GREENHOPE FARM is a small organic homestead on 26 pristine acres of fields woods a large swimming/kayaking pond and adjacent state park wilderness mountain trails. We adjoin Wheeler Mnt protected wilderness and easy access to Mnt Pisgah and Mnt Hor . We are a mile from famous Lake Willoughby in the town of Westmore Vermont The least populated town in Orleans County, Westmore’s natural beauty has inspired artists for over a century, including poet Robert Frost, who in 1909 camped on what is now the WilloughVale Inn & Cottages, then a farm. Centered around the glacier-carved Lake Willoughby, Westmore is known for its fjord-like setting between Mount Pisgah and Mount Hor. Enjoy kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, and swimming on the lake. Whether you want to relax lakeside on the South Beach and enjoy postcard-worthy views, or go on a hike, Westmore is the perfect spot to enjoy the surrounding scenery. With Mount Pisgah less than a 10-minute drive away and Willoughby State Forest 15 minutes away, enjoy the great outdoors year-round in Westmore. Our farm offers a newly built off grid cabin with amenities sleeping two with room for kids You can cook over our fire ring at the cabin site There is a composting portable toilet on site The farmhouse ( where I live) is available for any emergencies that might come up. We support our guests in all ways. There is WiFi at themain house and outside near by. The town of Barton is 10 minutes away with all amenities Willoughby Lake North beach is 2 miles away There are many hiking and biking trails adjacent to our property. Great eating spots nearby too in Westmore Barton and Glover. The cabin is off grid and you must bring water or replenish it at the house There is a private accessible drive in (not far ) This is an off grid experience in a beautiful private setting. Lookout Cabin

We've done a lot of HipCamping, across the country, and this is a really beautiful site! It was clearly a well maintained and well appointed little cabin, clean, and very comfortable. The view from little front porch, over the clear frog pond, and to the mountains beyond, was such a joy to wake up to every morning. The host, Sallie, was very communicative, kind, and clearly has really put love into this site. A beautiful spot that we'll return to again for sure!

Cute off grid cabin

Lovely little cabin. Nice for a quick place to sleep. Only thing was it said “lake” in the description so I was planning on fishing on the water but it’s a cute little frog pond instead. Still a nice spot!

Wonderful Experience!

Lookout Cabin

Our stay was absolutely AMAZING. Sallie was a wonderful host—so kind and welcoming. The experience felt like a true adventure: no electricity, no plumbing, no Wi-Fi—and we loved it. It was exactly the reset we needed. The cabin itself is cozy, sweet, and thoughtfully tucked into nature with a beautiful view. We spent our days unplugged and present, mountain biking at Kingdom Trails just 30 minutes away and soaking in the quiet. Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down, reconnect, and breathe.
