Once I realised there are 2 pitches is different places it all made sense. I took the cheaper one which wasn’t near the creek. No mozzies to worry about, and I saved a few bucks.
I needed somewhere to legally spend a night and this did the job nicely. No frills but also no fuss. Ideal

Mosier Creek Camp
Our stay at this camp ground was great and private which is what I wanted for my family and Dogs. Lots of dirt and some thorns where we put up our tents but you can avoid it. Little creek, chair, hammock, small round table and fire pit on campground. Road is right next to the campground so if you can’t handle noise then it won’t be for you.
Directions: follow the GPS until after you take the right onto Caroll rd, once you pass the dark brown house on the right slow down and drive until you see a cartoon dog with a pink dress on mounted on a tree that says private property take that right turn and it will be a rocky road going down, you will be at the destination.

Pros - communication in the posting about how to reach the campsite (maps doesn’t get you there using the coordinates). Near to town, but feels very secluded. And the porta potty was clean and sterile
Before I get into the cons, I don’t think it’s completely the hosts fault. It’s partly on us as campers and the situation we put ourselves in. We booked this very last second on a holiday weekend. And we arrived after nightfall so we couldn’t get a feel for the area while it was bright out. But want to include these as part of honest feedback so I have to mention these things
There were zero messages from the hosts. I felt that could be explained by being away on holiday weekend and booking last second. But even after the stay, never received one message
There was debris throughout the campsite. Like a metal rod from a broken rake and other garbage like this.
It was very noisy and intense, which I could of dealt with. Cars that go by on the nearby country road (which was expected from post). Normal nature noises like crickets or frogs or the running creek. But the noise that was most bothersome was the bristling of bushes and crushing leaves from foot steps - either from an animal or another human. And at that point we felt unsafe. So instead of sleeping in our tent, we slept in our locked vehicle for safety purposes. Once again, I don’t totally blame the host. We should have gotten there earlier to get our bearings for the area.

It was nice here, relatively peaceful. A couple of recommendations I would make but we enjoyed the space a lot. Easy of enough drive into Hood River to enjoy that area a bit, while getting a way more affordable option for camping. Would definitely stay here again, and would bring more people, as there is ample space for a larger group than just my wife and I.

Awesome site. The sound of the creek, and the wind blowing through the trees couldn’t be beat.. We saw a huge crawdad. The portapotty was a bonus, and there was far more space that we needed. I read some negative reviews before booking, and I have to say those are probably people that are hard to please. It was a great value and I’d book it again in a heartbeat. Thank you host!

Site was disappointing. There were no tables and no fire pit when we arrived. The grass had not been mowed recently and was thigh high. we found at least one tick on us.

The main draw for this campspot is the proximity to Mosier hikes and wineries. The site was a bit lackluster compared to other hipcamps we've enjoyed, but it was a fine place to put a tent for the night. The portapotty was clean.

Great location, but hefty price for what it is. The porta potty could have been much cleaner and my group had to pull some blackberry to not rip up our tents. The creek was beautiful though, and it was a fine spot to spend a night.

The camp site was right off the road. When we arrived it was full of large trash and debris. We spent an hour cleaning up old tables, pipes, downed branches and some broken bottles.

This is a very quiet hidden place to camp near the Columbia River. It was very hard to find...especially in the pitch black. The GPS directions are wrong and the written directions are confusing...especially if you go to the GPS directions first. It isn't obvious when you get there either...until I got out with my flashlight and looked around. Otherwise a great stop for a good night sleep.

We didn’t need a bathroom or power, if you’re looking for something nicer, this hip camp has no frills. We just needed a place to park our RV while we explored during the days - it was easy with no contact.

It’s a nice area with a lot of space if you have a bigger camping party. But, it was disappointing to see how poorly maintained the property is. There was broken glass and other small trash around the site, and the provided tables and hammock are in desperate need of cleaning/repair. Also, according to the record on the door, the porta potty had last been serviced in April, it would’ve been nice to see it cleaner.
Additionally, I never heard from or met the host. The instructions are to meet upon arrival so I messaged Sue shortly after I pulled in, but never heard back.
On a positive note, I met many kind locals and got to see a lot of wildlife walking right through my site. Mosier is a beautiful town with many natural sights to see.

Overall it is a decent site. As a solo female coming in at dusk I wouldn't recommend it. The directions need to be more clear. I made a wrong turn and drove down someone else's property. There are other markers that could be used. I was grateful I found a place to stay on very short notice so some of that was my fault. The coverage isn't great, earlier would be best.
The site itself is uneven in spots and if you have a van/camper there isn't a way to camp close to the creek. I felt vulnerable to traffic on both sides of me in the dark and was unsure of the area. It was lovely in the morning but I had to move on. I would recommend this site for couples or a small group just for safety.
Again, super grateful the host let me come in so late. The creek is beautiful.

Scariest place we tried to camp our entire trip, will be deleting this app after this experience. We were not met by the host at all, and lost service right just around the corner from the camp. We left our camp in a hurry in the middle of a rain storm after seeing someone appear across the campground. There is a house/building hidden within the vines behind the campsite & it was nerve-wracking not knowing who was watching. Very eerie place.

Honestly, when we camped, we were covering miles during the day, got there late, put up the tent, cooked dinner and then went to sleep. The site was secluded and off the road, located next to a stream. The only drawback was the noise from loud trucks. We didn't have much issues with mosquitoes as suggested.

The campsite was private, and next to a beautiful creek. However, the porta potty was about full, which was gross. There was a trash can, but it was chained closed. The host was very responsive when I reserved the spy. However, I messaged her the day before, and the day of, check-in. She did not respond at all. The campsite looked as if bushes and trees had been pulled from the ground, with the branches shoved to one side and roots still sticking out of the ground.

Port-a-potty not emptied in ages. Grass not mowed, at least 8 inch high weeds causing lots of grass bugs. No garbage can. No greeting by host. Road was really quite busy/noisy. Surely not worth $30 per night.

It was nice and private compared to a traditional campsite, though there were a couple neighboring houses in earshot. There was lots of space and a shed with several tables and chairs that were available for use after a quick wipe down. There was a portapotty available on site as well which was nice. I especially appreciated the proximity to the town of Mosier which had great coffee, pastries, and a general store.

Sue’s property had a nice space to sit by the creek. We put up twinkly lights and it was gorgeous and private. Good flat space for a tent.
We didn’t see any mosquitoes yet.
This was a perfect place to stay to go on an evening hike up the Plateau and be closer to Colombia Hills state park for more wildflowers in the morning.

The campsite is nestled next to a lovely creek and just off the road. The creek cancels out any noise from the road. It was nice to have a fire pit to build a fire and the porta potty was useable. Campsite could use cleaning up some, lots of fallen branches/dead leaves.

We had some mi or trouble locating the spot with the GPS coordinates, but found it. It’s on the non-creek side of the road. Look for the birdhouses and you’ll be in the right spot. Simple and flat spot that could hold several rigs. Portable toilet was nice and clean. No other amenities. It does border a country road, so you will notice an occasional loud truck. We did not find a fire pit, so we used our propane fire ring.
