This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles. We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. **Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. This was the perfect secluded tent camp site! Very spacious for our dog to roam around. Easy to find, driveway is right off Hwy 101.

What a great space! Getting there can be a little tricky since the Maps directions are just a little off and the gate is hard to spot from highway, but if the three of us can pull it off- anyone can! Lots of room for group camping. For its proximity to 101, the site is quiet and feels secluded. Port-a-potty was clean, the fire pit was perfect, and overall we had a great time. Would definitely return.

Close to town but still felt very private! My dogs loved all the smells. Spot was clean and easily accessible. Would definitely stay again!

Easy access, private, spot right off of 101. If traffic noise bothers you, this might not be the right spot for you. But, I’ve tent camped here twice and our group always has a good time. Quieter in the evening and you can hear the ocean in the distance. Great for big groups and dogs. Clean and routinely maintained porta potty. Will definitely stay again!

I can't say enough good things about this site. It was conveniently located about 10 minutes from Florence right off the 101. I felt spoiled staying here and having this huge place all to myself. There were so many options where to set up my tent. There's a fire pit, a picnic table, and a porta-potty with lights installed. There is a house next door but I never heard or saw anyone. Megan was very friendly and approved my request to stay there pretty quick. There are pay showers at 37th Street Coin Laundry ($4.00), and a huge Fred Meyers within a 10 minute drive from camp right as you get to Florence. I could hear the cars on the road earlier in the day, but after 10 pm I barely heard it, and slept like a baby all through the night. Between the creeking of the gate when opening, and having neighbors right there added an element of safety for me at night, and my gear if I left for a bit. I really did feel spoiled. It was perfect for me at that point on my road trip down the coast. I highly recommend it.

Huge forest grove all to ourselves! Drive north for less than one minute for one of the best coastal views we’ve seen in our many travels. The porta-potties were the cleanest ever. So know that this site is right off the highway, but we noticed that at night there’s very little traffic, and the location can’t be beat. For some the road noise might be a bit much but we really didn’t mind. The site is nice and private, with a big picnic table and fire ring and plenty of level places to set up a tent or an RV. We will definitely return to this one.

This was the perfect spot to pitch our tent, have a little fire and get some sleep! There is a picnic table and nice fire pit as well as decently soft and mostly flat ground area for a tent. The trees are amazing, very private area and was easy to find, even in the dark as we arrived fairly late.

It was perfect for myself and my dog! I’m glad I arrived early to be able to find the gate, as well as look around to figure out where best to pitch my tent. Went out to visit with some friends that night and had a difficult time trying to find the turn off in the dark- but for me that’s all a part of the fun 😉 My dog did not want to leave. We definitely will be back!!

This spot is the perfect, private piece of land I hope to find on Hipcamp. It’s right next to the 101 so super easy to get on and off during a road-trip. The highway noise is all just the swishing sound of cars, not semis & loud trucks like camping near 1-5 so it’s not bad at all and gets very quiet at night. The land is big enough to walk around a bit and stretch out. The picnic table and fire pit seating area around it are all you need. The porta potties are spotless and smell good! And the magnificent trees and all the birds in them are a real treat. We had such a lovely, peaceful stay and highly recommend to anyone needing a private respite on a camping trip on the 101.

Cool site right off the highway. I recommend arriving during the day so you can find the road with the gate - at night with the sea mist it can be hard to spot! It's also hard to find where to set up your tent at night, so plan on arriving with plenty of light! The porta-potties were very clean and it was a great place to make a fire. It's private but you'll hear traffic, so I recommend bringing ear plugs. Great location - easy to access both the dunes and other surrounding attractions like the Heceta head lighthouse and Hobbit trail. Hosts were very nice and responsive - would definitely go again!

This is a rustic site right off 101. The pluses are it is very convenient to get to and it’s surrounded by beautiful trees was very protected and quiet, even though near the road. There’s a picnic table. It had just rained so it was very muddy. It was a decent stuff for just one night, but definitely overpriced.

Absolutely wonderful space- right near the Sea Lion cave and the Sand Dunes! Incredibly clean porta potties and beautiful grounds. Would stay again!

This was a very spacious camp site! It could host multiple families easily with enough foliage to provide privacy. We had such a great time! Yes, the road noise and neighbor noise (chainsaws) could get annoying at times, overall it was lovely. Bathrooms were clean!

Super beautiful and spacious spot for tent camping! It would be really nice to have some kind of water access on site for dishes and washing up, but the drive to the nearest store is less than ten minutes so we could refill our water jugs easily anyway. Very well situated campsite close to the beach.

This was a really really cool spot. I drove by it a few times just for the view again hehe. I would have stayed at least 2 nights, maybe 3 or 4 to explore the area more. Compared to other spots I camped, this was clean, private and felt really safe because of the home next door. We also had no issues with mosquitoes around the time we stayed, which was the middle of June. It was great they left fuel to start the fire, although we didn't need it, if you get even a little rain it's an effort to get a fire going. If you're coming from a dryer place, make sure you pack twice as warm as you think you need. The damp is deceiving and early mornings nip before the fire starts.

Amazing! Felt super secluded even though it's right off the Hwy. We were the only ones at the site. The property felt magical. Directions were easy to follow. Would definitely recommend.

As mentioned, close to the road but tucked away enough for privacy and dogs to roam free. Directions were clear. Site was clean and well kept. Porta potty was also clean. Host is quick to respond.

Great quick getaway! Close to the beach and can hear waves, especially at night. Host is transparent about the road noise but it gets pretty quiet in the evenings and at night so it didn’t really bother us. Lots of space to set up camp, close to amenities, nice hosts (not onsite). Would recommend!

We had a great one night stay at Megan and Jason’s site. It was easy to find, a beautiful setting, and close access to hiking trails and beaches. We personally did not have any issues with the road noise, and at night we enjoyed listening to the sounds from the shore. Our dog enjoyed exploring the land and relaxing by the picnic table!

Lost Coast Adventure Camp
Lost camp is easily one of the coolest chunks of land in Western Oregon. The Coast is largely privatized by logging interests and luxury condos, and it's a relief to see some owners choosing to keep land wild. We had an amazing time with our small group, huddled around the campfire, telling stories late into the night. Tuna tataki, and local albacore poke took the evening to the next level. The access here is pretty unparalleled with easy jumping off to Cape Perpetua, Neptune, and Yachats just a short beautiful drive away.

It was a beautiful campsite and the port o john was very, verey clean. My only realization was, how close it was to the road. It wasn't a problem at night but very noisy during the day.
