Great experience! Stayed for a night. Beautiful view even in the winter. Felt safe. I stayed at spot 1 and I think there was another empty spot next to me. Tons of area to walk - it was great. Dog loved it too

It was nice having the mountain view as we were enjoying the cozy fire on site #1. I would definitely recommend site #1 from the other 3 sites. Also the host Stephen was really nice and quick to answer our messages and he even helped us jump start our car the next morning.

Highly recommended. The camp setup is great for both tent or RV camping. The view was amazing especially during fall with the foliage. The area is calm and peaceful. They have a portalet and it is clean and smells nice. There is also a free firwewood and wifi. The camping site is also near sugarloaf ocoee state park and smoky mountain. We would definitely come back to camp again.

I really enjoyed my weekend camping on Stephen’s property! It was a little tricky getting there and getting my camper parked after dark but once I did, everything went smoothly. I am thankful I had 4WD, as it is quite steep. The view the next morning was incredible and it was such a peaceful site, but lots to do in the area. I would definitely stay again!

This is a perfect spot. It’s got it all: pretty view, easy accessibility yet with a remote vibe, only four well kept sites surrounded by woods, and water, electricity and sewer. We had no problem getting our single axle camper up the hill, and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks, Stephen.

Site 1: The View
This was a beautiful campsite. There are four sites total in the area, but other than the other campers, it is very secluded. It has beautiful mountain views, and is just minutes from the Ocoee River and lake! Be sure to check out Benton Falls if you camp here! Each campsite has a fire pit and a water spigot! I would definitely book this site again!

This was a great site with some thoughtful amenities! Stephen was quick to respond to a couple of questions that I had prior to check in. He also allowed us to check in a couple hours early, which was greatly appreciated. He shared that these sites are fairly new for him and his wife and they are really starting to build something great. They have water and electricity at the sites and firewood available. We stayed at site three. Loved that it faced the woods. Don’t love the slope down to the fire pit. It got very slippery when it rained and we almost took several diggers. Other than that great location, great host, quiet and private. We will be back!

We really loved camping at Stephen’s View1 site over the July 4th weekend! It was clean, quiet, secluded, and well-maintained. The onsite port-a John was an added bonus :) We really enjoyed meeting Stephen when he came to greet us on the morning after our arrival. We highly recommend this location. Our only point of caution would be to ensure that you use four-wheel-drive on the gravel approach road to the site as it’s steep in places and has a couple of switchbacks. We will definitely be back!

Steven’s site is new and a work in progress. What he has done so far is great. The trees provide excellent shade and the site is quiet and secluded. The power was exactly 60 cycle and stable. Water pressure was exactly 30psi and abundant. The approach road is well kept but consider applying 4x4 when you leave the pavement to keep from rutting his expensive gravel especially if you are towing. Great job Steve. Can’t wait to see what more you do to the site.

We were looking for a quiet, scenic setting for a few nights. We found two hip camp sites near Ocoee, TN. One was ocoee ridge camp, and the other Smith Mountain camping. Smith mountain offered more assurance that our 32’ class C rv would make the gravel inclines up to the sites. He was correct. We made it up with minimal effort, and were greeted by a nice level site (the view site 1) with water and electric. The site offered complimentary fire wood and a port a potty as well. We enjoyed playing catch, looking down the valley to the Smokies, a brilliant sunset that bathed the hills in brief but vibrant golden warm light. We would definitely come back next time we visit Ocoee area. A few recommendations i might offer would be 1) to trim some more trees along the edge of the View site to allow a wider view of the mountains 2) consider adding some round corner mirrors at the switchback turns to allow a better view of any oncoming traffic. We were greeted by the owner who showed genuine interest in hearing our thoughts and input on the location. He was pleasant, friendly, and offered some recommendations on what to explore while in the area. We took his advice to explore the middle Ocoee River area, which was the site of the 1996 Olympics. It was a blast walking the rocks and riverside, taking in beautiful views and encountering lots of local wildlife. We even crossed paths with a few water moccasin, so be mindful of your steps!

My friend and I were looking for a place to tent camp this weekend and I happened to come across Stephen’s campsite—fortunately for us, the site with a view of the surrounding mountains was available. Stephen was a great host, checked in with us via the app when we arrived & made sure that we had everything we needed for the weekend. The port-a-potty was clean and conveniently located, firewood is available on-site, and because there are only 4 sites, this is a super peaceful place to spend a weekend. The location is very convenient too, because you’re only half a mile from the main highway. If you’re looking for a chill, quiet, peaceful place to camp in the Ocoee area, definitely check out Stephen’s place—it’s just beautiful!! Our only regret was that we didn’t get to stay for the last night because we got rained out, but we will be back!

We had the awesome honor of being the first visitors! Definitely would highly recommend. Super easy to find and get to. If you are adventuring in Ocoee you will not find a better location to stay! Stephen was extremely accommodating for our last minute reservation. The view was wonderful and the added bonus was the porta potty on site....which i think I was the first to use because it was so dang clean and smelled nice. Highly recommend this stop. Hopefully we will be returning soon! Thanks for a great pit stop!
