This is the perfect site for a getaway in the Green Mountains. It’s spacious, private, and central to a lot of cool hiking trails! John was incredibly kind, and was gracious enough to meet me at arrival and walk me through all the accommodations at his property. I’ll absolutely be back!

Very enjoyable stay! John met me and explained the site and surrounding area. He was very helpful. It is a beautiful spot right on a river/stream in the Green Mountains. While it is close to the road, it felt private and quiet. It is very convenient to multiple hiking trails and we enjoyed the hike around Texas Falls. I was only there 1 night as I was passing thru but wished I had more time to enjoy the area. I hope to be back soon!

Pine Pitch is an absolute gem! We loved having the entire property to ourselves. We have stayed here for a quick overnight stay as well as a week+ long stay in our 40 ft class A.
There is a gorgeous river on site, high speed internet, and firewood provided. The site is easily accessible and well kept.
John is incredibly kind, accommodating, and communicative.
Our family of four highly recommends his space to fellow adventurers.

An Absolute Peaceful Paradise

We cannot recommend Pine Pitch Campground enough. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is the perfect spot.
The highlight of our stay was the stunning location. Our site sat right on the edge of a beautiful, gently flowing brook. The entire setting felt like a true escape from everyday life.
What made our trip even more exceptional was the camp host, Richard. He was incredibly accommodating and helpful, truly going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect from start to finish. The hospitality matched the beauty of the grounds. We left feeling completely refreshed and are already talking about our next trip back!

My husband and I stayed 5 days at Pine Pitch Lodge and had a wonderful time. The location was central to all of the areas that he wanted to do some flyfishing, and it was a great area for me to explore hiking trails, historic sites, and local towns. The campsite is a beautiful setting next to a river with lots of birdwatching. John was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and make sure we had everything we might need. He is also a very interesting person to talk with and we found we had a lot of common experiences and background. Great sandwiches and pizza just up the road in Hancock at Hubbard Country Store if you want a break from camp food. We will certainly check on Pine Pitch Lodge’s availability the next time we head up to that area of Vermont!

John is an amazing host and truly embodies what Hipcamp is all about! He met us down the road to guide us to the site, walked us through the setup, and was available whenever we had questions about the surrounding area. There is so much to see, do, and eat nearby that we are sure to be back!

John was an amazing host! He met us when we got to town and lead us to the site. He took the time to walk us through getting everything set up and even had the firepit prepped for us! He was accessible for anything we needed and checked on us on occasion to make sure we had everything we needed. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and recommended several local attractions for us to visit while in the area. The site itself was an amazing spot on the creek. It was peaceful in the evenings and fun to play with the pup in the creek. Texas Falls is a very short distance from the spot and was a great place to get a run or hike in first thing in the morning. I highly recommend and cant wait until we can get back to stay again!.
