The site was as promised and nestled into a nice view of forest all around. Quiet and peaceful!

Tammy and her husband Richard were such wonderful hosts !! It was such a wonderful experience. The views were absolutely gorgeous. You were at the top of there a little mountain and can see so much even when it is cloudy. Their hospitality and graciousness was amazing. I look forward to being able to return again to see them. They were very down to earth and I love talking with them over hot tea and coffee. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone. The experience was so peaceful and they are two dogs were so loving and gave me great joy.

I loved staying the night at this spot in the Tennessee countryside. The location was easy to find using the directions provided. The road was well maintained. The site I chose was perfect for my van, and relatively flat for being grass. They had another site further in the woods as well better suited for tents. The best part was the free wood! I had a lovely fire all night. Would definitely recommend, way more private than a campground. And the stars at night were spectacular.

The property is amazing, the hosts are some of the most welcoming you’ll ever find, and i would 100% stay there again! Bathroom and shower were so clean, and soooo very nice the next morning before hitting the road. This was an amazing experience and i would definitely suggest the site to anyone that loves camping and meeting great people.

Beautiful private location, with some amazing views from the yard of the house. Mrs. Tami was so sweet to us and especially my boys!! Would highly recommend staying here! We will be back.

My partner and I loved spending a night at Tami’s place! Well kept and beautiful place with plenty of space between each campsite. Tami shows what’s true southern hospitality is like. She made sure we had everything we needed and helped us set up our tent in the dark. The bathroom was very clean and there were plenty of towels and extra bath products. We personally love animals so we loved connecting with the dogs (Shebe and Short Dog 💚) as well as seeing and hearing the horses and cows. Thank you Tami for a wonderful first night on our roadtrip cross country.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. The campsites are private and spacious. Firewood is also offered, which I really enjoyed! One of the hosts, Richard, greeted me when I arrived and showed me around. He was very kind and wonderful to talk to! He knows so much about the area and has a ton of recommendations for hikes and places to see. The bathroom was very nice as well. Definitely hope to make it back to this spot.

We had a wonderful time at this campsite. We booked both By The Road campsites to make sure we had privacy. There were no other campers there on this weekend. The site was perfect for my group of 5 campers and 4 tents. The ground was level enough to accommodate all our tents and a 10x10 canopy near the long picnic table. And we had a space for 4 vehicles to park. There was a charcoal grill, but we chose to use the firepit to do our cooking. I brought my grill grate and used it over the fire. They had plenty of firewood under a tarp (to keep it dry) for our stay. They also provided a 5gal water tote with water for our use. The one con about this site was access to a restroom. It was a good uphill walk to the house. We did take our vehicles up on occasion, which the host had no problem with. And they were very welcoming into the common area of their home for us to use the restroom and shower. The hosts were very friendly and we loved chatting with them. Their place is a paradise.

The stay was great and was the perfect stop on our roadtrip! There was plenty of views, farm animals, and some wildlife to see as well. The campsite is secluded enough to feel like you are out in the wild. Would love to come back!

The views from Tami's property are amazing and she is such a lovely host. As it was due to storm the night I was staying and I was bikepacking she invited me to stay inside in the warm and dry, which was totally above and beyond. I really loved my time at Morning Star and would highly recommend it.

Amazing property (and hosts).! Very private and easy to access with good proximity to hiking and the Natural Tunnel area. Hosts are extremely knowledgeable about area!!! Gonna miss the pups💜.

Tent camping on Tami’s property is gorgeous. There were so many stars! And it’s very private feeling. It ended up being a near freezing night, and Tami went out of her way to bring us over some firewood.

Such a beautiful place to be observe wildlife, connect and connect with nature The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel at home. Their property will absolutely bathe your soul if you are looking for a place to connect and detox. We just wish we wasn’t so limited on time so we could have communicated and explored more.
We will be planning another trip back soon!

Amazing property and wonderful hosts. The views were absolutely stunning. Just breathtaking. Plenty of room to camp, park, and play outdoor games. It’s very private and quiet. The loudest thing you will hear are the bulls calling to each other every now and again. Tami and her husband are extremely kind and welcoming. The common bathroom and shower were wonderful and exceptionally clean. We can’t wait to go back!

What an amazing place to stay! The views from this property are incredible - you can see multiple states and beautiful mountains and land. Tami and Richard are so lovely. They welcomed us in to their impressive home for a tour and use of the bathroom, kitchen, and living space. We were so happy to have hot showers with towels, a fire pit with wood and grill to cook, and coffee in the morning from their kitchen. We were the only folks camping that night and parked on their beautiful yard by the side of the house with an unbelievable view of the mountains. Highly recommend this spot!

This was such an amazing place to escape to for the weekend. They have a ton of space and it’s well off the main road so you just hear crickets as you’re falling asleep. The hosts were such great people and made me feel very welcomed and safe. I will absolutely be back and would recommend everyone looking to stay in this area to stay here!

My mother and I had such a fantastic week at Morning Star! The location is beautiful and quiet. There is quite a bit of wildlife. So many birds and even got a glimpse of some deer passing through. It is fairly easy to get to and there are gas stations and a store within 15 minutes from camp. Tami and Richard are the best! Very helpful and tentative. This campsite will be a go to for mom and I on return trips to visit family.
