Site was private and easy to find. Land was beautiful, fields were very much in a natural state but the paths were well mowed. Didn't see any sign of the owners, and didn't get any responses on the updates I sent. We ended up only staying one night because the tent had issues.

Campground is "unique." No apparent staff on site. VERY rustic. High on a hill with a steep climb to get there. Little maintenance. BUT- Nice outdoor/enclosed shower gravity fed from tank on the hill. Hot water was wonderful after a day of hard cycling. (Riding the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail)

Beautiful, secluded stay

Chris's land was beautiful, secluded and had great amenities. Our site was at the back of the property and we felt like we had enough privacy. We especially liked the outdoor shower and the composting toilet was clean. Chris was on-site and communicated with us well. Chris's land was also close to Johnson, Morrisville, Stowe, and lots of outdoor activities, which we enjoyed during our stay. Pizza on Main, Thompson's Flour Shop, and Johnson Woolen Mills were great places to visit. We will definitely look to book with Chris again in the future!

Not a great site. Probably nice in the fall, but in the summer, it's pretty rough. If you are cycling off the trail, note that it is a solid half mile off, and super steep up to the site. So going from the site down to the bar/restaurant and back up is a tough way to end the day. Also, the whole site needs a really good cleaning, particularly the 'kitchen' area, which had dirty stuff everywhere, including used plates and stuff. The whole site was to a point where i wasn't sure i could trust the water. I probably could, but it was overall just a bit buggery place.

We totally enjoyed our extended tent camping on Chris's property. He is the nicest host! Our dogs loved being off leash, they had never been in the woods before. It was very wonderful to see them running full tilt!. Although the main road isn't far the noise was negligible. Having a shower close by was very nice also. We had brought our own camp kitchen so we didn't need to use the communal kitchen. There are several opportunities to see wildlife. Turkeys, woodchuck, deer, foxes and a plethora of birds. An absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you Chris!

Had an awesome time camping at site 2 for a weekend. Chris was very accommodating. We saw some cool wild life, and explored the little trails on the property. The outdoor kitchen was great for the provided propane stove and prep space, but I would recommend bringing your own utensils and cook ware. Plenty to do and explore in the surrounding area. Highly recommend it!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Lots of standing water inside tent and the inside is dirty. We swept the water out that we could and thankfully we had our own tarp but even still our stuff got wet. The entire night we just heard rodents running around and in the tent

Perfect spot! Definitely recommend. Very private and plenty of room for the dog to roam. The out house was super clean and the hot water shower was spot on. Very nice camping spot.

Nice campsite but site #3 wasn't as private as advertised. There was a couple living in a makeshift house about 200 yards from the site. The facilities were decent. Overall, it was a good experience. Also, there are no picnic tables at any of the sites, just a table at the outside kitchen.

We stayed for one night while biking the Lamoille rail trail. The place is good situated, not far from the trail. Secluded and peaceful. You just need to save some strength for the climb to reach the camp ;-) Christopher was very communicative and we are very thankful for the air mattress he lend us for the night!

Great spot to camp up for the night ! Quiet and clean, firepit available, and a wooden base to put your tent on ! Make sure ypu have flashlights, gets very dark.

Gorgeous Vermont Country!

Our first time using hipcamp was such a pleasant delight ☺️ Chris’s land is perfectly set up for a quick weekend or a longer stay to fully explore the local surroundings. It’s nice to have an outhouse and kitchen facilities, plus delicious spring fed water! Ample places to stroll through the forest, and a quick hike to Prospect Rock for a beautiful view. 100% recommend staying here!
