Welcome to our little piece of paradise! 55 acres of woods hidden near town. A network of trails criss-cross the creek and wind throughout the property under a peaceful canopy of large beautiful trees. Don't be surprised if you run into deer, squirrels, or roadrunners! Our property is home to a wide variety of hill-country wildlife. - Each of our campsites are private and surrounded by forest. - Each site has a fire ring for campfires - Our trees are our most precious natural resource and set this campground apart! Please don't do anything to harm them. - Port-o-john is available on site. - All of our campsites are primitive. No electric or water here. - When you camp with us you are welcome to explore and play on the entire property! We have 55 acres of trails and woods to explore! Please bring your bikes, trail shoes, or whatever helps you have fun in the wild! - Hammocks welcome! We have so many trees! All of our sites are hammock-friendly. - When you check-in, just text us, your host will help you find your campsite. - Some sites are drive-in where your vehicle can park right next to the fire. Others are walk-in and require a short hike of 100' or less from your parking space. You can indicate your preference during booking or at check-in. If you want to drive right into your site, Campsites 2, 3, 6, and 12 are the sites you want. Some of our campsites are more secluded than others and offer extreme privacy in the most beautiful settings we have to offer. If you're looking for a wilder campsite surrounded by huge old trees and all the peace the woods have to offer, just request Campsites 4, 5, 7, or 8. Each of these sites requires a walk of at least 50' from your vehicle to the fire ring. Site 13 is only for backpackers or people willing to hike about 500 yards to the campsite over rough terrain. There is no way to drive to it or even get close except on foot. But it is spectacular and beautiful! Only three sites can accommodate a smaller trailer or camper. Site 1, Site 2, and site 6. Please notify me in your booking if you intend to bring a camper and I can accommodate you. We practice leave-no-trace as much as possible. So please pack out anything you pack in. You are responsible for removing all trash. If any garbage is left behind in your site you will be billed for the cleanup. We have a dumpster located near the front gate. Please use it and put all your trash in there. Heads-up! We have a small farm on the property. Dogs are always welcome and we LOVE our furry friends! For their safety and the safety of our livestock please keep them leashed while on property.

Our most private and popular site. This site is a short 50' hike along a rock-lined trail from where you park. It is completely surrounded by tall shady trees and can easily accommodate groups up to 20 people with plenty of space to pitch up to 10 tents. Keep an eye out! The deer and wild hogs like to visit this site to graze on the sweet grasses that grow throughout.

ADVENTURE SITE! This is one of our most adventurous primitive sites hidden deeep in the property. This is a hike-in only site about 500 yards away from where you park. Then down a rocky dirt trail under a canopy of towering oaks and elms along the creekbottom until you come to the most private and secluded space we have to offer. A fire ring and space for up to four tents are surrounded by some of our most majestic trees.

This site is large and easy to access with plenty of space for up to ten tents and even has room to pull your vehicle all the way in for truck mounted pop-up tents and small tear-drops and sprinter-vans. Perfect for overlanding. This is the site the Boy Scouts always choose when they're camping with us because of its central location, large fire ring, and plentiful flat spots for pitching lots of tents.

Site 5 - Lost Woods Campground
We stayed at Campsite 5 at Lost Woods and had a great experience overall. It rained the first 2–3 hours after we arrived, but we were able to get our tent set up just in time and waited it out. The site included a picnic table, a campfire setup, two chairs, and a small grill, which made things really convenient. There were also a few little paths toward the back of the campsite that our little furbabies had fun exploring. It was pretty secluded and private, which we appreciated. You can hear some traffic at night, but it didn’t ruin the experience for us. We had a good time and would definitely stay here again.

Site 6 was tucked into a lovely tree lined thicket. And all was peaceful quiet. The dirt road going to the site was one on which to go slow with a trailer in tow. We’d go again to site 6.

We stayed in site 4, it was great. Nice level ground to pitch a tent, great fire pit, and picnic table. Well maintained road and port-a-potty. It was very close to my house so it was a great getaway for a weekend. We will definitely be back.

James is a super friendly and responsive host! We were on #8 which is great, quiet and clean. Def recommend a SUV to access this site (further away from the road).

Site 1 - Lost Woods Campground
The Lost Woods never disappoints!! I love the seclusion, the ease of reserving and getting settled, and most of all - the woods!! This is the perfect (and close) escape. The stars are bright, the camp is primitive (my favorite) and the trails are open and interesting. My 31 ft class b motorhome gets in and out with ease. OH, and the local delivery services deliver to the gate!!

Came here to test some new gear! Loved the privacy of the campsite. Communication was very easy, as well as locating the site. Explored the trails a little on bike and relaxed by the fire in a hammock! will come back for future weekend getaways!

I just love everything about this location. The ease of booking, the calm campers, fire pits and the primitive location. Nestled between neighborhoods yet close to everything-- Doordash even delivers to the gate. With a dumpster and Port O John, it's the perfect location.

The cost was a lot for nothing but a parking spot. Graveled narrow road not really a place for RV's. Only designed for tent camping.

Great experience. First time camping out doors with the family, not very far out and really accessible. We had called the owner and he quickly answered, definitely giving it a 5 star review. Only thing that would make it better, is haveing a little better directions to the camp sites, other than that, we will definitely be going back soon

We camped in Site 5 with the family, great little spot with an immersive forest feel only a short walk away from the parking spot. Table, chairs, and a bench were provided with the fire pit and grill! We all loved the cozy spot and would definably recommend. Only gripe is navigation was a tad challenging, additional signage may help. But will surely be looking on going back. Oh, and wild that is so close to civilization!

I have nothing but great feels for this patch of nature. I stayed a week. I enjoyed walks, peace and quiet and literal tranquillity along with campfires and cooking on the open pit. The best part was when the neighborhoods close by calmed down and it was nothing but stars, crickets, frogs and critters. I had the best time, and my cats enjoyed watching nature through the windows long after I fell asleep The Lost Woods are very primitive and in town, but I recommend 100 percent. Tent, camper or RV (31ft like me) go visit. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Perfect campsite for a solo camper!! Communication with James felt comfortable and responded in a timely manner. I stayed at campsite 6. Easy to find with James directions. Campsite felt comfortable and perfectly nestled in the trees.

Site 1 - Lost Woods Campground
Camping at Lost Woods Site #1 was a perfect last minute camping getaway. We were able to park 2-3 cars, have plenty of room for our tent, and cook and enjoy “caveman” tv (sitting around a fire, with the fire pit on site. The trails were an added bonus to enjoy. James was responsive and communicated immediately answering any of our questions. We have recommended Lost Woods to other friends.

Site 8 - Lost Woods Campground
I sleep in my truck topper so backing into the site was nice and easy. It's close to the nicer side of San Antonio but secluded at the same time. You can hear traffic during the day but it's dead silent at night. It's also far enough away that you can still see the stars. Plus, there's some friendly farm creatures in a pen near the site that are cute to check out! The trees are dense enough you can't see any other sites from your own too.

My experience communicating with James was awesome — he’s very informative, thorough, and helpful. Everything about the stay felt easy and welcoming. The amenities were great! I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-kept the port-a-potty was — it smelled fresh every time I used it. My favorite part was definitely the fire pit; it was absolutely wonderful. The campsite (spot #3) is big, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. There were even two chairs and a grill at my site, it was such a thoughtful touch. The layout of the land is great; the fire pit is set further back, so you get privacy even though the other lots are visible when you first drive in. Everything was easy to find, and the whole place just has a calm, beautiful energy. I car camped here and would definitely recommend bringing mosquito spray or a net for your vehicle — once that’s handled, it’s smooth sailing. This place is perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature.
