We found the site somewhat underwhelming for the following reasons:
1. State of the accommodation. It appeared to be less than fresh (needed a good clean, linens were damp, sink was not clean, frequent cobwebs).
2. Location was sub-optimal. The site was a block away from Route 7 down the hill from the crossing of the Appalachian Trail. The noise from trucks applying their exhaust brakes was loud and obnoxious until 2130 (when we left the site)
3. Immediate surroundings. Rather than a wildflower garden, it was more like a weed patch that was poorly maintained with a narrow path mowed from the gate to the tent.
4. Bathroom facilities. The toilet was a pit toilet (as advertised) but was poorly formed. The shower had hot water but the floor was made rough uneven house bricks.
On the positive side, we thought the place had a lot of potential if it was better maintained. The truck brake noises not withstanding there is good tree coverage and the location has a rural charm.
Nobody expects hotel conditions from tent camping, however things should generally be more upmarket for a glamping site, where arguably luxuries are still available, albeit in a rustic setting. This site did not convey a feeling of luxury.

This tent is FAR from glamping! It's a shed in the weeds. Everything we touched was dirty. Hair ball clogging the sink. Roaches in between sheets. The bed was too damp to sit/sleep on. Mold on tenting, cobwebs, a lamp that couldn't stand up. Pathway solar lights that were broken. We arrived at 4:30 and left for home at 8:30. This owner should not be allowed to rent this shabby tent. We want our money back! Cleaning fee??? He must be kidding.

We had such a relaxing and peaceful visit! Robert’s place is highly recommend and I write this with a bit of hesitation because when this gem gets out to the masses we might have trouble booking again! I loved glamping on Robert’s land! I felt like I had my own private nature getaway while still being close to a city with amazing offerings! You can cook and enjoy the land, the chickens, and the fire pit only or split your nights in and out with great restaurants and cafes to check out nearby! Great distance to hikes and water activities.
Would stay here again if I’m ever driving though! Very glad we picked the wildflower farm!

Wildflower farm was perfect for our one night stay in the area. It rained off and on all weekend but we stayed dry and comfortable in the tent (and the rain sounded lovely as we slept). We utilized the shower which was a huge perk - a hot water rinse off after a sweaty muggy day felt wonderful. The tent had full electric set up so we were able to run a fan and charge our phones. Overall a very luxurious camping experience

The Tent was great! We loved reconnecting with nature. The sound of the insects and animals was so peaceful and soothing. Rob was the coolest host and his property is such a cool, cute oasis! We will be returning!

We lived camping in their tent! Very clean, running water, outhouse, and outdoor shower. Owner is very responsive and helpful. The bed was so comfortable and loved the lights hung inside the tent. The covered deck off the tent is amazing! Location was easy to find with given instructions. My partner and I love hiking and checking out breweries, so this was an awesome quick getaway spot. With that being said, we didn't bring coffee making supplies, and there was only a tea kettle provided. So bring your own French press or coffee system. There is running water though which is awesome! I would also suggest bringing your own chairs, especially if there are more than 2 in your party. We would definitely stay here again! Just need to adjust what we bring. Thanks for an awesome stay!

We spontaneously scheduled a trip down here and enjoyed our stay. It rained the whole time but the tent kept the water out very well. The outhouse was very clean and not smelly at all so long as you follow directions. We couldn’t figure out the sink turn on but didn’t have any troubles otherwise and would stay again.

We had a family of four camp here for a night after tubing in Harper's Ferry (30 minutes away). The camp site was great, everything was clean and functioning as expected. The tent was in great condition, bed was comfortable and the shower was a great touch. We were able to fit a 3-person tent on the deck of the on-site tent and it was perfect for our family. The site itself did not have much open space, so it was limited for activities other than sitting around the fire, but exactly what we were looking for.

We loved staying at the tent! It poured while we were there and it only made it more cozy. Would definitely recommend bringing extra blankets with you if it’s supposed to be cold! Also make sure you bring your coffee mugs!

We knew rain and wind were in the forecast so we changed our camping plans at the last minute and Robert was very quick to respond. The site was very clean and had everything that you need from the refrigerator, to the tea kettle, Robert thought of everything! The bed is also very comfortable!

The Tent
The Tent was perfect for a weekend camping trip for my daughter and me. The Tent itself is a great size, clean, and well stocked. The full size mattress was comfy, and it had clean sheets, pillows, and a blanket. The outhouse was clean and had TP. There's a shower that looked awesome but we didn't end up using it. The kitchenette inside the tent has a sink, kettle, cooktop, and even a cooler sized fridge. There's a fire pit that already had wood in it ready to go, and marshmallow roasting sticks ready to go. The AT is maybe 3 minutes away by car, and there are great trails and restaurants within a few minutes drive (or could even walk). Overall a great spot!

This stay was AWESOME! The tent is so cute and has everything you need, the shower is great and immediately has hot water, the outhouse was super clean, the was bed so comfortable, and the kitchen area was pretty well stocked with pans and utensils. Could not recommend enough for a fun getaway!

Very nice accommodations! Nothing unexpected and there were a few bug friends, but the tent does a great job at keeping them out as long as you secure everything properly! A lot of fun activities to do in the area, my personal recommendations are the Raven Rocks hike right up the road (not for the faint of heart- it took us about 4 hours and has many steep inclines/declines) and the Horseshoe curve restaurant/bar- great live music and cheap drinks!

The tent is a lovely, private space with functional amenities that allows for a camping-like feel. Being lulled to sleep each night by the orchestra of critters outside was a nice change of pace. We had a great weekend and looked forward to the cozy anmbiance after a day of hiking/exploring. It’s easy to cook with the utensils, pots and pans, and propane stove provided. The solar shower is HOT and the bathroom is an upgrade from tent camping! There will be bugs, just like camping so be prepared with bug spray! Overall a nice stay and easy enough to get to food, wineries, hikes, and historical site seeing from here.

I had a wonderful weekend at The Tent on Robert’s land! Great location near lots of popular hiking trails and wineries, and the outdoor shower was just amazing. A great “glamping” experience- I hope to be back soon!

Amazing experience! Had the most peaceful time here. Cooked three meals a day every day we were here. The stovetop, electric hot water pot, and cooler was a great addition to space. Rob was very responsive and super friendly! We had a visit from the family dog which was a pleasant surprise! I love love love the setting in nature. It was a memorable stay! Only thing is the grass was a bit high in certain areas and would recommend cutting grass a bit lower to reduce the many bugs and insects who visited us lol. I couldn’t find garbage bags so apologies for leaving a little items behind. All in all amazing stay and would highly recommend!

This is perfect Glamping. The shower is awesome !!! Nothing like a hot shower. The bed is very comfortable with Clean sheets and a comfy mattress topper, such a nice treat.
We used the fan in the evenings to keep the bugs away while we sat on the deck. We didn’t cook as there are plenty of restaurants/breweries/wineries in the area to keep you full. But it looks like everything you need to cook is there, pots,pans,utensils. We did use the kettle to boil water for coffee and we did use the drinking glasses. There is some silverware as well.
Hand soap/dish soap/sponges are provided at the sink in the tent.
Shampoo/soap is in the shower.
Toilet paper is in the outdoor toilet shed.

The Tent's location was perfect for my cycling event in Bluemont. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, and waking up to the birds was bliss. It had the basic comforts of a hotel (including electricity, sheets, and towels) in an outdoor experience that I was craving. Robert was an excellent host answering my questions and providing local recommendations.

The tent was amazing. It poured rain overnight/the next morning so it was very peaceful. It can be challenging getting to/from the compost toilet when raining, so plan accordingly! The shower is not useable when raining as it is not covered, keep this in mind also. No big deal for us, as we only stayed one night.
Parking was a little confusing, as the gate is more of a black/deep navy blue, and there was a truck already parked there when we arrived, and then when we returned later in the evening there were two cars parked in the spaces, along with one on the side of the road next to the parking spot, so a small sign may not be a bad idea.
Basic pots/pans, cups, and utensils were provided, but there are no paper towels/tissues in the tint itself, so also plan accordingly there.
Overall, we would definitely come back and stay again. It was awesome.

Robert was there for us the whole weekend. The pathway to the tent was well lit. The tent had everything you need from dishes, pots, propane stove top, small cooler etc. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Robert for allowing me to celebrate my birthday camping.

The tent was comfy and cozy. Outdoor shower was spacious and cool, especially during a summer day after being out and about. Engle Freezer/Fridge kept everything cold/frozen as needed, and the stove top and all worked well.
No issues with anything.
A recommendation would be to have a more noticeable color for the gate as the “blue gate” was not visible and we could not figure out if we were at the right place. Maybe paint the gate a brighter color OR place a sign on the fence and staple it/nail it, etc. Other than that everything was great, just a slight suggestion for better visibility.
