Empty Lot can accommodate any RV or/and tent right across the Waccamaw River Heritage Preserve. Waccamaw River front 1 Acre of bare land; there is no running water, septic or electricity. For primitive camping, self-contained RV, etc.., Fishing, hunting, kayaking, nice view and private beach on the Waccamaw River. Located 15 minutes from the closest ocean beach in North Myrtle Beach. There are all kinds of stores, bars, restaurants, entreatments and attractions in the area. The Interstate Canal free boat ramp is located 10 minutes drive from your camping site. The closest Dollar General store is less than 5 minutes away and right behind the store is a free Recycling and Solid Waste Convenience Center. Easy road access to the site and less than 5 minutes walking to the river boat ramp.Waccamaw River front 1 Acre of bare land; no running water or electricity. You can enjoy a private beach on the River (if the water level in Waccamaw is high, you will not have the access to the beach. Across the river is Waccamaw River Heritage Preserve. Easy road access to the property and 5 minutes walking to the boat ramp. Half of the property is low that is sometimes wetland and sometimes dry, where the other half of the property is on a bluff and is always dry. The property is located directly on Waccamaw River Blue Trail, well known for kayaking trips. The Waccamaw River Blue Trail extends the South Carolina portion of the Waccamaw River meandering 100 miles through protected bottomland hardwood swamps of the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge and passing through the historic, riverfront cities of Conway and Georgetown. The Waccamaw, a coastal black water river, is home to many rare species of plants and animals, some of which are found nowhere else on earth.

Cool access to the river

Overall it’s a nice spot. Close access to the river and close to myrtle beach. It’s located on a quiet lot with some privacy. Some downsides were the grass was overgrown, some trash left behind by other campers, and basically just needed a clean up.

Private and Spacious Campsite

This was everything and more than we thought it would be. An easy access with drive through site was a perfect for our long skoolie; there is enough parking space for few more buses like our. The campsite felt private and spacious. We kept our Skoolie near the camp fire in upper part of the property near the quiet private road, and went tent camping with my wife and dog for one night near the river. We are boondockers loving the nature and privacy. This location was perfect for our needs. We will come back again for sure.

This is a great spot if you want a location to stay that is only 20 minutes away from the beach. However, if you are looking for a campground to stay at and just enjoy being in nature, it may not be quite what you are looking for. Some of the pictures posted were a bit misleading because we thought the campsite was along the river side in a secluded 1 acre of woods. However, the actual campsite is right by the road - straight across the street from a home. There is residential traffic along the road and not a lot of privacy at the campsite itself. A small hike/walk further into the woods is where the river bank is. The way isn’t difficult except that there is no real clearly marked path and the first part is steep to get down off the ledge. There is also poison Ivy to be away of on your way down. The riverbank was cool to walk along. Overall it was not quite what we were expecting but our stay was peaceful and the camping spot was easily accessible.
