The forest retreat cabin was great! Secluded, the fire stove kept us warm in the cold, windy night, and Sara and Bob were kind and helpful throughout! Great communication, the sugar shack was super cool to see, and the syrup was amazing! We had everything we needed for a great stay and will definitely be back again!

We loved our stay! The view from the farm is amazing and made for great moongazing. Everything was clean and tidy. It felt like camping indoors. We would love to return for another visit.

Sara's land was beautifully tended to and welcoming for our 2 night stay! All of the signage was incredibly helpful upon arrival, and we had little to no problems with the cozy stay!

We loved the Forest Retreat cabin. It was cozy, comfortable and private. Sara's farm is beautiful. Be sure to view the mountain sunsets from the upper field!

Staying at Sara's was wonderful! We booked the Forest Retreat for one night and had a beautiful stay- the scenic views across Sandiwood are amazing, and the lush greenhouses were impressive. Talking to Sara granted us a very deep appreciation for the land and we were excited to be staying with such a genuine VT Family. I recommend bringing extra blankets if you see the weather will be chilly! We had a great time and are excited to visit again.

Primitive cabins on beautiful land

There were 6 of us, all family, that rented 3 of Sara's cabins. We were looking for an off-the-grid, quiet, and beautiful fall experience and that's what we got. The property is gorgeous with several greenhouses growing different crops and one for a hang-out. We took advantage of that one of the nights as the rain was relentless. Sara was a great host, very welcoming, and gave us some things we should see and do in the area. I would stay here again and I recommend this ace to others. Thanks for a beautiful Vermont farm stay!

Wonderful people and landscape

Little gem nestled in the woods

It was a total joy to stay in this special cabin in the woods! We loved how peaceful it was; being able to lie on the bed, see the trees all around you and listen to the sounds of the forest. As others have said, it is rustic, but this was exactly what we wanted. Sara is such a welcoming host, and the setting of the farm is beautiful. Thank you for a great stay!

Peaceful long weekend!

Tent sites at Sandiwood Farm

We loved staying at Sandiwood Farm! Sara is a great host and showed us to our cabin (Hempview) when we arrived just before sundown - the attention to detail and fresh flowers she gave us made it even cozier. She was kind and available while respecting our space. The property is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. A short drive took us to lake Elmore, Smugglers Notch in Stowe, and Morristown. At night, we enjoyed sitting by the fire and watching the fireflies. We truly recommend this place if you’re looking to get away and relax!

Beautiful Location and Maple Syrup!

Sara's camp site is lovely, and she was a wonderful hostess. She has a small farm stand with maple syrup, plants and some beautiful pottery made by a neighbor. Ended up with 3 new dishes and two jugs of syrup. Delightful stay.

Cabin nestled in the woods

The cabin was absolutely perfect and even with the cold weather my partner and I were kept warm. It was a great getaway for the weekend during the busy year and both of us would highly recommend staying here, it was a wonderful stay!

Lovely All Around

Beautiful property and very welcoming hosts! I was looking to get off the grid for a bit to relax and recharge after a busy month, so I surprised my husband with a mini stay-cation at Sandiwood Farm. It was better than I imagined! Once settled in, we watched the sun set and the sky was perfectly clear later in the night for star gazing (made that much more enjoyable by some complimentary flower grown on site). Even though it was a chilly evening the wood stove kept us warm while we ate dinner and played cards. We even got to purchase some maple syrup and a flower vase, both made on the farm. We left feeling grateful we found such a gem. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Sara!

We had a great stay at Sandiwood farm and Sara was an incredible host. Even though they were hosting a wedding the next day and had a lot to do, she was very welcoming, patient with us and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The views from the farm are amazing and we will definitely be visiting again!

Cozy cabin

Beautiful experience!! We stayed in Hempview Cabin which had a full sized mattress, table, chairs, and sofa. Amazing views and sunshine streaming in the cabin all day. The outdoor kitchen was closed for the season but had water which was very close by. Would love to return here without a doubt! It was chilly in the fall but with lots of layers and blankets it's very cozy.

Beautiful rustic cabin

The cabin was beautiful and cozy! Took lots of great fall photos. Sara was a very welcoming host. Definitely remember to bring a flashlight as it’s a bit tricky to find the cabin in the dark without one.

Perfect getaway!

Wow... we had an amazing time at Sandiwood. The cabin was perfect. Private, clean, comfortable and just the right size. Sara was a very accommodating host and made check in easy. While the cabin is tucked in the edge of a forest, what we didn't know is that a few feet away is a beautiful meadow where we saw the most amazing constellation show. Truly breathtaking.

I hate writing reviews and sharing the places that I discover as when I go back to book in the future the secret spots have been discovered. This is one of those spots. I loved my time spent here! The family that runs the place were awesome, you knew they were there but, let you have the space to yourselves. I love farms and this one was a pleasure with the birdsong and views. The northeast kingdom has always held a special spot in my heart. This is off the grid camping but with a roof, table, bed and water nearby. I ended up in the Hemp view with the mattress. Moonrise doesn't have a mattress but large enough you could easily set up a tent inside. I loved the space of the Moonrise, used as a morning coffee porch. My only issue which is silly was the outhouse, I love outhouses and this one was nice and clean. I think that it was designed for a super tall person as I sat on the throne my feet were dangling about 6 inches above the ground. I suggest a step up as the mechanics of said position were a little challenging. Loved, loved, loved this place and Sara thanks again so much! You are definitely a triple W a wicked working woman!! Thank you!
