Well, I clicked the wrong thing for my review (hands don't always work right due to neurological issues).
I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a small group looking to get away for a night or two. The host and her family were absolutely amazing for letting me camp near them instead of in the tobacco field since I was a alone and it was the only option I had through the website to book
It was my first time camping in a holler. I prefer camping near lakes, somewhere secluded, with friends but my health makes it difficult to go to my favorite spots. Martha was very sweet and very accommodating for a last minute rental. The whole process was easy and pleasant.

Miss Martha was an extremely nice and very friendly hostess. Her property is very clean, well maintained and in my wife's opinion adorable. She has 2 helpers, orlowa and oreo that will happily take your trash out for you, just don't ask where because orlowa doesn't even know. Lol. But all jokes aside, very nice place to stay, miss Martha is very accommodating and has many things you may have forgotten for you trip. I highly recommend it if your a first time camper like myself and I will definitely be back!

First off, Martha "Mammaw" is an excellent communicator. I called to let her know I has missed my turnoff, and she quickly came to lead me to the "Holler". Natural beauty and whimsical property. The camping spots are rustic and primitive. Martha offered me every amenity and even offered to fill a solar bag up with hot water if we wanted to shower. Work is being done to tidy up after Helene. Fallen trees have been cleared and the camping sites are clean. We fell in love with the history of the property. Its clear that Martha is in love with the land and is happy to share it with you. She showed us the creek where she used to play in as a child and showed my son some baby crawdads and baby salamanders. The highlight of our visit, besides Martha, was meeting Winston.....a blind senior, rescue horse. He is amazing, gentle, and patient. We gave him some carrots that we brought and quickly made friends. I didn't see any Sasquatch in the area this time, but maybe next. My son already wants to go back.

Our reservation was made late at night but Martha was available, clearing the path to campsite and sharing love and generosity. She is a sweetheart and we highly recommend camping here! It was a natural camping area, with calming noises to fall asleep too.

My dog got REALLY sick the day I was supposed to camp, so I never ended up going. Host was really kind and understandable. Cannot wait to re-book and try again!

Martha was wonderful and took the time to take our kids on a quad tour of the property. The land itself was nice enough but there was no creek to dip toes in and the pond was a little underwhelming. But waking us in the holler near Winston the horse had its charms. And Martha’s hospitality makes up for the rest.

I was at the wrong location and Martha took the time to drive to me and lead the way towards her property at 10 pm at night. Martha was very nice and sweet from the start. We had 3 different places we could set up our camp and even sleep in one of her RVs that she had. Had fire wood ready for us and told us to make our self's feel at home. A lot of adventuress things to do on her property. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

“Martha’s holler” is absolutely amazing. She was very accommodating and so sweet. It’s a beautiful property. I was looking for primitive camping and this was the perfect fit. All her neighbors and furry friends were lovely. I highly recommend staying here!

Nice and peaceful area for camping. Martha was very accommodating and helped us settle in even though we couldn't arrive until night. She brought us water and firewood to use. We had a lovely time. I would suggest a sign at their property because there are many neighbors at the cross section and we didn't want to bother them.

Martha was a great host. She rescued us late at night after we got a bit lost up a slightly sketchy hill. Her holler is truly a holler and we were at the farthest back site which was nice and private. We did have dog and goat visitors which was entertaining.

I enjoyed my stay at Martha' holler. She was very friendly and made me feel at home. I felt very safe and had my own private area which is quiet. I enjoyed the goats, ducks, doggie, and horse as well! I love camping within walking distance of cute animals. Makes me feel like I had cute landmates to keep me company. :)

Martha was accommodating when we had to book last minute during our road trip. She answered our call very late and took her time to show us her land when we arrived late at night. The space we pitched our tent was very comfortable and beautiful to wake up to in the morning.
Hipcamp for the win! I will certainly use this platform again and hopefully see Martha in the future.

Tent camping at Martha's was a wonderful experience. I was provided a few options for where I could set up and chose a nice little spot next to a pond. I was visited by a couple goats and a dog and they were content to hang out for a while. Martha was nice enough to provide some dry storage for my firewood while I was away at the track (because rain was definitely in the forecast and I did not prepare). It's a nice quiet area, only 15 minutes from the speedway and 30 minutes from downtown Bristol. If you like a simple, primitive environment, this is a great one!

OMG!!! Where do I start. We had a GREAT host. She was very hospitable and caring. I felt like I came home to camp and my grandma's house. Martha is the BEST and I loved all the animals!

Martha’s holler was a perfect weekend getaway for my friends and I! She was quick to offer help whenever we needed it. We had such a good time enjoying the beautiful property and all of her cute animals. I recommend a vehicle with 4 wheel drive if you think it might rain, but even if you don’t have that, Martha would gladly take you back to the campsite in her side by side.
Plenty of trees for hammock camping and some good flat spots for tents if that’s more your style.
