Our hosts took extra time to ensure we got the perfect camping spot, and it really paid off! We caught fish in both ponds and enjoyed serenades from the local amphibious choir. The hosts are very knowledgeable about ecologically sensitive areas and marked multiple points of interest that helped guide our exploration. Thanks to these two great land stewards! Shout-out to Pluto, our camping companion.

We had an amazing time at Hilleetla! Alissa and David are wonderful hosts with a beautiful property, and their friendly dogs love joining you on little adventures.
The location is peaceful and quiet, making it a great place to disconnect and take in the sounds of nature. At night, the stargazing is incredible—you can see countless stars on a clear evening. We stayed for two nights, and the weather was perfect with very few mosquitoes.
The property itself offers diverse terrain and rich biodiversity, making it a great spot for exploring. The amenities were well thought out, including a composting toilet, shower, and convenient water spigots throughout the site.
Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We’d definitely recommend it!

I normally stay in the NF except during hunting season. This was a last minute trip. The property is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. I was the only one staying. The owner Alissa was quick to contact me with information and we were able to meet when I arrived. I booked for two nights but only stayed one and it was awesome. I stayed near the pond located in the back of the property. Two of her dogs hung out with me until I went to bed then came back and had coffee with me the next morning, lol. Would definitely recommend staying.

Our recent camping stay at Hilleetla was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from our hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, always available to offer tips and share stories about the beautiful farm and its surroundings.
The location itself is breathtaking, surrounded by stunning landscapes that provided us with a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We spent our days exploring scenic trails, enjoying the tranquility of nature, and soaking in the picturesque views. The starry nights were an absolute highlight, offering a perfect backdrop for cozy campfire gathering.

My group loved it here at Hilleetla. We loved exploring the land and catching bass out in the pond. Alissa sent detailed maps of the property before arrival which was so useful! They have 4 dogs. 3 that made a one time appearance and 1 that probably stayed with us 80% of the time 😂 Pluto is a big puppy who wants to play but eventually calms down. When it was night time we messaged them to take him away and they did.
We didn’t notice much bugs which was nice. It is dark on the land and the sky is beautiful with no light poles around to stop the bright stars from shining. My group even got to see the satellite starlink train pass by which was pretty cool. We definitely plan on coming again and have been telling people about this beautiful land

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hilleetla. The land is beautiful very well taken care of and the host are just as wonderful. We met Alissa when we first arrived and she pointed out some good camping spots. She guided us to our spot and it was private and lovely. We enjoyed fishing and seeing so many different birds and bugs. The kids had a blast with nature. They have dogs but the pups are well behaved and if you do have an issue with them being around just a quick message to Alissa and she will help out. We enjoyed being alone and not being bothered by the host. Unless we needed something we didn’t see them. I highly recommend trying out Hilleetla. The views are amazing, the hikes are fun and the host are very knowledgeable about the different plants and what to stay clear of.

Alissa was an incredible host! Her property is beautiful, and the pictures showcased it to a T.
We came out for three days, two nights. Pluto (one of her dogs) hung out with us majority of the time. Pluto acted as a guardian for us throughout the night while the Coyotes were around.
Definitely plan on coming back again!

Lovely property with two ponds, wildlife and lots to explore. We had it all to ourselves, which was great, except that it was too hot during the day to walk around much! Alissa was very communicative and provided lots of info about the site. Toilet and shower were clean and well maintained (although we didn't quite manage to get more than lukewarm water out of the shower). Would recommend for a quiet stay.

My family and I loved tent camping on Alissa's beautiful land. The scenery is breathtaking! It was our first ever camping trip and I'm so glad we chose Hilleetla! The restroom and shower were clean and a short uphill walk. We were secluded down by the clay pit. I highly recommend using the canoe by the Lily Pad Lake. We spent a few hours there just taking in the beauty of the property. I was in a state of pure bliss while my wife paddled me around the lake. We actually hiked down there twice to use the canoe and swim. Making core memories there with my daughter is something I'll cherish forever 💖 Thank you Alissa and David for sharing your hidden gem with us. We will definitely return!!

This is the second time I've camped here, up on the hill with a view over the trees and up to the stars. It's the perfect place to be free, in peace and quiet with just the sound of wildlife and the wind. I leave here feeling recharged and grounded with new insights.

The place was really gorgeous with sandbars, clear streams of water, stone benches, tall trees and a huge pond. Alissa was very hospitable. She helped me with starting my bonfire and choosing a nice spot close to waters as I prefer that. Her dog stayed at my camp overnight and was very friendly 😃. The place was clean and quiet and is the perfect place to enjoy bird watching. Their organic eggs are the best and is a must try.

I tent camped here on top of a hill and it was so nice. It was a peaceful and private escape with incredibly diverse wildlife, plants and animals everywhere. There was diverse topography too, which I appreciated. The environment was so healthy and balanced. Everywhere I looked there was some neat little critter doing it's thing recycling nature.
I watched the sun go down and the moon come up through the trees on the hill and went to sleep with the croaking of frogs and the loeing of cattle in the distance. The farm fresh eggs with olive oil around the campfire was so delicious. I left feeling energized!
Check out this hidden gem! Places like this are few and far between where the owners work so hard to make something humans and animals can enjoy.

This place was amazing, the views were really nice, a big plus having a hot shower in the middle of the adventure! it has all that we were looking for, my kids had the chance to go fishing that was a big deal for them, they also loved feeding the chickens. The hosts were great, 100% recommended!

What a great experience. There's a lot of great spots to pitch a tent and the property is large enough to feel like you're the only one camping. The property is full of life and felt like nature is all around you. We loved watching the ducks and geese fly in and land in the lake every evening. Our two girls spent hours playing by the creek. Looking forward to a return visit!

It was a great place to camp with kids in tow. We all had a good time and camped by the glass pond. You can camp anyplace you like as long as it does not disturb others. Alissa met us at the drive up to their home on property and handed us our chicken feed. Was told to have a great time and to enjoy ourselves. Shower is great, potty is a so so for us big butters but an awesome way to return to the earth! It's a 2 to 5 min walk from the Glass pond to the potty. The kids enjoyed the live birds, the dogs and the use of the aluminum canoe. Please turn it upside down after use! I would recommend this for first time campers or hardened campers as well. The Lily pond has small to medium big mouth bass. I caught a couple and lost a few. Thank you very much Alissa! Even though we got rained on hard, it was a great place and we all had a great time meeting you, David and the fur babies! It's true, the dogs will listen to you when you say Go Home! Maybe we shall come back again sometime! You have a beautiful place! Appreciate the hospitality!

Hilleetla is beautiful. It is everything you could want in a weekend getaway. The landscape was good exercise for us and everything was beautiful. The hosts David and Alissa are gracious and kind. They brought help when we were rained on and really got the full experience. David even helped us when my car battery died. The 2 ponds are great for fishing and paddling, they have a canoe for your use. The different types of trees, flowers, critters, geese and chickens were all really neat to see.
All in all we had a great time and plan to return. On this trip was just us, but we plan to bring the kids and friends next time.
There are no complaints or critiques at all, we had a wonderful time. Thank you both for sharing your land with us!

10 out of 10! Beautiful place. We came with our 2 kids (under 10) and we all had a blast. The lakes, the forest, the open fields, and nature, it does not get much better! The lakes provided good fishing and a were fun to swim ( cold water!!!)
I’m already planning to come back, either as a family, couple, or with a group of friends!

We enjoyed our stay at Hilleetla. Alissa was a really nice host and quickly responded to any question we had. You can tell they care a lot about their property. The property is very well maintained and the ecosystem there is thriving. We saw lots of bees, butterflies and hummingbirds in Alissa’s garden. It was over all a great experiences. We will definitely be back!
