La Lu Farm is a beautiful property! The Goat Yurt is comfortable and the wood-burning stove makes it very cozy. The yurt is a good base camp for exploring the cute nearby towns and hiking in the Green Mountains. On a cold night, be sure to bring a warm sleeping bag and extra firewood (also, bring toilet paper for the outhouse). My spouse and I had lovely stay and would recommend!

My partner and I booked a camping trip at La Lu's Farm and we loved it. We were there in early October and the foliage around the property was beautiful. We stayed in one of the Yurts and it was super cozy. The goats were super friendly too! Also, I really appreciate how responsive Constancia was to all of our questions!

My partner and I spent a week at LaLu Farms for a getaway and to experience Vermont during the beginning of Fall. Constancia was a fantastic contact leading up to our trip, texting me various places we should try for local foods and trails.
When we arrived, her husband, Kevin, greeted us and walked us down to the yurt(about a 3 minute walk from where we parked). We were provided a good amount of firewood for the week, and we're told to take any wood we found in the surrounding woods if we needed more. The yurt was nice and cozy, with a cast iron heater to keep us warm on the cooler nights. The view of Green Mountain National Forest from the porch was worth the trip in of itself!! Kevin and Constancia would check in if they were out when we returned, but let us be and enjoy the trip.
The goats (8 of them) were such sweethearts. Very shy at first, but by the last day they were walking up to us and trying to be part of the family. The whole yurt and area we started felt like it was our own little goat farm. There was a compost outhouse near the yurt, which was very well kept and much better than we imagined! There is a shower and running toilet in the barn, which we used a few times. It does have a little smell of a barn, but nothing too overpowering and was very nice when coming back from a long hike.
The village of Waitsfield was a hidden gem. About 10 minutes from the farm, it has everything you need.

We loved our tent site at Constancia's farm. The land is incredibly beautiful and we loved seeing the goats throughout our stay. All directions and instructions were very clear and we really appreciated the effort Constancia goes through to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend staying here.

We had so much fun! The goats were so friendly and came up to us every morning. The views were beautiful and Kevin and Constancia made us feel welcomed and comfortable. I would bring shower shoes for the shower and a flashlight if you plan on coming because it gets very dark at night. 10/10 would reccomend for a weekend getaway.

My second time at La Lu Farm! The owners were a little surprised to see me, as Hipcamp hadn't notified them I'd book a stay, so it might be a good idea to check with them before arriving. I was lucky: no one else was staying already, and they were kind enough to welcome me. Mid-October can be pretty chilly in Vermont, but I was toasty warm with a wood stove and a couple extra blankets. Mornings, I built a fire outside to make coffee and eggs and watched the sunrise. I'd just wanted to be alone for a couple days, so I lazed about, reading books and walking down to the river and, of course, watching the goats, but there are nearby trails to hike and a town to visit, should you be so inclined. Although you're really not alone in the wilderness, it feels like you are; the yurts (there are two, not close together) are both downhill from the farm itself and through the trees, so your entire view is either forest or meadows rolling down to the river, then of the state park's forest rising up. It's peaceful and absolutely gorgeous. (And if you let them, at least two goats will try to nibble your books and your cookware!)

Absolutely incredible stay at Lalu farm!! We arrived late our first night, so didn’t get a chance to see the property very well, but woke up to the most amazing views we’ve ever encountered. We could not stop talking about how beautiful the property was throughout the entire trip. The goats were so friendly, very welcoming to pets and would follow you around as your explored the property. The owners were also very kind and accommodating, just the perfect balance between making sure we had what we needed for a comfortable stay while also allowing us all the privacy we wanted. We also payed for the firewood bundle which was so worth it, we woke up our first morning to a mountain of firewood outside the yurt. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique camping experience, especially during the fall to see the foliage. Already looking forward to a trip next year!!

Constancia's land is beyond beautiful, a little slice of heaven tucked in the Vermont hill's. The yurt was absolutely adorable and cozy. When the nights got cold we lit the fire inside and it felt like we were little hobbits in the shire. There is also a cool skylight in the yurt that lets you star gaze or watch the clouds pass. The yurt is tucked into the woods at the base of a mountain and it just feels amazing, you feel like you are far away from civilization and taking a step back into time. I stayed before I ran the Mad Marathon in Waitsfield and it was perfect, so much better than an inn or hotel in my opinion. If you're looking for somewhere to take a deep breathe and unwind and get away, Constancia's yurt is the place to do it. There is also a wonderful winding little stream not far from the yurt that was so fun to go down and watch all the wild life and dunk our toes into. It was so fun and cute to watch the goats meander to and fro, munching and chomping on the grass. Spending a long weekend at Constancia's was absolutely wonderful and it's an experience I will never forget and hope to experience again in the future. Highly, highly recommend.

It was a very unique place to stay. The yurt was comfortable and big enough to stand in it. The transparent bubble at the top offered a gorgeous view on the stars at night, we were amazed by the fireplace in the yurt, this was just so romantic and the goats were absolutely adorable. The landscape is beautiful and it is the calmest place on earth.
The indications to access the site shared by Constancia were clear enough.
On the down side, I must mention a few things that bugged me : we were not in the yurt you can see on the pictures as this one is being renovated and the one we stayed in is not as nicely located as the one you can see. I came for the yurt, the goats and the cheese : there was no cheese at all. The goats aren't milked anymore and no cheese is produced since the pandemic. I found it very disappointing as this is not what was advertised.
No bedding is provided : you have a bed and that's it. You need to bring your own pillows, your own duvet and your bed sheets. I think for the price, it could at least be provided...
We were not allowed to bring wood from outside and had to pay 20$ per night if we wanted wood, which is totally exaggerated in my personal opinion.
Other than that, I need to say we had a very pleasant stay, it was relaxing, and we totally enjoyed the experience. I just think that it is a bit overpriced when looking at what is advertised and what is expected as a guest for such a price (pillows, duvet, wood).

Constanzias place is amazing. So beautiful and relaxing and super fun. Very genuine and down to earth people and goats. Romantic weekend getaway to say the least. And the firefly show was breathtakingly beautiful. Oh and the goats- they are super cute and fun. Definitely a must if you are looking for a unique and friendly and simple yurt 🛖 experience.

Una experiencia inolvidable!! Che boludos! Thank you so much to Constancia and Kevin for the hospitality. We woke up with the sound of the goats at our door and a magnificent landscape welcome us every morning. We helped Kevin with the garden, shared a good bottle of wine together, ate pizzas homemade by the chef Kevin and danced with Constancia to the moon and stars. Thank you so much.

We had an amazing time staying at the goat farm! :) The yurt was so cozy with the woodstove and the skylight above. Our first night was super clear so we were able to see the stars while laying in bed. We received plenty of wood with our trip for both the outdoor fire pit and the woodstove. Walking outside of the yurt to see the mountains and peak foliage each morning was surreal and the goats were so friendly and playful - they even followed us down to the yurt! There was plenty of stuff to do close by, including one of the best farmer's markets I've ever been to. Constancia was a wonderful host and it's clear that they really love and care about the animals. We will definitely be back!

We had the most amazing stay in the yurt!! Constancia was super helpful and friendly, and answered all of our questions. We spent a ton of time playing with the goats, and also visited Warren falls, one of the loveliest waterfalls/swimming holes in New England. We will definitely be back soon :) Thank you, Constancia!!

We had a great time at the farm! The yurt was a unique stay and the goats were so welcoming. The pasture the yurt is located in is so serene, there’s no light pollution and you can hear all of the sounds of nature around you at night. Constancia was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, will definitely be back again in the future!

Constancia is a super host!! She and her family and her dog aaand her goats are super friendly and gracious hosts. They took the time to show us around the farm and made us feel welcomed. The yurt was comfy and cozy and we enjoyed cooking on the fire and listening to the sound of the brook.

Our stay at La Lu Farm yurt was fantastic - as expected and advertised. Constancia and her family are very warm and welcoming. The property was beautiful, and having the goats around was a blast! We had a great, safe, comfortable stay and will be visiting again!

La lu farms is BEAUTIFUL. The goats are so cool and they follow you down to your yurt- which is an unreal experience. The grounds are breath taking. However, the term shower is a loose term. You are sharing a rat poop smelling shower in the same barn that the goats sleep in (which is fine, so long as you know that!). Constancia is very inviting, but also very intense and will talk your ear off. So be prepared for that or speak up on your boundaries or needs!
Our wood was also very wet which made our fires tough to start! So I would recommend bringing your own, bringing starters. If you do bring your own wood, you will have to bring it down a 6ish minute hike/ down a hill. FYI.

Perfect time of the year to visit VT. We got lucky with the great weather and foliage, it was beautiful. Night skies full of stars and a nice fire was the perfect way to end the nights we were there. Constancia and Kevin were great hosts and very welcoming, so was their pup Penelope! The goats were great and loved getting their heads scratched, little Alex was my favorite. We got breakfast a morning and it was delicious.
Short walk from the driveway down to the yurt and very scenic. I did not have great cell service (main point of the trip was to disconnect in the mountains) and got reception in town 15 minutes down the road. We hiked up Camels Hump (about 30-40 mins away) a day and the view was amazing. We also got to hit the Farmers Market on Saturday before we left, which was great and had a lot of local goods.

We had a great time! The site was a wonderful place to see the stars, but the only disappointment was what was provided for the cost... The goats and Constancia were great, as was the yurt! Just a bit pricey.

The goat farm and all of Vermont really is a magical place. That being said, I just want to mention details that I felt were missing that further guests should know. There is zero electricity meaning no lights to guide you. We arrived late (our fault) and were shown our yurt in pitch black which was difficult to navigate. We also were not shown the bathroom (barn). Depending on your mobile carrier, service will be lacking so plan everything before entering into the area and ask questions up front, it was very difficult reaching the host with no service when trying to find the bathroom. Also, bring many flashlights and perhaps a lantern. The host contacted us right before coming asking if we wanted to be updated to the newest yurt “manola”. We said yes because it was a bed compared to a futon however there is no wood stove like the one we originally booked to keep us warm at night so it was pretty cold. We also noticed that the yurt of the other location where we originally booked seemed to be a nicer location but it was a bit further away from the home. Again, this property is lovely and we had a nice time camping. We just didn’t realize we signed up for a weekend of camping based off of the booking. Just some things to be mindful of...

The best word to describe this place is magical. The views were breathtaking and the goats were so cute and friendly especially Alex! Constancia is super nice and welcoming and recommended a farmer's market in town where I got one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches of my life. Can't wait to go again!!

Had an amazing relaxing time at La Lu Farm. The view from the yurt was perfect. The night sky is worth 5 stars alone, we were able to see the milky way and countless shooting stars! The goats are so cute and playful, it was nice to pet them and watch them graze peacefully. We spent a day by the private brook on the property, hung up the hammock and just enjoyed the view. Constancia was welcoming and easy to talk to.

Constancia and her husband were incredible hosts. Spent a share of time camping, and this by far had the best views.
Waking up and hanging with some goats while playing cards is an experience I won't forget.

La Lu Farm Goat Yurt
The farm was the perfect balance of entertainment and peace, with the goats visiting our campsite often and a small brook close by. We loved the views and the fire pit and yurt were beautiful and in great condition!

Constancias goat farm yurt was hands down the best sudo camping experience I have ever had. Near a very small town where you can restock on basic supplies, see some local art and get a hot meal, but far enough from civilization that you feel emersed in the Vermont woods. Our Yurt was %100 private, with only views or the rolling mountains, the occassional drive by from the goat herd, and a stream only a 5 minute walk from the yurt perfect for coolong off in. Constancia had ample wood piles set up for thr outside bonfire as well as the adorable wood burning stove inside the yurt that was perfect for keeping warm during the chilli night. There was no concern over leaving the fire at a low heat inside as the oven closed completely with the excpetion of small slits to allow airflow.
All the animals on the farm were abnormally friendly, one goat even took a lovely nap in my partners lap before bed time.
The yurt was so private in fact that clothing is optional, and physical affection can be enjoyed comfortably.
Couldnt imagine a better space for any putdoors enthusiast wether it be for a solo trip or a romantic getaway.
Will absolutely be returning as soon as possible!

Two friends and I stayed here to get away and enjoy the outdoors. We enjoyed everything the property had to offer- we walked along the stream one morning (you can hear it running the whole time from the site, it’s so nice), visited the goats, and enjoyed our dinners and late nights by the fire. Constancia and her daughter joined us too, they’re so friendly and awesome. We loved the location too. The Warren Falls we visited, trail we hiked, and little town are within a 10 minute drive, and to go to the town over with more of a downtown was a quick drive away too. Because of COVID-19 we weren’t able to enjoy the other amenities (such as the pizza making it goat activities) so we are really looking forward to coming back again. But still made sure to enjoy the site and take in all of the scenery. We were especially lucky because the first night we saw SOOO many fireflies, it was incredible. It was like the fireflies meshed into the many stars above. On the second day after our hike, we wanted to enjoy the site and a sun shower started. In the middle of it we saw a double rainbow. It was such a cool experience. Overall, we loved our stay and would/will come again.
