Hi there! I'm Chris, an Austin native, and happy to host you on my land. Travelers welcome! Hablo español. I'm on one acre of semi-sloped land surrounded by cedar and oak trees. There is a creek that flows through the middle of the property. I currently have two listings: 1. A camping deck for outdoor camping 2. Indoor tiny home cabin with loft ALL of my listings include the following: - Indoor bathroom with hot shower and off-grid waterless toilet - WIFI - access to electricity - propane grill - fire pit (subject to burn ban) - the opportunity to meet my dogs and Miss Piggy :) The property has a nice woodsy feel, yet very close to so many things! 5 minutes from Lakeway HEB 5 minutes from Jessica Hollis park on Lake Austin 5 minutes from Mansfield Dam park on Lake Travis 5 minutes from 24-hour gas station (711 on 620 and Hudson Bend) 5 minutes from downtown Lakeway and a zillion restaurants 7 minutes from laundromat 30 minutes from downtown Austin Walking distance to Don Marios Restaurant A little bit about me. Currently I own a small boat rental business. I used to be a university Spanish professor. I played guitar in a cover band and toured in China. I once rode from Austin to Dallas in the trunk of the car. I may tell a dad joke, apologies in advance. Me gusta bailar. Now that boat rental season is ending, I spend most of my time working on my property and spoiling my animals. I go out with friends from time to time. Happy to provide recommendations for fun, dining, nightlife etc.

      Camping Deck with indoor bathroom.
      Chill spot
      I stayed on Christopher’s tent pad for one night on my way through town. It was a nice spot tucked away on his property, and having access to the shower was great. Expect some road noise, but it’s nothing earplugs can’t fix. I didn’t meet the pig, and I regret not trying harder to do so.

      Cool spot/property set up
      Very cool property, a great spot to have a bonfire with my 3 buddies and was close enough to be worth it to drive into Downtown Austin and have a good night. Christopher was a respectful and fast responding host.

      Camping Deck with indoor bathroom.
      It was fine, but we would have appreciated a heads-up about the (extremely) loud neighbors. Granted it was New Years eve, but since we didn't know the area, we were not expecting non-stop fireworks and very loud music for hours. We did not sleep very well. It was out of the host's control, but we would have liked to be warned in advance.

      Loved camping on Chris's land. Beautiful scenery. Just outside of Austin and quite peaceful.

      Tiny home cabin & fire pit
      A solid place for an overnight 👍
      Definitely good for a quick overnight stay. I would say it’s a bit of a walk/climb to the campsite, which is fine if you don’t have too much stuff you’re bringing with you. (I was bringing a portable car fridge so it was definitely a bit of a workout to bring it across to plug it in.) Chris was very helpful with directions since I was checking in late. The accommodations were bare bones but all I needed for the night.
