I am a retired 26 year military serviceman. My wife, Deanna, and I decided to move back to the 800 acre family farm and start homesteading.
We currently raise registered Black Galloway cattle, Scottish Highland cattle, Oberhasli goats, 150 laying hens (Barred Rocks & Buckeyes), Broiler chickens, a Hereford sow that we have bred each year, & 5 Honey bee hives.
We also have a kitchen garden, plant 1/4 acre of pumpkins, and tend to an orchard with apples, peaches, plumbs, pears, cherries, grapes, raspberries & blueberries.
We are a working farm (at our own pace) and enjoy the peaceful country atmosphere. Come, enjoy a visit to the country and have some s'mores around the campfire.
We are located 60 miles south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and 30 miles north of Morgantown, West Virginia.
Come unplug & relax with us!
We hope to see you soon.

The Red Onion Cabin
Not a typical Glamping experience!
Glamping?! No way! This was WAY better than glamping! It’s an actual cabin with...air conditioning! And satellite tv and a gas grill and a washer and dryer and comfy beds with linens. Pots, pans, silverware and a microwave. It’s on a gravel road with about one car passing per hour. It’s very quiet. No near neighbors. The only con was the water smelled like sulphur. Overall it was a great place. Very clean. I would love to come back.
