Camping Near Hamilton Pool
We had a wonderful stay at Sheri and Johnnie’s property. They both came to greet us when we arrived and were incredibly welcoming. They even offered to look after our dog while we visited Hamilton Pool, which was so thoughtful. It was a perfect experience - 10/10, we’ll be back!

Sheri and Johnny were extremely kind and hospitable hosts. We enjoyed the privacy of the campsites that were available (couldn’t see any of the other guests unless you went looking)! Very convenient if you’re looking to visit Hamilton pools which is just five minutes away. Also our favorite point was that it’s in an area with little/less light pollution from the city and so we were able to get really nice stargazing views!

Great spot to camp with my boys and hit both Hamilton Pool for a dip and Reimers Ranch for some good hiking. Hosts were very nice and accommodating. Outdoor shower and the end of the trip was a nice touch too. Thanks. Hope to be back

We had such a wonderful experience staying here! The couple who runs the campsite was so kind and welcoming. They took the time to walk us around when we arrived and made sure we felt comfortable, which I really appreciated since this was my very first camping trip and I had no idea what to expect. They gave us lots of helpful suggestions for things to do in the area, and we ended up doing most of them—we were so glad we did! The site itself had running water, which made things even easier. Overall, it was such a warm and memorable experience, and I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a welcoming and peaceful place to camp.

Sheri and Johnnie were both great hosts. They checked on us multiple times throughout our stay and were very kind. The land is very nice, super close to Reimers as well and you must checkout the outdoor shower!! Overall would definitely recommend!

Once again, another great stay on an amazing property. This time I brought my friends and our dogs and stayed in one of the bigger campsites. The hosts offered suggestions for swimming spots and checked in to see if we needed anything. Quick response time, incredible outdoor shower, and amazing hosts on a sweet piece of land. What more could you ask for?

Sheri was such an amazing host and I loved talking and getting to know them! Such a beautiful soul. The location was absolutely beautiful and I wasn’t expecting to have such an array of items like a grill, tongs, spatula, etc! I feel in love with the rustic beauty of the campground and it had such a “ homey “ vibe! It was everything I wanted in an outdoor getaway from work and life! They informed me about Reimer park and the river there is absolutely beautiful and a must see! I plan on returning asap!!

Amazing. Two of the nicest people I’ve ever meet. Sheri makes you feel like you just ran into an old friend. Their land is beautiful and set up perfect. The outdoor shower is the best I’ve ever had. I would recommend to anyone who asks and definitely look forward to staying there in the future. It was good for the soul. The land has a wonderful energy to it.

Stayed here on multiple occasions and had a great time, every time. Each campsite is the perfect distance from one other- you won't see much of fellow campers, but you may hear a stray laugh from another campfire every so often. Dogs are welcome, and love the scenery. Each site is thoughtfully set up to include tables, a fire pit, and a grill ready for charcoal among other amenities. Sheri and Johnnie are awesome hosts and kind people. Can't recommend enough.

Sheri and her partner Johnnie were wonderful hosts. They gave us a lovely tour of their property and made my partner and I feel right at home. The campsite is quiet, cozy, fully stocked with everything you need. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

This place was so private, secluded, and peaceful! They have several amenities set up for you. The communication was great. We did not end up using the composting toilet, opting to go down the street to the gas station less than 10 minutes away. I had one of the best showers of my life in their outdoor shower! So refreshing after a hike. The location is less than half an hour from Bee Cave, and extremely close to Hamilton Pool and Milton Reimers Ranch Park. The weather was perfect while we were there. The stars are so visible out there!! It was the perfect quick get away!

This is my go-to spot! Been here six times over the past few years and will definitely be keeping that tradition up. Awesome hosts and and property with plenty of breathing room and privacy between sites.

Couldn’t ask for more polite hosts. Sheri and Johnnie were great. We had our 3 younger kids with us and Sheri/Johnnie knew they had a birthday party camping crew coming that night. They moved us to the very back of property so we wouldn’t be disturbed.
I needed a tool to fix something on my trailer so I reached out to Johnnie to see if he had what I was looking for and no more than 10mins later Johnnie pulls up. Asks what wrongs and begins to help fix the trailer. Never hesitated just asked what I needed and began to fix. I was just hoping to use it for a few minutes not to have him fix it for me 😁.
You couldn’t ask for a better location if you want to check out Hamilton pool or Reimer Ranch. It’s literally right down the street.
All in all great people great location and I’d go back

Sheri’s place is great. The sites are really well set up with plenty of space and shade. The outdoor shower is lovely we will go back to try the jacuzzi. Sheri is a lovely host and very helpful.

Shari's land was very clean, nice, and cozy. Shari is a wonderful sweet host and helped me with my jump in the morning. I left the lights on in my jeep and the battery died. Thank you for coming to the rescue!
I think it's important to note that Sheri's land is set up for a certain type of visitor who may be new to camping or needs a lot of amenities to be comfortable. I've been to 15 different hipcamps and it's hard to know how things are until you check out for yourself because everyone likes different things.
Pros: I think this hipcamp is perfect for someone who wants to camp out close to Hamilton pool and riemers ranch parks. It's also great if you don't want to bring a table, water, hammocks, fire pit, water hose, etc because they pretty much provide everything for you.
Cons: If you are seeking a total natural experience in nature without human construction or human interaction, this place is not for you folk. The campsites are relatively close to other campsites. You will hear chatter from other people and Sheri will be checking in on you which is lovely, but I know some folks here don't want to be bothered in their nature wellness. Some campsites are pretty small and tight and you may not be able to clear out all the things they provide for you so you can set up your own gear. I had to camp out by the main road. Honestly, my campsite had too much stuff throughout the site for me to move out, and I think some stuff was chained up to the trees so there was no way.

Amazing experience! Sheri and her husband were very kind and welcoming. Site was large and private. Peaceful. Enjoyed having my 3 daughters feed the neighbors donkeys. Perfect place, would recommend and would come back again!
