The Lake Pasture is now taking reservations for 2026 that will run until the end of September. We’d like to share a small but meaningful change at the campsite. Our numbered sites have been replaced with family names that reflect the families who have helped shape this property over the years. Many of these names are connected through marriage and shared history, and together they tell the story of how our family—and this land—have grown over time. We hope this adds a personal touch to your stay and offers a glimpse into the history that makes this place so special to us.Our season this year will run through the month of September. Welcome to our tranquil campground nestled on the stunning Oregon coastline. Our campground boasts four primitive sites located in an open field between a fresh water lake and the Pacific Ocean. Our campground provides a rustic escape for those seeking solace and adventure. With access to a shared private lake, guests can unwind by the water's edge, kayak, or simply soak in the beauty of the natural surroundings. Please note we do not book group campsites. Conveniently located just two miles north of Cape Kiwanda, our campground offers easy walking access to the pristine shores of Tierra Del Mar Beach. Situated between the charming coastal towns of Tillamook and Lincoln City, our campground serves as the perfect basecamp for exploring the wonders of the Oregon coast. Whether you're craving a peaceful getaway or yearning for outdoor exploration, our sites provide an idyllic setting for creating unforgettable memories amidst the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Also, the closest location to the pedestrian beach entrance, a mere two-minute walk across the field and road. This site has a large area to set up tent(s).It is suitable for self contained vehicles like van or pickup campers. The site is not convenient for trailers. Please note this site is located further away from the access gate. Parking for this site is within 75 feet of the site. Sites 1 and 2 are recommended for camper vans or trailers. Site 4 is great for camper vans. No trailers at this site. For amenities, guests will find a communal portable toilet just a brief stroll away, ensuring convenience. Additionally, our friendly flock of sheep and llama are within viewing distance. It's worth noting that while enjoying the natural beauty, guests may encounter up to three other groups nearby, adding to the communal atmosphere.

Kellow site offers a serene setting on level grassland overlooking the lake and adjacent to a small seasonal creek providing a tranquil retreat with a privacy fence shielding from the road. Positioned at the furthest end of the field it provides the most secluded site. It is a short walk to a shared dock and lake entrance. Also, centrally located from the beach entrance, a mere three-minute walk across the field and road. This site has a smaller area to set up a tent. 10' x 20'. It is suitable for self contained vehicles like van or pickup campers, but no trailers. Be advised that during the early months of spring ground water will not allow parking right next to site. The tent site stays dry but surrounding area can be soft. Please note this site is located furthest away from the access gate and two available parking spots are not adjacent to the site. They are about 100 feet from the campsite. Sites 1 and 2 are recommended for camper vans or pop up trailers. For amenities, guests will find a communal portable toilet just a brief stroll away, ensuring convenience. Additionally, our friendly flock of sheep and llama are within viewing distance. It's worth noting that while enjoying the natural beauty, guests may encounter up to three other groups nearby, adding to the communal atmosphere.

This is a fantastic location. The campsites are very large and the pond is very nice. The beach access is right across the road. Very nice beach. It’s only 3 miles from Pacific City. Totally loved that beach too and you can watch the dory boats drive up on the beach so they can load them up. There is also a great trail to some of the best views ever and it terminates at the top of a steep sand dune that is great fun to race down. Lots of surfing locations there if you like that. We loved the lama at the campsite he is very sweet. There was some occasional noise from the road and the side of the beach where people drive but it was not that bad.

Absolute bliss. Private lake with a dock. Well spaced out tent sites. Multiple toilets. Literally across the street from the beach. 2 mile walk on the beach to pacific city. Didn’t leave the campsite one day because it was so peaceful.

Best beach access on the coast! We loved staying here in our camper van. The grounds are well kept, bathrooms are clean, super friendly animals, and it’s one minute to the beach!! Our kids absolutely exhausted themselves. A truly fantastic campsite.

Gorgeous setting near a peaceful lake, with lambs and a llama for the kids to pet! And Dave wins the host of the year--absolutely the sweetest host we've ever encountered! He checked in multiple times per day, offered suggestions for exploring around the area, and made sure the campsite was in tip top condition. Just a really lovely human being. We appreciated that the campsites are well spaced from each other. We'd love to camp here again.

We LOVED camping at the pasture- peaceful, quiet, and fabulous beach access. Dave welcomed us and explained the lay of the land. We enjoyed privacy and sitting by the lake. Highly recommend- will be back!

We had such a wonderful stay at this campsite! The location is absolutely perfect—right next to the ocean with stunning views that make it so peaceful and relaxing. The host was fantastic, welcoming, and made sure everything was just right for our stay. One of the highlights was the sweet farm animals on the property who loved getting pets—it made the experience even more special and unique. The campsite itself was very quiet, calm, and exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway by the ocean.

This was a gem! 10/10! Met Dave the owner upon arrival and he was very kind and helpful. He hand delivered two generous tubs of wood that we had prepaid for. Each tub had a little fire starter, kindling and matches for $10. A total deal! Each of the 4 sites were well spread out. Could never hear any of the other campers. It was so nice to have port-a potties and there were also trash receptacles to dispose of trash at the end of you stay. The scenery was beautiful and the campsites felt private. A quick walk to an expansive stretch of ocean and an even quicker walk to a picturesque lake with a cute little dock. We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed longer. We will for sure be back to the wonderful spot.

What a fantastic location. On a private freshwater Dune lake full of waterlillies, Redwing blackbirds galore, a lama and four interesting sheep in the pasture and lovely wildflowers. On top of that it is across a two lane road from one of the best long strand sand beaches in Oregon. What's not to love! Thank you for sharing this beautiful setting with the rest of us. Great directions.

Sweet camping spot right across the street from the beach! Great hosts, and awesome farm animals. Would love to stay again. We spent so much time at the beach we hardly got to enjoy the beautiful lake!

Just across the street from a beautiful beach, and next to a lovely lagoon. Only three campsites, so lots of room and reasonable privacy and a very friendly but unobtrusive host. There are sheep and a llama in a penned area - very rural little setting, lots of flora and fauna surrounding the lagoon. It was very simple but well appointed - picnic table, fire pit, firewood available at modest cost, a run of fence at each site to create some privacy, portapotty’s were clean. Bring your own water, however.

Fantastic spot! Campsites were clean, spacious and the Lama was such a treat. Great to walk just across the street and be at the beach and come back to take a dip in the lake. Firewood bundles on site were so convenient for $10 enough to last 2 nights. Thanks Dave!!! Will definitely be back!!

Best camping spot. Right across from the beach, clean, and has a llama with sheep. My daughter loved feeding the animals with apples that we brought just for them. What else could you want?

Dave was a super welcoming host and the spot is absolutely wonderful to camp at! Would recommend to friends and am definitely going to be going back. Bring a shower bag as there is no shower!

Dave's campground is a new favorite of my family. The place is well maintained, has a llama and some sheep, a peaceful lake, and is walkable to the beach. No cell service could be an issue for some, but for us that wasn't much a hindrance to our adventuring.

A Serene Spot to Reset

Dave’s Pasture was the perfect jumping point for so many adventures or if you just want to take it slow. It’s right across the street from a great beach, down the road from Pacific City if you want to eat out, or short drives to Lincoln City or Tillamook (if you snagged one of the creamery’s tours). You can tell that Dave really cares about his guests and the property is well maintained. Plus you get to meet Forrest the llama and his crew of lambs. It was a great place to reset on my west coast travels. Echoing a previous review as a solo woman traveler, I felt completely safe here.
