So if you’re used to tent camping and having nothing but what you bring with you, than this cabin will be heaven for you. It’s a hunting cabin built primarily with a chainsaw and the trees that once stood in its place. My boyfriend and I usually tent camp, in remote locations, so we were prepared for no water, no electric and no heat. There was more than enough accommodations for a hunting cabin, we cooked our meats on the fire and used the wood burning stove for everything else. We also brought our own propane tank and gasoline for the propane heater and the generator. It’s an adorable cabin and we brought three kids, 6, 9 and 13, and they LOVED the loft. To us, this was a treat. I read a few reviews that complained a bit about the cabin, but tbh if you come prepared, it’s a really great place to getaway for a few days. Only complaint was, I was hoping I wouldn’t have ANY cell reception. Lol but other than that Mitchell was responsive and helpful and the place is cute as a button. Would definitely come back to this one in the spring when all of wildlife is randy lol

Was not as remote as anticipated, Cabin had not been cleaned, trash in garage cans, I had to wipe small kitchen area down it was filthy. Camp stove had no propane. If going in winter like we did cooking would be near impossible. generator had oil light on so we were unable to use it for lights. All candles were empty, lanterns did not work properly so we had no lights, Propane tanks were empty for heat. Contacted host who apologized and said he would bring us supplies but he didn’t respond before we had already packed up. He told me I would receive a refund but I never saw one. Looks like it’s used for a party hang out. Could hear tons of traffic from cabin.

Awesome place. Definitely has an off the grid feel without being too far from the road. More private than a state park cabin. Mitchell was more than friendly. Willing to help and made sure we had everything we needed before letting us be.

It was very unique place! Hard place to find at first but worth it once figured out. Glad we brought my Jeep, the hill to the cabin is very steep and basic wooded trail. The host was helpful anytime we needed something! Outhouse was fun and definitely different! Plan to do it again :)

Cabin in the woods
Mitchell the host was great to deal with. Very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Property was perfect for our camping weekend. Mitchell stopped in and made sure we had everything we needed. Great trails for hiking or biking. Cabin was clean and ready for our stay. I would recommend 4x4 or SUV for the driveway. Can be a little tricky
