Steve's campsite offers a beautiful and relaxing outdoor experience, with a prime location by the river. Visitors appreciate the spaciousness and privacy between the sites, which are well-kept and equipped with clean facilities. Many guests enjoyed the natural surroundings, including the river, waterfall, and wildlife, making it a great spot for families and pet owners. While most feedback is positive, there was a mention of a site mix-up and nearby noise from other campers, but the overall sentiment remains positive with Steve being noted as a responsive and welcoming host.

We had a great time here as always! It’s a beautiful property with a lot to explore. The kids love running wild and free, and especially visiting the animals. There was a mix up this time in that we did not get the site we specifically reserved and and had stayed at twice before. It was a beautiful location, possibly better based on water access being feet away instead of a short (and still easy) drive. There was also a large party at an adjacent site, and vehicle traffic to additional sites further down, so it was not entirely private like the site we had reserved. It would not have been a big deal had we been informed beforehand so we could decide if it was still appropriate for our group.

This is one of our favorite HipCamps we’ve been to! Even though there are multiple sites in the property, they’ve spaced them out so well (at least 1/2 a mile from each other) so it feels totally private and peaceful. Our site was right next to the river in a big field, and it gave us the best of both worlds with both trees and open sky. There’s a nice little nature trail on the property that led to a wildlife center, which was a fun daytime activity. The waterfall and creek were also super neat to walk to and see. Next time, we will definitely pack our fishing pole and supplies for even more onsite activities.
Steve was super kind and responsive, highly recommend this stay!

This is a beautiful, secluded camp site that is well maintained, would absolutely stay again!
Steve made me feel so welcomed at his property! He greeted me and we went inside to pick up some food from the freezer. I would highly consider picking up some beef bacon. It was amazing! I had to leave early and Steve checked in on me to make sure everything was okay. I felt incredibly safe at his property! My dog had a great time being off leash, making in the waterfall, and looking out at the river.
Great spot! Tons of room and gorgeous site right on the water. The kids and dogs loved the area! Steve serviced the porta john and had everything for standard campsite you’d need. Would recommend to anyone

I wasn’t able to make it to the camp site by any means, due to outside factors of my own. Though Steve was understanding and offered help!
Great camping right on River! Steve is a great host. Everything was clean including the portapotty. Will be booking again!

This was our first ever Hipcamp experience and it blew us away. The property is gorgeous and we were the only people there. There is so much space to pitch any type of tent. We appreciated having the on-site porta potty which had just been cleaned. The river access was awesome, and the river was perfect for wading. We did have a little hiccup with the firewood we ordered, but Steve rectified it later in the evening.
Just a note for those using Google maps, the right turn going towards the property is a little funky, it tells you to go further than you actually should and we had to turn around. Maybe it was just my service, so I would recommend you download the map of the area before heading there in case you don't have much service.
We absolutely loved this site, and so did our dog. We will be back!
The river farm is a beautiful farm with gorgeous views of the Shenandoah River. Steve was an excellent host who welcomed us and checked on us throughout our stay. I would highly recommend the river farm for your camping needs. We will definitely be going back.

The Bear Table
Beautiful area and well maintained property. Our group had a blast. Thank you!
Absolutely loved camping here with my family and dogs. There's about a mile (I believe) between each site, you can't even see the other sites, so even if there were other people I wouldn't have been concerned about my dogs at all which is a big deal for us. The lake is right in front of the sites, and the waterfall is to the left when facing the river. At the hilltop and RV site, the cows are close by, but they weren't a bother at all. They were very fun to look at and listen to. The host sells beef out of his barn, the meat sticks and steakon were great, haven't had the chance to try the filet yet! Overall, great experience, very laid back
Couldn’t have been happier with our stay! The farm was gorgeous, private, and well maintained, right on the river. We had a group of 8 and everyone agreed that this was the best Hipcamp they’ve been to in the DMV area. Host was accommodating and responsive. Will definitely book again!

This was our groups third time returning and we’ll definitely be back again!
This was a return trip for us. It was just as relaxing and beautiful as the first time. This area is truly special for bird watchers, you will see dozens of species. We tubed, swam in the falls, and enjoyed our stay very much!

What an awesome site! Steve was immediately responsive every time we reached out, and he was an excellent host. We toured the land and had a great time camping. We will DEFINITELY be back!
This was a perfect camp site!! Went with my family & took our two dogs. The dogs had a blast, plenty of space while still having some fencing around to keep them from being too crazy. It was private and the stars were great. Host was wonderful, everything was easy to find, and the bathroom was clean.
It was daddy long legs galore but personally if i had to pick one bug to see a bunch it would be them. Harmless and on items more than people. Overall a great trip!!
