Beautiful but busy

Three Sisters Hill at Kolob
The lake is beautiful. But the listing is a bit deceiving. We had vehicles constantly coming up the gated road and the overall experience didn’t feel like camping. The main picture shows red rock, but you have to travel over 20 minutes to see anything close. The host wasn’t responsive and never answered my last message. If you don’t mind busy areas, this spot is beautiful.

Breathtaking property. Beautiful views. Very Quiet and serene, that is unless the property owner has people running chainsaws and excavators on the site starting early as 8am. If you camp with kids you know how hard nap time can be, a chainsaw running and workers loading trees into a dump trailer right behind our camper woke my kids up multiple times. I understand there are quiet hours and they didn’t violate those, The privacy we thought we were paying $50 a night for was definitely violated, out of the 4 days we were there we had someone show up OPENING THE CLOSED GATE every single day we were there. Don’t overspend for privacy you won’t get.

What a beautiful location! Teresa prepared the area to create an incredible experience. We were so lucky to see the fall colors on display. We experienced a small hiccup and Teresa bent over backwards to take care of us! We look forward to coming back!

Beautiful spot! Exactly what we were hoping to find on our road trip—peaceful, scenic, and private. The directions were spot-on, and communication with the host was quick, clear, and super helpful, which made arrival stress-free. The campsite itself was well maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Best view on the lake in my opinion. No cell coverage so great for a tech detox. The dark sky makes for some epic star gazing!

This was our 2nd year staying here. It's a great jumping off spot to access Zion. The drive up is beautiful and the temperature is always much cooler in the Summer. Just a great place and folks to deal with. Thanks again 🙏🏼

Awesome spot! The drive at this time of year is phenomenal and you can take the road all the way up to Cedar City if you want. The wildflowers were a knockout all around the space and on the drive. The reservoir is beautiful and it’s peaceful (assuming no one is working on a cabin nearby which was unfortunately my early morning experience), my evening was lovely though and there was plenty of solitude as well as room to play fetch with the dogs. Would totally stay here again.

I loved that this spot sits up and gives a beautiful view of Kolob Reservoir. Being elevated also made it so that all the dust from vehicles driving by on the dirt road didn’t come up into it. There are not any shade trees, so bring your own shade covers.

We liked the wide open space and the tree 🌲 line. Wish we had full hook ups but we dry camped and did fine.

We loved having our own private plot of land to relax and look at the beautiful sunsets. The views of the lake were stunning. There are no amenities at this site so we brought in our own water and a little travel potty (you can also trek down to the road to use the portables if you need to). The dirt roads in the area are great for gravel biking, and the campsite is a short drive to several trailheads on Kolob Terrace. We did experience some noisy neighbors at the campsite below us, but overall it was a great trip!

We had a great time at Camp
Joy. We loved how safe we felt at the location behind a gate. The view is beautiful and even though the colors on the leaves were almost gone, we enjoyed the stars and the great weather. We plan on going back again in the future 😊

Great view lot. The sunsets are amazing! The pad is pretty level with water on site. Very much enjoyed our time there.

Better directions, starting from town. There are multiple ways in one that leads to a dead end that forced me to back up hill several hundred yards. Entrance to site is angled the wrong way. Impossible for a 30 ft travel trailer to back into view was beaitiful

This spot was perfect for our trip. Amazing sunset views, good location on the lake, and separated from other people without being isolated entirely. There is a slight slope to the spot, but you can find a good place for a tent, just sleep with your head up hill. Overall recommend for anyone looking to get away, and it is a dog friendly spot with the fence and distance from the road giving a good buffer for pups to stretch their legs a bit. 10/10 would go again!

We absolutely loved the property the campsite was located on. We enjoyed that it was a single campsite and private. We spent each day in Zion and it was so pleasant to camp above the park where the weather was easily 20 degrees cooler. We've been camping in the same areas every year for many years and this was by far our favorite. Definitely will return for future visits.

Such a beautiful location. The entire area is gorgeous, the lake is pristine, great fishing, and several Zion hiking trails within 20 mins drive. The ONLY thing that made the experience lackluster was there are so many people driving around on the dirt road that you’re constantly getting hit with dust clouds. Aside from that, had a great time.

Three Sisters Hill at Kolob
We had a wonderful view from our campsite at Camp Joy. The rise in the property gives you a birds eye view above the road and the reservoir. There are a few sites around the vicinity but otherwise pretty private. There were a few day visitors to the site below which were fun to watch. They consisted of fly fisherman, families with children playing at the water and even a small group of archery sportsmen. All very respectful. There are quite a few travelers on ATV's and UTV's in the surrounding area and the road in front seems to be a main thoroughfare. We didn't mind it much but you may want to be aware if you are seeking a quite getaway. The
host was very responsive and great to deal with.

Incredible views! Pad is great for an RV, but for 4 tents and 2 cars, it was too small and rocky. Host responded quickly and allowed us to stay further up on property where they have their personal campsite. We had a great time! There is water, and even a portable toilet off property within walking distance.

One of the best campsites I have stayed at; beautiful views, quiet, walk down to the lake. This spot is the reason Hipcamp is great, a perfect piece of land that the owner can share with others to enjoy.
Will be back as soon as we can get up there!

Unfortunately, due to record snowfall, the road to Kolob was closed and we weren't able to make camp Joy. I can say that the host is wonderful and we'll be trying this trip again someday. Thanks!

Three Sisters Hill at Kolob
We had an amazing stay at Camp Joy. It's situated above the lake (reservoir) with a great view. You're close enough to the water to walk on down, but removed enough from everyone, that you feel like you have your own private space. There was plenty of flat space for our little trailer, and with the unique gate, it was very easy to find. The sunset overlooking the lake was very memorable. We definitely plan on bringing family back! Thank you Teresa.
