Out’n’About is a treehouse resort located right next to the siskiyou national forest. The 40+ acre property is partially forested with horse pastures and meadows. There are 15 rentals, of which most are treehouses built in oak groves or Douglas fir trees. There is a main lodge where breakfast is served. Outside there is a shared kitchen pavilion with additional bathrooms. There are numerous bbqs, picnic tables, and a shared fire pit. There is a fresh water swimming pool, a ping pong table, tree trampolines, and tons of swings for the kids of all ages. For additional fees we also offer massage, horse back riding, ziplining and arts classes.

The pleasantree treehouse sits 30 feet above the ground and is accessed by multiple flights of stairs and suspension bridges. The main floor has single bunk beds, a full bathroom, a mini fridge, and a ladder that leads to the sleeping loft. There is a queen bed and extra sleeping mat in the sleeping loft. There is not standing room in the loft.

The forestree sits about 32 feet off of the ground and is accessed by climbing 3 flights of stairs, crossing two suspension bridges and then climbing a final set of 7 stairs. It sleeps 4-5 people. It has a queen bed, a set of bunk beds, and a small cot size bed. There is a toilet, sink, and mini fridge. There are full bathrooms and a shared cooking area on the main grounds.

Balcontree

The Balcontree Room is not a treehouse it is a second-story room in the main lodge located up above the main office. It has a ‘treeway’ entry where you climb two flights of stairs, cross a suspension bridge to a private treehouse platform, and then cross another suspension bridge into the room. The room itself has a queen bed, a pyramid bunk (double bed on the bottom and a twin on the top), a full bathroom, a mini refrigerator, and a small balcony. There is a private open-air treehouse platform that is connected to the room. A one time cleaning fee of $35.00 will be added to your reservation. Cabin

The Cabin is not a treehouse it is a small two story cabin on the ground. There is a queen bed upstairs and a fold out couch that turns into a queen bed downstairs in the living room area. It has a full bathroom and small kitchenette with a microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot and a mini refrigerator. There is a small deck and ‘yard’ out front with a propane barbecue and picnic table. There is also a woodstove in the living room area making this a cozy little retreat in the winter months. A one time cleaning fee of $35.00 will be added to your reservation.

Cavaltree

The Cavaltree is a two story treehouse that shares its stairway access with the Treeloon. The bottom story of the Cavaltree is about 12 feet off of the ground and is a very small room with just a queen bed in it. The second story of the Cavaltree which is accessed by a ladder has a set of single wide bunk beds, a single cot and a small sleeping loft with a double bed in it. The door to the upper portion is a solid bottom half with a canvas roll down for the top half. The treehouse is about 120 feet away from the closest bathroom from the base of the stairs and the bathrooms are shared with other guests. A one time cleaning fee of $35.00 will be added to your reservation.

The Elementree is not a treehouse, but it is an elevated house on stilts which gives it all of the ‘elements’ of a treehouse it’s just not supported by trees. The room itself is very small with a queen bed and a set of single wide bunk beds right next to the queen bed. The bathroom is about 30 feet away from the base of the stairs and is shared with other guests. A one time cleaning fee of $35.00 will be added to your reservation.

The Majestree is our tallest treehouse sitting 47 feet off of the ground! You access it by climbing 4 flights of stairs, The room itself has a queen bed, two double beds in the sleeping loft, a full bathroom, and a small kitchenette with a microwave, coffee pot, toaster, and mini refrigerator. Due to the height of this treehouse we do not recommend children under the age of 5 in it. A one time cleaning fee of $35.00 will be added to your reservation.

This is a cannabis-friendly treehouse rental. All guests must be at least 21 years of age or older to stay. The treehouse accommodates up to 4 people with a queen-sized couch that folds out into a full bed. A full bathroom, and a small kitchenette with a microwave, coffee pot, toaster, and mini refrigerator. This rental comes with some complimentary cannabis. Serendipitree

The Serendipitree is about 12 feet off of the ground and is one of our smallest but coziest treehouses on the property. When you walk into the Serendipitree there is a “U” shaped sitting area that you turn into a bed at night making a custom queen bed that is as wide as a queen on one end but gets slightly smaller on the other. There is a small sleeping loft accessed by a ladder that has a single wide bed in it. The treehouse is about 90 feet away from the base of the stairs to the closest bathroom and the bathrooms are shared with other guests. This treehouse is very popular with couples or people with one child of any age or two very small children that can share the single bed in the sleeping loft. A one time cleaning fee of $35.00 will be added to your reservation.

Swiss Family

The Swiss Family Complex is two separate treehouses connected by a swinging bridge. The smaller treehouse built for kids has a small set of single wide bunk beds and a small table and chairs. The larger treehouse, built for adults, is accessed by a ladder up through a trap door into the room; the room itself has a queen bed, a small single cot built into the wall and a small deck. There is a mini refrigerator outside on the platform below the adult’s treehouse, the treehouse is located about 60 feet from the closest bathroom and the bathrooms are shared with other guests. A one time cleaning fee of $35.00 will be added to your reservation.

The Treehouse itself has a queen bed and an ‘L’ shaped sleeping loft that can fit two kids comfortably, a mini refrigerator and a very small deck. The Treeroom Schoolhouse Suite (aka ‘The Suite’) is about 12 feet off of the ground, has a queen bed in the master bedroom, a double futon in the living room/kitchenette area, a small sleeping loft, a full bathroom, and a small kitchenette with a microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, and mini refrigerator. The Suite also has a large deck and a propane barbecue on it. The sleeping loft is located above the full bathroom and is designed for 2 kids or 1 adult. Treezebo

The Treezebo is about 35 feet off of the ground and is accessed by climbing three flights of stairs and crossing two suspension bridges. The room itself is a single room unit with a queen bed, a set of single wide bunk beds, a small single cot built into the wall, a mini refrigerator and a toilet and sink. The toilet and sink are not private; they are only separated from the room by a small curtain, and are mainly in there so you don’t have to go down 35 feet in the middle of the night to use the restroom. There are full bathrooms located on the ground for your use and the bathrooms are shared with other guests. The Treezebo is fully enclosed with regular walls and brand new sliding glass windows. A one time cleaning fee of $35.00 will be added to your reservation.

Forestree
My husband and I had a fun stay in the forestree. The scenery is lovely. Our favorite was probably Tarzan swing and horseback riding. The only downside was our rafting trip was canceled because there needed to be a min of 3 people. We stayed 3 nights thinking we’d go rafting the morning we left. If you don’t do all the activities, then 2 nights would be been plenty. Also, the on-site host was lovely and the breakfast was delicious!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Out’N’About! A magical place, clean and well maintained spaces, friendly and knowledgeable staff and the zip lining crew was top notch! We will definitely be back for another family adventure!

Pleasantree treehouse
We had a wonderful time and a great experience at the treehouse resort. The hot breakfast was wonderful and fresh. The views were astounding on the grounds and up in the treehouse. Considering the time of year, it is understandable that it was quite chilly, but the sleeping bags provided were very adequate and comfortable. All of the amenities inside of the treehouse worked as expected overall, it was a very pleasant experience in Pleasantree. It felt like living a childhood dream mixed in with a bit of summer camp. We loved crossing the bridges and feeling a bit like Peter Pan in Neverland. The builders of the tree-sort did an astounding job of building this work of art. A few things that could improve the stay, would be more adequate lighting on the grounds at night time as I tripped over a root but did not fall, the hinge on the outhouse needs repair as the door did not close appropriately, the Wi-Fi was spotty (not a big deal), a more powerful space heater (but I understand about the fire risk). More padding for the bunkbeds would be a plus. Overall, we would rate this place a 9.5/10. The staff we met were phenomenal and very welcoming. We felt like they were family. Even the little black cats that were on the premises were a welcomed addition. Thanks for the opportunity to visit your wonderland!

Pleasantree treehouse
Above and beyond what we expected! Treehouses were cozy with fresh linens, mini fridge, space heater, shower, fan, etc. they also had seating areas right outside the door up in the trees. Staff is always around if needed. Like to start the fire pit. And the breakfast (which was included) was excellent! A super quiet and peaceful getaway. We had a great stay! Did not realize zip lining and horseback riding could be arranged if you inquire. Would have definitely done that if we knew.

Excellent Place
Cabin Tree
Cabintree was such an amazing spot nestled between treehouses. Lots of great activities on the property and breakfast in the morning. We where there during the spring, right before the busy summer season. Couldn’t ask for a nicer stay in a clean and private cabin.
