Beautiful location on the Smith River with easy access drive-in site in my van. Each site had a picnic table. There is a small store with food items for sale but not much remained although my visit was at the end of the fishing season. Well stocked bar with plenty of brew selection. This Hip-camp is 15-20 minutes from Reedsport which is a good location for any needed business in the city of Reedsport. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the area.

This site is right next to a little country store and pub. Great location with no other properties around you. The hosts were gracious and easy to work with. Would definitely book here again if I find myself in the area!

Perfect spot for a quick stop overnight, beautiful location. very well maintained property with so much charm. having the store & tavern is so convenient. Troy even served us fireside our dinner that we ordered… really lovely time. We were camped next to two other sets of campers and we really enjoyed sharing a fire with them. adding to our list of places to stop on the way up the 101. We went for a nice morning walk and watched the cows run through the foggy fields. Also saw an elk on the way in. Definitely recommended this place! if you are seeking a private campsite this may not be for you but if you are open to fireside chats make this a stop! also - we LOVED the dogs on the property, so incredibly sweet.

Really great place in the woods to pitch a tent or park your camper. We had a last minute change of plans and were able to book the night-of, so I really appreciated the flexibility with booking. I liked that each site has a picnic table. Troy is very nice and accommodating, would stay again!

Troy was super accommodating of our large group. The campsite was nicely secluded and in great shape. We felt extremely safe and welcome! Very much enjoyed the friendly dogs and goats, as well.

Basic camp sites, in a beautiful area. It was nice to have friendly dogs come say hi, we walked to see some cows that we could hear, and ordered hot food at the store, because it poured rain our whole time there. It was much needed rain in the dry summer! And it was so warm I slept most of the night without covers. I wish more campsites were like this.

I wasn't sure what to expect when booking a camping spot at a grocery store, but I had a wonderful stay! Small camping area comfortable for a handful of RV's or campers. Lots of trees and flat space. Very clean porta-potty. Friendly camp hosts, some cute photo ops and fully stocked tavern with outside seating. The resident dogs are gentle and curious. Very well behaved and obedient. About 15 miles off Hwy 101, but clean, great sky watching, and very relaxing spot. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway from the road.

A fine spot off of the beaten path. The store and tavern/pub were much appreciated and Tammy and Troy were friendly and more than accommodating. The site was fine, we were the only ones there so cannot speak about privacy, etc.

Property exactly as described. Troy was extremely helpful and inviting, but not intrusive whatsoever. Interesting location far from crowds and almost zero traffic on the road.
My only complaint is that the house dogs are free to roam everywhere, including where the hip campers are camping. His dogs are friendly and all, but I was camping with my geriatric 13 year old dog who has been, and will be, reactive to other dogs until she passes. She is wonderful with people and cats, etc... but is very aggressive if dogs get in our space. I was forced to keep my dog locked in either my truck cab or my camper the entire time to avoid conflict, and to make sure she wouldn't bark and disturb others. I would suggest to Troy to erect a fence to keep his dogs away from the camping areas that he rents out. People always say "don't worry, my dogs are fine," but what they don't realize is my hound will kill your dog if given the chance.
Other than being forced to not spend time with my dog around the campfire, etc .. and I don't know how many more trips she has in her, which was disappointing, everything else was great.

Great hosts, very basic camping area. Only have one portapotty that was across the parking lot,... And there were multiple campers using it, and probably some of the community too...so just something to remember. It also needed emptying. There was No water, no fire pit but ...There were picnic tables and the place was very clean! Their dogs were the best!

Perfect overnight for a quick car a sleep. Quiet for the most part are night but had some trucks come in which were loud but it worked for us - bring ear plugs and expect little to no cell service

The 'off the beaten track' location was beautiful. Sounds of birds & only the odd vehicle going by. Level & well kept area for camping. We really enjoyed this location & would DEFINITELY come back

What a great spot! Troy is extremely kind and helpful. Nice to be able to pop into the pub have a beer, some fries and chat with the locals. Location is great , with two boat launches on the Smith River nearby and an easy drive to Reedsport and Winchester Bay. Highly recommend!

This campsite is very quiet, clean and pleasant. 5 sites. Troy was a great host and the fact that he has a general store and bar only added to the comfort of the evening.

Loved the remoteness- about 20 minutes east from Reedsport. We hadn’t played pool in 15+ years and we had so much fun at the pub. Hosts were wonderful and their dogs super friendly. There’s also mini market and stand with books and movies to borrow. Site is nicely laid out with easy access from road. We definitely recommend.

Very welcoming host. Sites as described. The porta jon was very clean. The tavern was very cool and eclectic. Great food although limited options and all fried. Large portions reasonably priced. At the time when we were there they only took cash. We were able to help them setup venmo to pay. That maybe an option for the future. Confirm with host. Great beer selection. We will return.

Was a wonderful place to stay! Super unique spot that felt safe and cozy. Beautiful drive out, not too far from the beach/dunes. We would definitely stay here again
