We took the family out to P-Squared Farm for an overnight camping trip and had an awesome time. The property is beautiful — about 30 acres near Georgetown with river access, so there's plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the outdoors.
The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. My girls absolutely loved riding the horses — that was the highlight of the trip for them. It's those kinds of experiences you can't really plan for; they just light up.
If you're looking for a laid-back family camping spot close to Austin, this is a great pick. We'll definitely be back.

On the River Banks Campsite
Over all the experience was fine. I was disapointed at how much trash was around and how its apparent that a lot of the facilities are not well maintained. I thought that the river bank camping spot would give us privacy, but there were various trail rides that came through multiple times per day. Staff seemed friendly and helpful

Pasture Mingle Campsite
Very easy to find and the hosts were phenomenal! They let us upgrade to an RV site since it was pretty sparse. The horses were lovely! We’ll be staying at the MotherTree next time 🙂

Loved my time on this Ranch. Went to camp at cedar bend park but they were closed, so thankfully I found this site and was able to have peace of mind in minutes. Makayla is quick to respond and very friendly.
Never camped out on the riverbed before, very unique and fun. Tons of fire pits to choose from, and don’t forget to add on one of the many fun adventures that Makayla and the gang offer!

Absolutely loved our spot under the mother tree and the seclusion of the place. We took a sunset walk down to the creek and then up to the communal area for a stunning sunset over the farm and got to say hi to the horses. Pretty sure we were the only campers there for nye which was nice, great time had by all

This has been one of my favorite HipCamps I've ever stayed at. The host provided many things at the site that were very thoughtful, such as a hammer for tent stakes, and a small grill in addition to a portable firepit. I went with a friend, and we had a girl's campout with our 9 year old daughters, and everybody had a great time! Would highly recommend the Mother Tree site, which even with no leaves on the tree in the winter months that I visited, is an incredibly awe-inspiring site of a 700+ year old pecan tree. The tent area was flat, and the river was incredibly soothing to listen to at night. If you're thinking of booking it, go for it! I'll definitely go again.

I really enjoyed my time at the p2 farm. First off, the beautiful horses, the open land, the sweet puppies, the male and female sheep hip to hip couple, the 400 year old Mother Tree, the open starry sky, the river, to Makayla’s wonderful hospitality was everything I was hoping for when I booked. The bus was a plus since I did not have to do much camp set up and had my own space and refrigerator! It was nicely remodeled and very cozy even for 2 people and 3 mid sized dogs! Our dogs got to roam freely. I also got to view the campsites near the Mother Tree and the river bank which were very nice. There’s a large communal area for cooking and gathering. I highly recommend this place if you really want the farm life while roughing it as true camper! I got the luxury of having 80 degree weather during the day and 60 degree weather at night. Perfect for a fire. And this was in December! They also offer horse trail rides which I plan to do next time!

We had a great time camping at the mother tree site!! The site was so clean and beautiful! It felt super private but also not isolated. We also had decent luck with fishing the river! Would highly recommend!

Camping on a Horse Ranch

Large space with normal toilet. We stayed on the ranch side, which was closer to Makayla's house. There is also a river side which is more secluded. We utilized the fire pit, the bathroom, and some of the table space made available to us. The property was easy to find, and Makayla was reachable through phone calls. We did small daytrip into town, which was very close to the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend to others.

What a cozy little spot! My camp spot was in close proximity to the river, so you could hear the stream, sit right beside a large pecan tree, and hear a few song birds chirp. Great quick getaway for me!

Great private spot with awesome views and some really cute animals around the property. It was peaceful for the most part, though the dog did bark quite a bit in the evening. Still, overall a good stay, and I would stay again.

My friends and I had an absolute blast on the pasture mingle campsite. I will say though, if you’re looking for a lot of privacy, you’ll probably want to go with the mother tree location. Since this campsite is next to the barn where horse rides begin, there were people coming in and out a lot during our stay. Didn’t bother us, and we preferred being right up next to the horses, with two sheep roaming and playing around for us to watch. I’d recommend this spot to families with kids who like animals, and the mother tree location for people who want more of the private river spot. Overall we were very pleased.

Pasture Mingle Campsite
My girlfriend and I had a magical weekend at the ranch. It was easy to find- close to Georgetown which has a nice market on Saturdays- yet remote enough to stargaze. We rode horses and played with the goats, ponies, and a litter of 8 7-week old puppies. At night the hosts brought us plenty of firewood for our spot near the horse pasture. It was a very fun and friendly experience all around.

Beautiful farm! We can't wait to return and enjoy all of the amenities. The common area is fully loaded with every cooking device you'll ever need. The host was very friendly and accommodating.

Gorgeous piece of land! We pitched a tent at the RV spot and the views were gorgeous. The fire pit was great with the built in grill, making our campfire meals easy. The river was beautiful and clear and we had a blast catching fish and little frogs in our nets and cooling off. The animals were wonderful too, and my 6 year old son can’t stop talking about riding the horses! (The more reluctant 4 year old had fun too, even if he didn’t want to admit it.)
It was so sweet that they let us hang out with the new sweet litter of puppies as much as we wanted! If you’re staying here within the next few months, beware… you might accidentally take home a new family member!

We loved our weekend camping on Makayla’s land. The river is lovely and refreshing, and our site, under the Mother Tree, was shady and better than I could have imagined! In the evening we heard owls and other wildlife, which we loved. Our kids and dog were in outdoor heaven. We added on a sheepy visit for our two kids (4&1) and a trail ride for the older one and both were amazing experiences! Makayla also had a communal kitchen area with a microwave and a coffee maker and a sink to do dishes which was awesome. We would definitely come back to her property to camp again. Just an fyi to other campers, we did spot some poison ivy/oak around in the wooded area and near the campsite, so if you’re highly allergic I’d plan to wear boots and pants.

Camping under the mother tree was great. Lots of shade and very close to the river. We had big tents and from the photos we were concerned about space but there was ample room. The hosts (Makayla and Jacob) were wonderful. My little kids and I will be returning.

We absolutely loved this camp! Despite it being the victim of the recent flooding, the camp was clean and orderly, and surprisingly bug free (or as bug free as you can get camping). Saw the owners Makayla and her husband briefly on day 2 when they were leading a horseback group beside the camp but other than that it felt pretty secluded. The camp site itself is pretty pushed back so if you park your car in front, you're pretty blocked off. We loved that there was a place to rinse dishes and we could allow our dogs off leash from time to time. Absolutely wonderful stay, will be back again!

My dogs and I loved camping under the mother tree right by the river! We booked this fully aware of the impact the recent flooding has had on the area. However we were pleasantly surprised by the state of the property! It’s apparent that the hosts have put in work and are continuing to restore the area. The site is as described and we were very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

This is a very rural setting. Perfect for camping long term or for only a night. The kids will love the animals as well as the setting. The host are fantastic people who era willing to accommodate each person to their own needs.

The campground was very nice. There were several options for camping. The camp hosts were nice and very accommodating. There were even options for farm tours, the horses were beautiful and our daughter absolutely loved them. The camping spots felt very private with easy access to the river. The river had several places for little kids to play in the water and still be safe. There were other spots up and down river for the "bigger" kids to have fun too. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be camping here again.

I brought my 4 year old son for his first camping experience and this spot was perfect. It is feels isolated, but isn't far from the farm and road. We stayed the week after the July 4th flooding and, while there was some debris from fallen trees, the site was still great. My son loved meeting a horse, a goat, and a sheep - all sweet, well behaved animals. That is definitely a plus. Next time, we will fit in a pony ride.
I can't recommend the site enough. We will definitely be back.
