Location is beautiful--about 40 minutes on a gravel road outside of Huntington on the Snake River.
The camper itself is pretty rustic and bare bones. Be sure to bring your own towels, blankets, and pillows. The kitchen has just enough supplies to make a very simple meal and the appliances worked fine.

My wife lived the quaint secluded site! Especially our new friend a little pot belly pig. Ducks, geese, a cat, horses and a mule. We be back! Danny is the best, he even supplied an awesome fire pit!

We booked this site as our last stop along a 10-day roadtrip, and the pictures of the beautiful waterfront views and overwhelmingly positive reviews had me sold. BUT, if you are traveling with an RV, hear me out…While the views were gorgeous and generally private, accessing this Hipcamp was the least enjoyable part of our entire trip. While the dirt road isn’t necessarily treacherous with rocks or washouts, it is still a challenging drive while towing an RV because of the incessant rumbles (you know those small, uniform, rumble-strip-like divots in dirt roads…yeah, it was MILES of them). It took us over 40 minutes to make the drive along Snake River Rd and it literally scrambled every last egg we had. Had we had cell service, we would’ve contacted the host and changed our course. There are better spots in the area, including a completely desolate state park within Huntington, a designated BLM camping area, and numerous other dispersed sites that are all easier to access. At $40/night, it’s not really worth it in my opinion. Also, fellow dog-owners—the area is loaded with bur-like plants that are a pain for long-haired coats. Despite all of that, we still made the most of our stay and took advantage of the views, riverfront access, the beautiful sunrise & sunset, etc. Undoubtedly, it’s a beautiful spot and I can see why others love it. I just hope these notes are helpful for future guests, because these are things I wish I would’ve known.

This was absolutely breathtaking!! The long dirt road was an exciting adventure and the hosts met us when we arrived. Such a cute rustic cabin overlooking the river where you can walk and check out the area. They introduced us to the farm animals, which was such a delight. Purchased fresh ingredients from them for our breakfast and it was delicious! Lovely family and we definitely recommend! Thank you again for everything, until next time!

Our experience there was wonderful. Danny was a very helpful host. We swam in the river with our dogs, the dogs loved the place too. our site was private with a beautiful view. We'll defiantly be back.

The location was awesome. The 15 mile gravel road is washboarded out. It can be difficult to drive if unfamiliar. I wish there had been more maintenance on the site. Many prickly weeds and a full grown thistle in a walking path. The beach had garbage and a lot of driftwood. I realize this is from the river but a cleared out walking path to prevent tripping would be nice. I loved that there was a site for a trailer and also a tent location with afternoon shade at this site. Plenty of privacy at this site.

Very private with easy river access. Really enjoyed our 2 day stay there. Level place to park next to some trees and green. As advertised no surprises. Unpaved road for about 4 miles along the snake river. Spectacular views. Host met us and led us to our spot. We bought a dozen eggs for 5 bucks and had great breakfasts.

Beautiful location. Danny was a friendly, helpful host — and he even helped us weld a break on our trailer! Fantastic communication. Boat launch was right onsite and easy to use for our fish boat. Campsite was quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If you're meticulous about your RV such as keeping it clean inside and out, I wouldn't recommend since you have to drive about 18 miles of dusty, rocky, weather rutted dirt road to this location. The Host Danny was great and the actual location was nice since the water is within 60 yards from the camp ground but you'll spend 4 days cleaning your RV inside and out including all the compartments.
Improvements are to notify campers of the dirt road for 18 miles.

The view was amazing. It was pretty windy while we were there but spot #3 has plenty of little pockets where you can place chairs and relax. Because of the wind we did not launch our boat, but caught lots of catfish and bass from shore. The farm fresh eggs were great. The multi patterned eggs definitely brought back memories for my father who grew up on a farm. The host checked in a few times and helped to address all our questions.

AMAZING place to stay! Best campsite we have ever gone to. Great place for swimming, fishing, and rock hunting. Beautiful rocks there. It has a HUGE private beach, and a boat launch for smaller size boats. Friday night and we heard a sound and thought a cow got out from nearby. Turned out 2 mule deer, a doe and fawn, came down to eat and drink at our campsite about 10 yards away from us as we sat around talking by the fire pit. They weren't scared of us at all and stayed probably 20-30 minutes. Then 5 wild turkeys came down the next morning and sat on the beach for 3 hours. We saw numerous big hawks, a golden eagle, and several ducks. Truly a magical experience. Danny our host is an incredible, fun, kind, informative host. We are going to book it again as soon as it gets warmer and take our 2 grandchildren. We have for dachshunds and they loved being outside under the shade trees all day long by where we parked the camper. You have a lot of space where you park your camper, There is a grill to set over a fire pit. It saved us because our camper batteries died and we had no electricity all weekend, our generator has to have enough battery power to start the generator to run the gas line so we couldn't use our gas grill. Can't wait to go again, this time with new batteries!🤣🤣🤣

This camp spot, set on the Snake River is fantastic. We had easy access to the water which was super fun with the padddleboard. Lonita hosted us because Danny was busy. She took very good care of us, especially considering that we forgot a couple of key items for our trailer.
Camping next to the river was peaceful and beautiful. We highly recommend Danny’s camp.

This was a wonderful site on the snake river with total privacy and great views. The wildlife included many deer, goats, lots of birds including an owl in the tree at the site (the owl flew over us at night), and fishing was fun.
The host was very gracious and made sure we taken care of.
I can’t praise this site enough: I will just say my family will be returning again next year- I live in Portland and it was certainly worth the drive.

Camping right next to a giant river with privacy? Yes please!
We really enjoyed our stay at Spot #4! It’s no fault to Danny, but HipCamp’s website has the spots numbered in reverse order, just something to remember when looking/booking a spot! The photo matches the site description when you click on it, it just actually starts at spot #4 as you arrive and Spot #1 is the last spot on the right!
We arrived late and it was dark and Danny’’s wife and kids met us at the road and hopped on the quad and led us to our spot! They were so fun and we had a nice conversation!
Our spot was clean had a killer view of the river and we woke up to the sound of fish jumping from the water!

It was a nice spot on the Snake River. To reach thia place you have to drive a few Miles ob gravel road. We pitched our tent under a big tree and had Lots of shadow in the very hot morning. We arrived very late and got clear directions from the host to reach the place.
