We had a great time camping here! We participated in two glass blowing classes while we were there and Robert & Kathy were such warm and hospitable hosts! We enjoyed some great meals at their fabulous recommended restaurants and even had a magical evening star gazing at their grand opening of their Taft Hill Farm Observatory!

Robert was an amazing host and the campsite was serene. Right next to the river, a built in fireplace, private but accessible - I couldn't have asked for more. Robert was so accommodating and gave me a tour of his studio and let me watch some of the glassblowing in action. It's worth going out of your way.

Great spot, especially for fall camping. The fireplace throws off a lot of heat on the cold nights. The camp site was clean and had a solid picnic table. Make sure to look up Robert DuGrenier Glass Art Gallery for your directions, the entrance is between two guard rails right across the street. There's a steep downhill to get into the field. The GPS can send you to a road across the river if you aren't looking for the studio itself. We will definitely be back!

Such a lovely little spot right on the river! We had a great time at the Oak site. Perfect fit one one giant tent and a small one. The giant meadow gives a good buffer from the road and the site is surrounded by woods. They released the dam the weekend we were there so we got to see the river rise dramatically from end of summer dry to rapids and then settle down again. Robert let us watch him work in the glass studio making small votives and was very welcoming and friendly! We went to the farmers market down the road Friday night and the vibes were immaculate. Definitely recommend this site, and the hike at Hamilton falls. The entrance to the site is tricky for a small/low to the ground car to your front bumper will probably get a little scratched, just a warning. The river access is also on a very steep incline next to the campsite, so not great if muddy or if you have bad knees. We went to a little coffee shop called Bigfoot right on Rt 30, and tried a brewery in West Dover, also stopped in Brattleboro on the way home Sunday. Convenient location and great area to explore!

Lovely camping spot with the river nearby. Surprisingly quiet though the road is not far. Robert is very responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend if you want to have a great time!

My friends and I had a lovely time at the Riverside Oak Site. It was the right size site for 2, 4-person tents (there were 3 of us there) and it was very private from the other sites. The meadow was perfect for star gazing, but the highlight was the access to the river. We set our chairs up on the tiny beach to have coffee in the morning and read in the evening and enjoyed the peaceful, babbling brook. Not as buggy as many other campsites I've been to either, which was nice. The outhouse could have been a little tidier, but it was a lot better than most I've used camping. Location was great to various swimming holes, hikes, and cute towns. Just download offline maps before you get there! Overall, we had a fabulous time and would love to come back.

Such a great spot. Cute, very private spot with direct access to the river. We woke up both mornings and had coffee watching the river run by. Clean space and honestly the outhouse was one of the best I’ve ever used. We would def come back!

Oak was the perfect riverside spot to pitch a large tent. Access to the river was key. Perfect for a dip and sunset. The fireplace was handy as well as the composting toilet just a few steps away from the spot. I was a guest of a friend and I will be booking this to go again, with her and other friends and family. The only recommendations I would make is access to cleaner water (hose water from house good for washing dishes but did not appear good for drinking due to off color and a scent) or just mention “BYOW” for drinking. As well, provide dry wood and a little more of it, as it says not to bring your own. Other than that, chefs kiss!! Can’t wait to go back and take a class at the glass studio!!

The best part about staying at Robert's campground was seeing Robert at work in his glass studio! He is so eager to share about his love of glass blowing. The campsite was cosy and we could hear the river.

Absolutely lovely place and lovely hosts! The glass blowing studio and shop is stunning, and everyone is very friendly. The campsite has a safe place for campfires, cleared level ground, and a picnic table! The sound of the river lulled us to sleep, it was idyllic. Couldn’t ask for a better stay. One thing to note is the very steep drive down to the campsite, but if my little prius could make it, anyone can. Thanks so much!!

My friends and I loved camping on Robert's campsite! It was secluded, but relatively near a major road where we could drive to get food, etc. The river was beautiful, if cold this time of year (May), and it is near some great hiking spots. The fire pit is also really nice. We especially enjoyed cold swimming a mere 30 minutes away in Jamaica State Park. Thanks so much, Robert!

We camped in a snowstorm when most other Hipcamps we talked to were inaccessible. While the scenic camp spots down by the river would have been my normal preference, the spot near the glass blowing shop met our needs. Robert's location is along Rt. 30 which takes priority for snow removal over lesser roads. This allowed us to reach his spot during very snowy conditions. Would come back in the warmer months in hopes of reserving a spot by the river. Side note, Robert is an amazing glass blowing artist!

We loved tent camping on Robert’s land. It was near a river which was fun to explore and our site was close walking distance to the compost toilet. It was a bit noisy at night because of the nearby road, but the river sounds drowned out most of it and created a peaceful environment. The fire pit was well contained and picnic table was awesome for food prep and eating! We brought a larger container to store water, but there is a hose across the street to refill if needed. This was great for cleanup! We took a glass blowing class and maple syrup class during our stay and absolutely loved both. Such educational and fun experiences you wouldn’t typically find camping. Robert was responsive and had recommendations for local events. He was friendly and super accommodating, even adding a glass class in for our group! Would stay here again!

We had an amazing time. The Oak site was private and had great river access. This may have been our favorite campsite we have been to. Robert was great and we loved seeing his glass shop. Saturday I went and watched some demos and had a great time. I cant recommend enough!

Great spot! Camping by the river was beautiful and Robert was a wonderful host. There are 3 sites on the property but they all have a lot of privacy. There is a field that leads to the sites that is perfect for stargazing on a clear night.

Great spot. Access to the river is amazing. The place was well maintained. We grabbed a few extra dry logs for the night from the local market and were all set for the night. The tranquility of the space was the best part. Finding the exact camping spot was a little cumbersome. It was hard to find the hipcamp board marking the direction to the campsite off the road.

Robert’s land is amazing! This is actually our second time is less than a month staying at the oak site and I’m sure it won’t be our last! The site is very private and proximity to the water cannot be beat!
