Welcome to Fernwood Retreat at Bloom Hill Farms tucked away in the rolling hills of the coastal mountains. We call it Fernwood because of the beautiful ferns and forest area throughout our 8-acre farm. We currently offer three sites that are private and secluded. We are off the beaten path with no road traffic or light pollution which makes the night sky and stars so vibrant it looks like you could reach out your hand and touch them. Wake up in the morning, make some coffee and stroll the walking paths along the property. Sit on the creek side bench and soak in the sounds of the birds chirping or just listen to the water flow. Take a stroll through Fern Gully and listen to the squirrels chatter. We offer a meditation area, a communal fire pit, lighted paths, farm fresh eggs, seasonal veggies, a pond and even a big swing! We are situated in the beautiful Southern Willamette Valley and close to many award winning wineries like Bluebird Hills Cellars and Broadley Vineyards, breweries like Long Timber Brewing Company, hiking, waterfalls, mountain bike trails and just an hour away from the Pacific Ocean. William J. Finely Wildlife Preserve is just a few miles up the road as is the historic Hull-Oakes Lumber Mill. And my neighbor is Lainey Morse founder of Original Goat Yoga!! We provide a charging station/electricity, port-o-potty, potable well water and each site has two Adirondack chairs and a picnic table. Each stay includes a half dozen farm fresh eggs.

Had a blast camping here during Memorial Day weekend! It was a great price, super private, no noise from neighboring campsites. We slept so peacefully and were conveniently located to many beautiful trails! Host made us feel super welcome and had two adorable dogs. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for a laid back camping experience!

Forest Site
We loved camping at Fernwood retreat for Mother’s Day weekend! We had the forest site which was under the trees, close to the communal fire pit, and not far at all from the restroom. The ambiance at night with all the lights was so spectacular. My kiddos still talk about our campsite and ask everyday when we will go back. Of course the property is beautiful and the sites are well planned out but our favorite part of the trip would have to be Petra’s beautiful dog Bryndle! She was such a welcoming bundle of joy. Our family would love to go back when the flowers are in bloom and see the full potential of the farm. You can really see the hard work and dedication her and max have put into the property. Thank you so much Petra for being such an inviting and kind host. We look forward to staying there again.

My fiancée, son and I loved our stay at the Hillside campsite. All the essentials for camping were provided and Petra was very accommodating and generous. After walking around the property we 100% recommend any campsite, they are all perfect in their own way. 10/10 would recommend.

We loved staying at Petra's farm! We've stayed at many hipcamps and this was one of the best we've stayed at. The property is super well maintained and there's clearly been a lot of thought and effort put into it. The sites we're clean and had tarps over the picnic tables, there was a macerating toilet just put in, and there's a big communal fire pit (and lots of firewood to use!) We stayed in the forest site which was closest to the house. If you want complete privacy this site might not be for you but it is closest to the firepit and the toilet. Petra and her dog were super welcoming and friendly, and we felt super safe staying here!
