Basic pitch (no water or hook up) but lovely woods and trails to creek and pond. Try to arrive by daylight or is very tricky to find!

Beautiful property, very nice communication. Composting indoor toilet with a sink was a nice comfort to have while camping. The pond was beautiful.

What’s not to love?! Alison and Tristan’s land is so beautiful and inspirational. You can feel their generosity as hosts and their love for the plants, animals, stones and spirit of their property. This site has private swimming, thoughtful amenities like firewood, potable water, and composting toilet, fun details that invite interaction with nature. I was so comfortable during my 2-night stay. Campers must be comfortable with a friendly and curious dog visitor to their site. Otherwise it was 100% peaceful and serene. I would definitely come again!

I absolutely loved my tent camping stay at Alison and Tristons Riverwalk campsite !!
They were more than accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed, checked in on the first and last day of my stay, and also gave me some trails and swimming spots while staying on the property!
The site itself was beautiful, clean, shaded toward the end of the day, and perfectly accessible ( as a solo camper in a smaller vehicle)
The trail that leads down to the river with the swing is enchanting and breathtaking. Truly a beautiful spot to relax and explore.
The community bathroom was clean and actually pretty cozy ( with the single wall, floor to ceiling, mini library) It was nice having a sanitary place to use the bathroom, accessible running water, a spigot to fill water jugs, and a place to charge things while there.
You can tell Alison and Triston have put so much time into their land, working hard to make it a beautiful, relaxing, getaway kind of place to be. There’s so much to do and explore on their 200 acres and they are more than happy to share it! They are great people with a true gem of property and I’m so grateful they share it with all of us!
I will 1000% be back to stay and explore some more !!
Also Oliver, their farm dog, is an awesome dude !

Had a really great time during this trip! The land is really beautiful with fun exploration options. There were multiple people staying on the property when we were there and it had a great community feel. Also plenty of space to do solitary activities if that is your preference. We also got a great little homesteading tour. Definitely hope to go back!

Tristan was very kind and available and made sure we knew that we could let him know if we needed anything at anytime! The pond campsite was private, however, not extremely secluded (not that it claimed to be, but just to give you a sense of the experience) From the site, nothing (the bathroom/parking spots/other campsites) is visible except for part of the house, but you are not actually that far away from any of those things. So, there’s a sense of privacy but also a sense that you are not too secluded from the other campers and the host’s family. The bathroom was clean and easy to access, and was a great showcase of awesome moths from the outside light! In the pond, there are tons of newts, peepers, bullfrogs, and dragonflies, so it delightfully was not super buggy- would definitely still be prepared with bug spray but the standing water didn’t add to the bugginess as we were worried it might. Oliver (their dog) was very well behaved and was not a bother. He visited the site once in the morning but pretty much minded his own business. We did play with him for a bit but we are both not dog people so we appreciated that he wasn’t super “in your face.” All in all great experience and would recommend!

"Romance" Private Pondside Campsite
We had an incredible night staying at Tristan and Alison's place. They were happy to help us with anything we needed, the bathroom was clean and had hot water, the fireplace was great, we had plenty of room, and we had so much fun with their goats, pigs, and sweet dog. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and well-equipped camp spot, I highly recommend staying here.

Overall: 8/10
Cabin 9/10: very well thought out indoor space and includes everything you may ever need and extremely clean. Wood stove works great. It would be a 10 but the owners personal food items were stored in the cabin.
Privacy 6/10:
If you're looking for a secluded cabin, this isn't it. It was a lot closer to the house than anticipated. People will constantly be walking into the space to use the bathroom which takes the private out of privacy. You can also see the bathroom from the upstairs cabin window which is unsettling. If you're not looking for a private getaway, this is your spot!
Otherwise it was fine!
Outdoor space: 9/10. Very nice, clean, and well taken care of.
Location: 11/10 Brattleboro was terrific. Good bookstores, thrifting, and restaurants. Will definitely be visiting again.
Hosts 12/10 : fantastic, receptive and kind.

I've camped here multiple times, and I'm always finding new things to enjoy. During the day, there's hiking trails to explore, farm animals to visit, and tree swings to bring out your inner child. (My favorite swings are the Hilltop and Brook.) But even once the sun goes down-- at night, there's other things to enjoy! It's very tranquil sitting near the pond watching the bats flying overhead, and getting glimpses of the Milky Way for dark sky photography!
The campsites are all well-equipped and the outhouse is very clean with running water, a charging station, and lots of reading material. Tristan is a very accommodating and communicative host, who is always looking for ways to improve the guest experience.
We'll definitely keep coming back!

Quill Nook Farms is a charming and unique campsite. The campsite had everything we were looking for and we got to explore all the unique and fun things around the site -- from the swing to the beautiful pond. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Thistledew Forest Campsite
This is my third visit, and each time the place keeps getting better. There's a new site near the pond which has clear views of the skies for stargazing. The settings is excellent, and falling asleep was easy with the forest sounds around you. Will definitely be coming back for another visit.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Moonhouse! We were two couples visiting for a weekend to get away in nature and it did not disappoint. We had a blast using the tree swings, exploring the beautiful property, and hanging out with the many animals including two adorable cats, a dog, piglets, goats, and chickens. Tristan and Alison were so hospitable, friendly, and welcoming. They made sure the place was set up before we arrived with an extra mattress and blankets for one of the couples. Their recommendations for activities in the area were also super helpful. We felt so welcomed like we a part of their family. We would highly recommend visiting Quill Nook Farm to anybody!

My daughter and I had a magical stay at this location. The land is full of serene and positive energy! There are tall swings at various locations that will keep you busy for hours, the property is beautiful with a peaceful pond, and there are so many cool stone walls and stone structures. The farm dog and kitties are very friendly, keeping you company but not being intrusive. The hosts were friendly, very fast to respond to questions, and great communicators during our two nights stay. There are some really nice places to go swimming within 10 to 15 minutes around, including Green river covered bridge and lake Raponda. The place is very close to Wilmington VT, as well as Brattleboro, both of which have very nice restaurants, galleries, and shops. I can’t wait to return!

This place was new to me and there are many things to recommend it. Let's start with the bathroom which was one of the nicest and cleanest I've experienced. The library of books only added to the charm, with a broad variety of titles. And if you have electronics but no way to charge them, an outlet is provided for you there.
The tent platform was sturdy and sized just right for a 3 or 4-person tent. There's a fire ring and picnic table at the site.
I opted for the "tree swing" package and was not disappointed. Among the five swings there were two that were favorites, but each was different different. Wrangling a goat back into its enclosure was not part of the package but an added bonus - they were very well socialized.
There was more of the property to explore than I had time for and I'll definitely be coming back.

Quill Nook Farm is a magical place in beautiful beautiful Vermont - the goats and pigs and kitties were friendly and adorable, the vast greenness was certainly satiating for the nature needs, and Tristan was extremely welcoming and kind. We only spent one night here but would totally spend more! The brook is crisp and a visit to it is a wonderful way to start the day, and the tree swings are an awesome addition. Thank you, Quill Nook!

What a lovely charming place to stay! Our campsite was awesome with the tent platform and the trees provided enough privacy from the other cute cabins. Bathroom was clean and I loved the compost toilet! Really unique property with cute farm animals, lot of nature everywhere, and good vibes! Host was nice and friendly the couple times we saw him! Definitely would recommend :)

We had an amazing time camping on Alison & Tristan's land. Their location is at once conveniently close to Brattleboro's downtown area (in case you'd like to take a day trip to check out the local shops) and far enough away that you are secluded & surrounded by forest and nature. Their bucolic landscape is beautiful and peaceful, with a dog and 2 cats roaming around (who were adorable and so so friendly!). They have a goat barn and area with pigs on their land which is just a brief walk from the camping site, but you wouldn't even know they were there if you weren't interested in seeing them!
The hosts were awesome and take incredible care of the place, and also gave some great recommendations for swimming holes and other activities we were asking about. There was so much to do in close proximity to the campsite, even just within walking distance. Highly recommend staying here and we will likely be back!

Loved camping here. Was my girlfriends first time camping so we were looking for something with a bathroom. Directions were clear on how to get to the site (download directions or the area prior to arrival) We came in late Friday night and found our spot in the dark. Set up the tent on a nice platform near the fire pit, platform had much more room for a bigger tent too. They left us jelly too (thank you so much) can't wait to try it. The property was beautiful, tucked back from the "main road" thay barely had cars on it anyways. We loved meeting all their animals, Oliver (their doggo) was a well behaved pup who visited us time to time. They have 2 beautiful kittys that are identical to my cat so it was nice meeting them too, they were very sweet and curious. They have a outlet in the bathroom that said we could charge our phones if needed. They had adorable goats and pigs too. It was a nice location not far from mass or nh lines wich worked out perfectly coming from mass and heading to nh after. We walked to the river that's close to the site and spent the day in the sun and swimming (be warned its cold but that's expected with the snow melt rivers) I hope to go back some day, adding it to my list for sure. Thank you guys so much!

This is a gorgeous spot set into lush rolling hills with a beautiful drive to get there, along a rushing river. Follow the directions provided-as you’ll have limited service as you closer to the farm (they do a great job describing how to get there in the location description). We were in our van-rather than a tent, so we didn’t need to use the tent platform-but the whole area would have been perfect had we been tent camping. The composting toilet set up and sink with running water were clean and tidy in the building directly across from the site. Everyone we met was so friendly! We mostly had rain on our visit-but we did get out for a walk to the pond and got to see the neighbor’s horses up the road a bit from our site. We had great adventures to Brattleboro (just a short drive) and Mass MOCA (45 min). Also-delicious ice cream at nearby Blueberry Haus. This is a wonderful spot-we’ll be back to explore more next time we are in Vermont!
