Kurt's spot was easy to access and had everything we needed. He was a great host and ensured we had what we needed. I'd love to come back and have a bit more time to enjoy this location! A great find!

Kurt is an amazing host in more ways than one. After I texted him saying we were set to arrive in our RV in the middle of the night, he gave detailed instructions on where to park. Not only that, but he congratulated us via text after he awoke on the good job of parking in the dark, since we had already left for the Buffalo Round up in our car. We reserved the site for two weeks but our son was with us and he was anxious to get home after being away for months hiking the Continental Divide Trail. We left after only five days and Kurt graciously agreed to refund us. He was so understanding and even spoke to my husband in person.
The site is amazing because it is in the middle of the countryside with no other RVs. Accommodations were excellent...great wifi. We highly recommend this host/site and hope to return in the future.

This was a great little place to spend a few days. Kurt was very friendly and also very accommodating. I give this hip camp, a 4.9 out of five. The reason why I wouldn’t go to a five it would’ve been nice to have a shower. That said I still signed up to rent the spot, knowing that they did not have it.

Kurt’s land is beautiful. He graciously helped me get my trailer properly positioned and offered any other assistance I might need. I had a little trouble getting to the location, but that was due mostly to my fear of getting stuck somewhere I’d have to turn around. On a previous trip I’d ended up on a dead end road and it took some time to get out of it so I was gunshot.

Loved this Hip Camp. Quiet, secluded and very convenient for exploring Custer State Park and surrounding area. World definitely stop here again when in the area. Great host.

We were warmly welcoming on the property and Kurt checked in from time to time to make sure we had everything we needed. The property is well cared for and would make a great base for all your Black Hills exploring.

What a welcome stop this was. Beautiful, peaceful and private. This was our 6th stop on a 12 stop 3000+ mile road trip and one we have enjoyed the most. We started in the southwest where most of the campsites we had were on dirt or gravel.
Kurt was super easy to communicate with, very responsive and he met us at the driveway to direct us to our spot.
We would definitely pick this place again if we are in the area.

Beautiful stop and conveniently located! Cousins used the property next to us and it worked out so nicely for us. Kurt was in touch whenever we needed him and stopped to chat often, which was fun for our group! Our well behaved dog was well received which helped us a lot!

Nice, quiet property that's very close to Custer. Kurt was a great host. Easy to communicate with and was super accommodating as we came in pulling a trailer in addition to our Van. We are use to boondocking in the wilderness, so it was a little different for us to be so close to someone's home. However it was very peaceful. They have a real nice little set up!

Kurt's home is privately located. He has a small rental cabin which is sharing the area with the one RV spot. it is by itself and the electric and sewer are conveniently placed. It is a quiet area with picnic type table and Adirondack type chairs to relax by the first ring. Good guest Wi-Fi also.
His home is EXTREMLEY well positioned for Custer, Keystone and Hill City, as well as Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, The Needles and Custer State Park, South Dakota.

Everything was perfect! The location was very peaceful and quiet. We ended up staying an extra night to explore more in the Black Hills and Sylvan Lake/Custer areas. Our hosts were very kind and helpful and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you!

Communications with Kirt was very easy. Directions were excellent. Kurt and Kelly met us with friendly smiles as we arrived and were very accommodating in every way.
We spent 8 confortable and quiet days and nights at Kurt's Kamp in a large beautiful site in the lush and pleasant valley where they are located.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely, especially the beautiful sunsets.
We will plan to stay at Kurt's Kamp when we travel to South Dakota again.
It's definitely a 5 star location.

Kurts property is truly peaceful and near everything you want to see in this area. He is super attentive and helpful and the RV spot is perfect. We enjoyed the neighborhood geese, a nice bonfire and beautiful views.

Loved everything about our stay! Our first time to the Black Hills was perfect. Kurt was an amazing host. He guided us to our spot and made sure we had everything we needed. He was so kind and friendly, even inviting us on a walk/run and giving some great in-town recommendations. The site was beautiful and everything worked well. We shared a fire pit and some road space with the AirBnB. It was lovely getting to know others that were sharing the property. Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer, Wind Cave, Badlands, Rapid City, and more were all within driving distance. Would absolutely recommend this site! Thanks for everything!

Wow! Kurt has built a fantastic spot on his property that perfectly threads the needle between convenient and secluded. We were surprised to find full hookups at the site and really appreciated it. Here’s what we loved:
- We had a 20’ travel trailer that fit perfectly with room for our tow vehicle.
- The stars were stunning at night.
- It was just minutes from Wind Cave NP and Custer State Park, the wildlife loop, etc.
- The site is just off the highway so really easy to get to
- It’s also just far enough away from the highway that it was really quiet.
- Kurt did an excellent job communicating instructions before the trip.
My only hesitation in leaving a great review was the risk it might be snatched up before we can book it the next time we are in the area. We can’t wait to visit again.

Kurt's Campspot was a quiet haven to come back to each evening after exploring this spectacular area. We appreciated the well kept property along with the full hook up service. The location was very convenient for accessing Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and Mt. Rushmore. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Such an amazing place!! On the drive in we passed so many RV parks with rigs packed in tight. How refreshing to pull into this beautiful valley!! The spot is very level and you can’t beat the price for full hook-ups. The hosts had great communication ahead of time and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They are friendly and open to interacting, which we really enjoyed, but not in an overbearing way if that’s not your thing. The guest house on their property is available through Air BNB and we’re already thinking of a time to come back and bring the grandparents with! The location is perfect for accessing the town of Custer (5 min), Custer State Park (15-20 min), Mt Rushmore (30-45 depending on route), and Wind Cave (20 min). Can’t say enough about this place and really hated to leave!!

Custer RV Camp Spot
Great little spot! It’s about 10 minutes to get to Custer, 45 to Mt. Rushmore, an hour to Rapid City and 1.75 hours to The Badlands. It’s only about 20 minutes to get to either Jewel Cave or Wind Cave. Site is next to the house so it has hookups and a place to dump which was super convenient. WiFi worked really well and we took advantage of the fire pit as well. Kurt was super friendly and we enjoyed getting to know him and his wife. Black Hills are beautiful and the drive through Custer State Park on the Needles Highway was lovely.
