Established in 1950, the Douglas County Parks Department proudly holds the title of Oregon's first County Park system. Today, it spans an impressive 69 properties, featuring 23 boat ramps, 10 campgrounds, and 40 day-use parks that stretch from the stunning Pacific Ocean to the majestic Cascades, all nestled within the picturesque 100 Valleys of the Umpqua. What sets Douglas County Parks apart is their self-sufficiency; they operate without any county tax revenue. This means that the upkeep and management of these beautiful parks rely on the support of visitors like you.
