Welcome to the Garden Guest Cottage! This sunny, quiet straw bale dwelling comes complete with a kitchen, indoor bathroom, shower, wood stove, and private back porch. Ideal for two people, up to four can be accommodated if they’re willing to sleep on a comfy futon on the floor. Eclectically furnished with inherited and thrifted treasures, all the comforts of home are included in your stay: linens, bath towels, books, dishes, cookware, utensils, firewood, and more. We’re located just a few hundred yards from the world-renowned Herb Pharm, minutes from several lovely hiking spots, and across the street from a working sheep farm. This cozy three-room cottage is the perfect place to launch your exploration of the biologically rich Siskiyou Mountains or simply enjoy a peaceful retreat. Your host is the author of a local hiking trail guide and can direct you to the best recreational spots around the Williams Valley and beyond. Less than a mile from “downtown” Williams, this sweet refuge is conveniently located and graced with surrounding gardens, plenty of windows, and comfortable accoutrements. In season, fresh vegetables and flowers will be your welcome gift!This 800 square foot straw bale cottage has one large brightly lit room with lots of windows, a wood stove, queen bed and double futon - in addition to a separate kitchen, entry room and bathroom. The kitchen has a full sized frig, stove with oven and a double sink. The bathroom has a flush toilet, sink and there's an inside shower as well. Out the back door is an attached a private deck and yard surrounded by forest and native plantings. Out front is a small orchard and veggie and flower garden separating the studio from the host's house. There's a parking space by the house for you. From there you'll walk about a hundred yards to get to the your accommodation.
