With 1,000 acres of wilderness terrain, a dozen secluded campsites and numerous cabins, lean-tos and shelters to suit your needs, Mt. Norris is big enough for any private event but perfect for your family or group. Ascend the 1,482-foot vertical 5-mile round trail to the summit of Mt. Norris or carve your own path in snow shoes or cross country skis to the shores of Lake Eden. We have 75 years of experience helping introduce families to the outdoors. Handicraft Cabin
Eric and his team were incredibly helpful and accomodating -- this was a big trip with 80 8th grade students and 15 or so chaperones. They answered all of my questions ahead of time (which was a lot) and it's a beautiful landscape with pristine waters, hooting owls, and large lawns for play. It was so useful to be able to use the kayaks and canoes and life jackets, and it was really helpful to have access to some indoor space for the (unfortunately) soaking rain we had.

The camp facilities were truly outstanding for our event! Upkeep was great and we had no issues with the property at all. It was a wonderful fit for our group and our event. Thanks so much for making it available to us.

camp was everything we wanted! we had plenty of space and it was very quiet. we enjoyed the area and how close to the water we were. although our stay was very cold we were able to bring some firewood with and have a campfire in one of the multiple available pits. finding our site was easy. i would absolutely recommend this site and would definitely come back.

Such a special place to stay. We loved the simplicity of the cabin. It was exactly what we needed for a wellness reset! So cozy with the wood burning stove, and the bunk mattresses were surprisingly comfortable. So clean and inviting. Ranger Eric was very communicative and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed in the Mount Mansfield cabin and it was fantastic! I stayed during the Winter, the wood stove was a huge help. The host was very welcoming and hospitable. Navigating to the site was not difficult.

Camel's Hump Village
Eric was amazing and super communicative! The lodges were perfect for our event - we hosted a Civil Air Patrol Wing Winter Bivouac with 20 cadets and 4 Senior Members and the entire event was a huge success!!! Thank you so much to Mount Norris and Eric for the great lodging and perfect site!

I enjoyed staying at the cabins! Dry cabin with wood fired stove. Simple and comfortable. Very peaceful and affordable while on a backcountry ski getaway. Eric - the ranger - is excellent at communication. Roads well plowed despite being there during huge storm. Would happily stay here again.

We had a ton of fun! It was a winter wonderland and the cabin got real warm with the wood stove, the perfect base area to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of Vermont. Eric is very responsive / helpful, and it’s awesome to support Vermont Scouting! We’ll be back!

Cozy, warm cabin with excellent access to nearby trails/ski resorts. Cabin has soft mattresses to sleep on- just bring a blanket, sleeping bag, and pillow(s) and you're good! Woodstove got the cabin warm in no time. Eric the ranger was great at communicating with me and even had a fire started with the cabin warm before I got there! Thank you again for that :) I will be staying again!

We took our Girl Scout Troop winter camping in the Handicraft Cabin. It was a great experience. Ranger Eric was very helpful and responsive to questions before we got there. When we arrived we found that he had plowed us easy access to the site and the latrines. The wood for inside was also well stocked. We will definitely be booking again!

I went with a group of 11 people. We had an absolute blast. It really felt like we were kids again at a summer camp. We went late octobre when the night start to get really cold, but the heating system in the cabin was fantastic and we were really comfortable at night. The lake is simply beautiful and the site is huge.

We arrived at night and the Ranger was waiting for us. He nicely offered us to stay inside a little wooden cabin equiped with a stove, which allowed us to be warm and comfy during the night (the temperatures were very cold that night) The camping ground was nice and beautiful and located near beautiful hikes. Only minor little issue would be the quasi total absence of a plug anywhere to charge up phones or batteries. Just one in the shower building. But we managed fine like this ! Would totally recommend to stay there ! Probably one of the best options in the aera !

A really nice place to camp for a group, or even families. The scout camp has a variety of sites, some with cabins, others with tent platforms. Many combinations to suit your needs. Prices are reasonable, and the facilities are complete with showers, water and plenty of toilets.
