Welcome to Fernwood Retreat at Bloom Hill Farms tucked away in the rolling hills of the coastal mountains. We call it Fernwood because of the beautiful ferns and forest area throughout our 8-acre farm. We currently offer three sites that are private and secluded. We are off the beaten path with no road traffic or light pollution which makes the night sky and stars so vibrant it looks like you could reach out your hand and touch them. Wake up in the morning, make some coffee and stroll the walking paths along the property. Sit on the creek side bench and soak in the sounds of the birds chirping or just listen to the water flow. Take a stroll through Fern Gully and listen to the squirrels chatter. We offer a meditation area, a communal fire pit, lighted paths, farm fresh eggs, seasonal veggies, a pond and even a big swing! We are situated in the beautiful Southern Willamette Valley and close to many award winning wineries like Bluebird Hills Cellars and Broadley Vineyards, breweries like Long Timber Brewing Company, hiking, waterfalls, mountain bike trails and just an hour away from the Pacific Ocean. William J. Finely Wildlife Preserve is just a few miles up the road as is the historic Hull-Oakes Lumber Mill. And my neighbor is Lainey Morse founder of Original Goat Yoga!! We provide a charging station/electricity, port-o-potty, potable well water and each site has two Adirondack chairs and a picnic table. Each stay includes a half dozen farm fresh eggs.

A beautiful little hideaway to camp and enjoy nature! Petra is so welcoming and kind, and the pups were as well! Would definitely return.

Great place to camp!
Amazing place to camp! The campsite was private, the host was kind, and there were two super friendly dogs. The directions to get there were clear, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I enjoyed staying on Petra's land. The directions were clear and I was immediately able get to the campsite and set up. The campsite was clean and laid out in a thoughtful and pleasing manner complete with strings of lights in the trees. Petra came later to see how things were going and if I needed anything. There were some wood chipped trails leading to gardens and other areas of interest. A pleasant experience.

Fun on the farm!
We stayed for the 10/13/23 Annular Eclipse. Petra's farm was right in the path. She was a great host. The green space where we camped was well taken care of and ready for guests. Everything we needed was provided for us including carts for moving camp supplies, wood for our fire, and a lovely outdoor toilet. We watched the eclipse the next morning and met some nice people as we packed up for home.

Forest Site
I had a wonderful time staying in the forest site! It was very peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed waking up to the birds chirping. This was just what I was looking for.
