72+/- acre hunter's/fisher's paradise/working farm on Caddo Creek, South of Tyler Texas. This property is the perfect combination of pasture and woods, loaded with beautiful mature trees, and has a large pond away from the highway for quiet and solitude. Activities: Pick pecans or blackberries, watch the wildlife, pet the sheep, go fishing...plenty of space for all your camping activities. We have 1 electrical hook up or spend the night under the stars near the pond in a tent. This is a disabled/veteran owned working regenerative farm. We have a RV for rent if that is your style. Our trip on Christopher’s land was fantastic! The property was beautiful and a wonderful escape from the city. The pond was a really nice element, and we manage to catch a perch and a bass before a cold front came in. Christopher was very attentive and even brought us extra firewood when we requested it after arrival! His hospitality was extraordinary. The process was very simple and I would certainly return to this spot in the future.

This was an absolutely splendid place to stay! The owner is incredibly nice and the space is so peaceful and calming. I’m so glad I found this little hidden gem, we will most definitely be back!

Beautiful nature and native wildlife. Tom gave us a tour of his animals, explain what they do, and let us hold a baby lamb! Definitely one of favorite camping trips ever and can't wait to come back.

Excellent lugar para acampar a 400 metros de la carretera muy tranquilo y un hermoso río rodeado de árboles y campo. Íbamos de pasada viajando en nuestras bicicletas y nos respondió al instante y dio todas las indicaciones para llegar al lugar y elegir nuestro spot.

I've been to Caddo several times and always had a great time. Todd is a fantastic host and works hard to make the sites comfortable. Site 6 is right next to the pond which provides a great morning coffee setting. The farm also offers good for sale so don't forget to ask for the menu. I personally recommend the pickles, pear butter and any preserves they have. Eggs are a nice size and very fresh. Caddo is an easy drive from DFW yet far enough to feel like a road trip. Didn't skip this listing.

I had a great time camping and fishing with my friends in Christopher’s property. The land itself was very peaceful and stunning. Christopher was a very accommodating host and always ensured that we were not short on any supplies, he even brought us eggs from his farm to cook for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this site for anyone trying to unwind and truly enjoy a peaceful time in nature.

This spot was incredible! The host was super helpful and friendly. The pond is teaming with fish. My son had the greatest time. Each cast he would pull up another fish. Peaceful and beautiful.

This campsite was AMAZING! Christopher’s farm is wonderful and has sweet animals, fresh fruit that you can pick and eat, and the perfect peaceful environment. Also great stargazing! Christopher was a great host and I would come back and camp here anytime.

Pilgrimage to Totality

My dogs and I were headed in our van bus for a rendezvous in Dallas for the 2024 Total Eclipse. We stopped mid-way to camp at Caddo Springs Farm and it was truly an immersive experience for the soul. Upon entering the property, our eyes were immediately drawn to the sea of colorful wildflowers as we were greeted by Danny with a Cajun welcome and a handful of fresh farm eggs. The scene expanded onto a grassy campsite with a winding creek amidst the shady trees. I plied my skills with the fishing pole while the dogs frolicked in the cool water. As the sun began to set on our first camping adventure, we gazed into the flickering fire under the Texas stars and drifted off to a dreamy slumber counting sheep.

This is the best campsite I have been to, without a doubt. I have camped at Caddo Spring Farms 7 times and already have my next visit booked. It is not only the spectacular site but also the host. Since this is a working farm there is always some action to watch and animals to listen to. There is even one rooster that is very proud of his flock and often spends much of the day bragging about it. The host is often see darting back and forth while doing farm chores. You can really see the care taken and respect he shows has for his land. The campsite is giant and plenty of room and options for multiple tents - perfect for a family or group outing. Make sure you bring a firepit because there are no ground fires allowed. The campsite faces east (at least I face it that way) which overlooks the pond and adjacent meadow with a giant Oak tree in the middle. The sunrises are amazing; you can see the dew turn to low fog, occasional rabbits running across the meadow and even some bird of prey action. The pond, the site's centerpiece, has bass, panfish and catfish. I have personally caught 2 bass and plenty of crappie. I have spent many a relaxing moment by this pond and look forward to many more. The location of this site is ideal for D\FW residents. It is far enough away to feel 'out of town' but close enough that it doesn't feel like a full road trip. This is also a great campsite for start gazing since it does get very, very dark out there.

Nice, quiet farm with plenty of animals to see and places to explore. The host was very friendly and even took time to show us around and let us meet all the animals. The description is accurate in that there are no facilities. The host said he has a fire pit you can borrow, if needed.

I was at Caddo Springs Farm for the Oct annular eclipse and it was one of the best weekends I have ever had. This site is one of the most peaceful and beautiful I have ever camped at. The pond, once again, provided me with some great catches including my PB Bass! As always, the host is very nice and more than happy to help where he can. I have already visited multiple times and I will continue to visit in the future.

This spot has everything you are looking for. You get to camp next to a beautiful pond and the fish are plentiful. I caught 2 bass and a whole smattering of panfish. Todd, the host, is so friendly and happy to help. Make sure you ask to see the sheep, they do not disappoint. The onsite rooster will be sure to let you know when it is time to wake up. This spot has plenty of space for multiple tents and great views.

We loved tent camping on Christopher’s land! The property was beautiful and the instructions were clear. Christopher was super easy to get a hold of and was soo helpful! He even came out and brought us some fresh eggs!! We’ll definitely be returning here! We saw tons of fish in the pond too but didn’t fish. Christopher also allowed us to build a fire and allowed us to come in later at night since we went to a fest in the day.
