Legacy Lake is a family owned property where we believe in the power of nature to bring people together and create memorable experiences that stand the test of time. This serene outdoor retreat offers primitive camping and catch & release fishing. Enjoy access to the lake where you can bring your canoe, kayak or simply enjoy being outside in nature away from the hustle of life. Each camping site comes with a platform so you can camp off of the ground and have rain coverage. So, whether you’re seeking solitude under a sky full of stars or looking to create precious moments with loved ones, we invite you to refocus on what truly matters and make memories that last a lifetime with us at Legacy Lake. The sites are a 5 minute walk from the parking area. Walk over the bridge to your campsite. If you plan to bring a lot of gear, you may find it useful to have a small wagon. There is a porta potty on the premises across from the beach area. Some campers have found it helpful to bring a broom to clean off the platform. As a primitive camping site, please respect nature and take your trash with you when you leave. We hope you have a wonderful stay at Legacy Lake.

I had a great time! Host was great and communication was timely. Nice secluded spot and the fishing was fantastic. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I could never get a response from the host about walking distance to campsite which was about 1/3 mile with 3 kids and gear for 5. The porta pottie needed to be emptied. The was a foul odor coming from one of the small huts on site. The tent platform was too small for our tent. The host never answered his phone.

Host unresponsive. Sites were decent, other than the fact that you can hear every car pass by and several trains pass every hour. Took SUPs on lake and that was good.

unfortunately the cons outweighed the pros for us. while the lake is beautiful and the site was private, it is directly next to a loud road and active train track, and the platform site is a a few hundred yards down a trail from parking. additionally the porta potty was badly in need of attention.

We stayed at the campsite and everything was great. The area was peaceful, with a very beautiful lake. I truly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

I arrived and directions said host would meet to check in. No response on the text app & I walked around in the rain for over a hour trying to see where my spot could be. Eventually I left.

Lake was beautiful, covered platforms were great especially since we had some rain during our stay. However, this site is listed as a “park at site” option, but it’s not. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the tent sites, which isn’t bad, but could be an issue if you’re taking several trips. Host was communicative prior to the booking dates, but didn’t respond at all to questions during our stay, even now that we’re back home, we still never heard back. Shared picnic area was a nice touch.

Really enjoyed our stay! The roof coverings were helpful as it had rained throughout the night. Chris was hospitable as we were allowed to move sites closer to the lake our second night. If you don’t mind a little train/traffic noise this is a great spot for quick get away and for easy catch and release fishing!
