and even let us check out late when we learned our next campsite wouldn’t be ready on schedule. As a festive bonus, we enjoyed seeing their Christmas lights out our window.

We didn’t know what to expect being that the site is pretty much in-town. But pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and peaceful Ramona’s place was, located in a wooded area next to a field. Ramona, an excellent host. Answered every question we had quickly and courteously. Great location to many sites. We enjoyed heading up the gorge. Great stay. Perfect amenities as well.

This is a beautiful spot but sadly, the neighborhood is in the process of development. I recommend this spot if you are on your way to a destination, or new to the RV world and learning how your systems work. If you are seeking a quiet, peaceful experience, I don't recommend this location. It's near a local highway (construction trucks, street racers, semis) and a flight pattern for small planes. Too noisy for my taste. I got a kick out of it as it would have been quieter camping in my own driveway!
The spot is immaculate and backs to a beautiful grove of trees. The pad is an extension of the owner's driveway and relatively close to their home. It's angled in a way which it feels somewhat private and the owners were respectful to keep their distance which I appreciated with Covid. That said, I would have loved to meet them in person and have a conversation.
In the description, it mentions "secluded" with farmland on one side and wetlands on the other. I was expecting a far more serene experience but felt like I was in the middle of suburbia. Secluded if you sit on one side of your camper and don't mind looking at the houses across the way and dealing with the noise. I didn't experience any wildlife with the exception of birds but was unable to appreciate them due to the traffic noise.
The owners have planted some trees that will enhance the location and provide some privacy. Unfortunately, I believe a new housing development is going up next to the pad based on the hot pink flags in the middle of the field. If this happens, it will be a bummer for the owners as it will truly take away from this location.
That said, I would stay here again and bring earplugs for sleeping and noise cancelling headphones when sitting outside. This is an ideal location when getting your RV ready for the season to make sure you have everything you need. I took advantage of making notes for next season and doing some cleaning as it was super windy and too cold to be outside. I have had some maintenance issues with my RV and this was a great place to test the new battery knowing I had the option to plug-in if I had issues.
Ramona was excellent at communicating and left a cute welcome rock with information one might need during the stay. As mentioned, this spot was immaculate but definitely not the feel of nature as one might expect from the description.
One suggestion, larger street numbers or a sign indicating Hideaway in the Wetlands. I drove right past the driveway because I coudln't see the numbers. Because it's located off a narrow road, it was challenging to find a safe place to turn around.
All-and-all, this wasn't what I was expecting but I made the best of it. I would return but not for the nature fix as much as having a great place to test your RV and make sure all things are up and running before venturing out to a nature filled campsite.

We were traveling to visit wildlife refuges nearby. We found the site as others described it - a clean and simple pad with amenities in someone's front yard. I suspect there will be a development soon in the nearby pasture as the lot is for sale and small mitigated wetlands are dotted around here and there with cookie cutter houses all around. Having said this.. I would stay again knowing the limitations. We never met the hosts. We were greeted by a note on the table with rules to abide by.

Nice secluded spot near Portland. We were working from our camper and the WiFi and ATT signal was a little weak, but we were able to make it work. Once we were settled in, it was very private and quiet. Highly recommended. Thanks Ramona!

This was our first HipCamp stay and I think it will be a tough one to top. The campsite was in a serene part of town, with plenty of privacy, while also having access to everything you need close by. Clean, quiet, level, with all of the hookups you’d need. Definitely would recommend!
